Tl* the contact owns a 2004 ford f-350. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 mph, the engine stalled and was able to restart. the failure occurred on four occasions. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pressure sensor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 ford f-350. the contact was driving 50 mph when the vehicle independently decreased in speed. the vehicle was taken to the dealer. the failure diagnosis was that the pintle from the fuel injector had broken. the vehicle was repaired, and the manufacturer was contacted. the failure mileage was 74,881 and the current mileage was 74,950.
My 2004 ford f-350 6.0 diesel. hesitate or surges while driving, and/or the engine may stall while driving at all speeds including highway speed, will lose power steering and brakes and when at a stop it will lunge forward. the engine may or may not restart after stall. i feel that this is a great safety concern i have almost lost control of my vehicle on a few occasions while towing my boat and going around corners. i have heard of other people having the same problems with their 2004 6.0 diesels. please help! *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 ford f-350. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact placed the gear shifter into neutral and was able to restart the vehicle. in addition, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. while driving various speeds, the battery, oil pressure and check engine warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel injection control module failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they did not have a record of the vehicle being serviced. no further assistance was offered. the approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
Tl* the contact owns a 2004 ford f350. the contact was driving at approximately 40 mph when the vehicle suddenly began to shake and jerk forward. the vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who informed the contact that the egr cooler and three fuel injectors were the cause for the failure. the vehicle was repaired at that time. later, the high oil pressure pump and oil cooler failed. the vehicle was awaiting further repairs at the time of the complaint. the contact called the manufacturer but was told that she would have to assume all repair costs at her expense. the failure mileage approximately was 121,000. the current mileage was approximately 130,000.
Tl*- the contact owns a 2004 ford f-350. the contact stated that intermittently while driving, the vehicle would stall for 2-3 minutes, followed by a cloud of smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. engine failure while driving increases the risk for vehicle crash. the vehicle was taken to the dealership, in which a technician concluded that there was water corrosion in the fuel line. no repairs have been made.the current and failure mileages were 94000.
Vehicle had a stalling problem on accelleration. vehicle idled fine, but frequently on acceleration from a stop after vehicle started to roll. engine will misfire, shutter, or backfire for several seconds until clearing up. also, vehicle misfired at highway speeds. vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occations to find the cause of the problem, but they reported could not duplicate the problem. dealer replaced several injectors and egr valve to no avail. *ak
Vehicle is experiencing a problem with the exhaust fumes which seem to be getting into the cab of the pickup. vehicle has been to the dealers on several occasions. also, contacted the manufacturer. however, they did not help the owner with this problem. the exhaust fumes were coming through the air conditioner and heat vents. when driving, the exhaust fumes burned the driver's eyes, and gave owner a headache. *ak updated 12/27/2005 - the vehicle has also been having injector problems *nm
