My spare tire fell out from underneath the truck while driving down the road. upon inspection the cable that held the tire under the truck was frayed and broke.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving 40 mph, the after market rim on the front passenger tire split in half. the split occurred leaving two crescent pieces of the rim. the rear driver side rim had also split two years prior to this failure. the first rim was replaced with a new rim, but the manufacturer determined the second rim should be welded back together. the weld racing inc., scorpio rims were on a 2001 ford f350. *ak updated 6/19/2006 - the consumer has replaced all four rims. the new rims are by another manufacturer. *nm

While driving vehicle shook uncontrollably. driver hit the guard rail. no injuries reported. driver noticed the right side wheel sheared off. had the vehicle towed to the dealer, and mechanic determined that the wheel and hub assembly v needed to be replaced. *ak steering felt jerky at times. abs light came on in the dash board. the consumer heard metal to metal while driving. the consumer stopped the vehicle and got out to see the front left tire detatched from the vehicle. *tc
