We have classified the 2 complaints from 1999 Ford F-350 about ELECTRICAL SYSTEM into the following categories.
While4 driving at 40 mph consumer heard a popping noise under the hood. consumer had the vehicle towed. dealership informed the consumer that the problem pertained to the spark plug failure. the problem was not resolved. *ak the cylinder head failed. the spark plug fell out of the engine. *tc
After being parked for an hour vehicle caught on fire. please provide additional information. *ak
Consumer states that while driving,the 4 interior lights suddenly came on,driver was unable to turn them off. power window, and windshield whiper became inoperative.had vehicle serviced,the computer gem module had went out. this also controls the 4 wheel drive. mr
Fire destroyed truck started near dash area and under truck. *ak
From delivery, abs and check engine light intermittantly stay on. el;ectrical system sometimes 'stumbles' and looses voltage... as if it is going to stall.. then it corrects itself until the next time driving is very difficult at times due to poor front shock/spring setup.. must fight to keep on road at times. i have had to place 500 lb. weight in rear to improve this somewhat.
Defective relay module which is attached to the sidewall in the engine compartment caught on fire. please provide further information. *ak
