On 4/19/19 i misfueled my diesel vehicle. i stopped the process immediately and called ford from the filling station. the ford service center said that i should avoid turning the engine on, or even placing the engine in accessory mode because it would engage the fuel pump and flood the system with gasoline. when the tow truck arrived, it became clear that i could not put the vehicle in neutral to be winched onto the flatbed tow truck without turning on the accessory mode. i called ford for an alternative. ford recommended that i disconnect a cable beneath the truck that would disengage the transmission and allow the truck to move. because i could not figure out how to do this, i had to turn on the accessory to get the truck out of park for towing. this caused about $12,000 in damage to the fuel system. more to the point of this complaint, i later discovered that this procedure is not in the manual for my truck. further, the procedure that is in the manual was not mentioned. it is possible that the ford manual contains a procedure that does not apply to the truck. it is also possible that ford is recommending a procedure that is inherently more dangerous than the procedure in the manual.
Bought a 2018 ford f250.. drover it for about 1500 miles. went on a trip to yosemite national park , on the way back. we were on the 5 fwy back to los angeles we are going 70 and all the sudden lost gas pedal in line one with a bunch of riggs around me. trying to get to the shoulder line just with impulse of the truck ,stop on the shoulder and turn it off waited like 5 minutes and restarted and got home. at home when try to restart it would not star at all. took the dealer they say got fix . drove it for about 50 miles and the same problem but this time my wife was driving it with all my family aboard on the 405 fwy on the second line on fwy with five line each way. also no pedal power took it to curosco ford in long beach. curosco ford and ford tech advise it was pedal control order the pedal control. was told the truck will be ready 5 day later. went to the dealer five days later. the tech say they install the padel and test drove it, but five miles later still lost pedal control, this is 20 days later and the truck still not fix can not find the proplem on it. bought the truck on 07/31/2018 and i had it on my possession for about 20 put 1500 miles. ford say i can trade that in loose 25000.00 and that all they can do.. lemon law does not cover because it has not happen three time and i am not willing to try for the third time and have and accident.
