I have a 2006 ford f250 6.0 it has been towed 8 times, i ve had turbo, injector, electrical, wheel, trans problems since day one of purchase. theres over 16 pages of mechanical problems that has been performed and counting. i know i am not the only one thats having these problems and i can't get much assistance from ford. it going to take someone like this agency to help us. this is alot when you pay $51000.00 plus addition repairs for a vehicle with a extented warr. *tt

The ficm (fuel injector control module) on the 6.0l powerstrokes are a known item to fail. they lose voltage and make injectors not work, which shuts off the vehicle. this can happen at any time while at an idle or going down the highway. once this happens, the truck shuts off and you lose power steering and braking ability. mine shut off while going down the road several times now, but ford does not want to warranty it. my small town ford dealership replaces several of these parts a week. does someone have to die for them to issue a recall on these? *tr

2/15/10 ~ fuel regulator changed. 2/16/10 ~ sensor and connector changed. 3/1/2010~ fuel injectors replaced, egr collor connector, high pressure oil pump prelaced. now 1 year later all injectors need to be replaced again.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford f250. the contact attempted to accelerate from a complete stop, but there was no engine power. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where the fuel filter was replaced. the failure reoccurred two days after the repair. the contact was able to drive the vehicle back to the dealer for diagnosis. the technician informed the contact that the failure could possibly be contributed to the fuel injectors. the vehicle was in the process of being repaired. the vehicle had not been driven for one year due to the intermittent failures and insufficient repairs. the failure occurred four different times. the failure mileage was approximately 120,000. the vin was unavailable. updated 12/10/10. *lj

Dt*: the contact stated without warning, while driving at any speed, the engine would cut out and stall while the accelerator pedal was being released. the vehicle restarted after 15 minutes. the dealership determined the injectors went out, causing diesel to get into the oil. the injectors were replaced and the oil changed. since the repairs, the transmission slips while pulling a horse trailer over a mountain. the vehicle has not been returned to the dealership.
