One of the vapor valves breaks on the gasoline tank, it is not replaceable so you have to buy a new tank. ford has obsoleted the tank and it is not available from any place. you can smell the gas vapors when the truck is at rest. i am waiting for it to blow up.
While driving the mounts that hold the fuel tank failed causing the tank to fall off and drag on the road, eventually wearing a hole in the tank causing the fuel to leak out. obviously once the gas ran out the vehicle would no longer operate. we were lucky that there was no fire. *tr
