Problems with 2001 Ford F-250 SUSPENSION

After traveling over small bumps, like railroad tracks most recently, at around 30mph, one front wheel started bouncing violently, making vehicle loose control until truck could be brought to a stop. had experienced this numerous time in the past but thought problem was solved by adding a steering stabilizer a few years ago. problem has returned. each time, this has nearly resulted in a catastrophic accident. *tr

Consumer stated "wheel bearing is a manufacture defect". dealer contacted and states that the part was a field defect. please provide additional information. ts

This incident was a complete shock: i had just put my truck in reverse to back-up and the front axle completely fell- the right hand wheel collapsed: i have pictures. mr

While traveling at 40 to 65 mph vehicle swerves from side to side. sometimes it's hard to steer vehicle. cause is unknown. please provide any further information. *ak

Rear axle seal failed and was leaking lubricant into the drivers side wheel rim and braking components. if gone unnoticed this could potentially cause failure of the left side braking system in the rear of the vehicle.

Consumer stated there was a squeak in the steering wheel when making turns, also the steering was hard to adjust on tilt wheel.*jb

Upon entering the highway, the truck suddenly started having problems, the r.p.m. gauge started fluctuating from 1000 to 3000 r.p.m., it squealed and jerked into gear and a popping noise was coming from the right side of the front end. the dealer could not find any problem, but he suggested that it could have been the clutch fan slipping. consumer experienced again what he felt was transmission problems but the light never flashed on the overdrive column so taking note of what was happening and continued driving. then the light started flashing on the overdrive column, within seconds, consumer noticed a large puff of black smoke coming from under the truck, the r.p.m. gauge went to below 1000, the truck lost all power, and the cab started filling with smoke, fire was escalating under the truck and hood. possible engine failure. *yd *slc

Ongoing problem with vibration while driving. dealer notified. feel free to provide any further information. *ak

Pe 0200; was traveling about 22mph and felt vibration on left front tire. the firestone, steel tex at. consumer will contact firestone. *ak

Vehicle's front left and right lower ball joints failed at different times not from usual wear and tear. lower ball joints had to be replaced. *tt

Vehicle would drift either left or right. has not been to dealer. son drove vehicle & rear end fishtailed around front on snowy road & ended up hitting a bridge. rear end hit first & then spun around, and front end hit bridge. *ak

There is visible shaking in front end at 65 mph. dealer cannot remedy.*ak

On several occasions, the power steering is weak or non-existing when putting foot on the brake and driving in slow conditions. dealer states this is normal, consumer also states that tail gate does not open, stabilizer link replaced. *ak *tt
