Tl* the contact owns a 1999 ford f-250. while driving approximately 55 mph, the spare tire detached and went under the trailer that was being hauled. the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the median. a police report was not filed. the contact went to the hospital, but there were no injuries. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was being repaired. the vin was unknown. the approximate failure mileage was 165,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 1999 ford f-250. the contact stated while parked the rear driver and passenger side doors would not open when the latch was pulled from the interior or exterior of the vehicle. an independent mechanic performed a diagnostic test and stated the lock and cable assembly had to be replaced on both doors. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 200,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 1999 ford f250. while inspecting the undercarriage of the vehicle, the contact touched the cross member and it immediately crumbled in his hands. a mechanic came out to inspect the vehicle and stated that all of the cross members that support the bed across the frame were all defective. through research, the contact discovered that numerous vehicles of the same model were experiencing this failure. he believes that a recall should be issued. the current and failure mileages were 217,000.

Door ajar light and courtesy light remaining on after all doors are closed properly. dealer notified, and informed that was not a manufacturer's recall. feel free to provide any further details on this matter. *ak

This truck has many problems. strarting with the transmission going out, the front right side of the truck there is a distinctive "clunk" when put into gear; either forward or reverse. then going interior; the "door ajar" light comes on it thinks that the doors are not shut, but you can slam all 4 doors shut and it still thinks the doors are "ajar" so that will keep the interior light on while driving. the interior light will go out if you get up to about 20 mph, then when you slow down to under 20mph it will come back on. the "warning bell" comes on and stays on even when the truck is shut off. next the seat belts will some times work and some times not. either the are hard to pull out or they will not retract. the tailgate cover has warped in not even 1 year after we had it.

Frame is bent which allows the vehicle to go down the road sideways. *ak

Driver's side door would not close completely. insufficient adjustment space in latch assembly to correct problem

The vehicle pulled to the left and the right, the tire were cupping on the edges, the cloth seat were wearing, the radius arms were loose, the lights were inoerative, there was a squeak in the cowel, the engine experienced gasket and seal problems, however once the engine was replaced, it burned oil fast.*scc *jb

Even with the doors shut ajar, instrument panel reflects within windshield, causing poor visiblity for the driver at night. dealer can't duplicate the problem. *ak

At 20,000 miles ongoing problem with loss of power after 1/2 hours of running and stalling out when applying accelerator pedal from a stop position. vehicle been in dealer shop on five occasions, and probelem still reoccurring. *ak dealer has replaced the fuel pump, air flow sensor, mass air flow sensor, and the o2 sensors, some of these have been replaced more than once and vehicle continues to lose power and stall. door ajar light illuminated, dealer ordered left door jam switch. fuel gauge reads full when it is not, dealer replaced fuel sender. consumer states passenger front rim is warped. shifter handle bezel keeps popping off, transmission would not go into all gears, when backing in reverse, ther is a squealing noise. left door cylinder replaced. abs light illuminated when going in reverse. air conditioner does not get cold. *slc

While driving at 70 mph, consumer's grandson was sitting up front when he wanted to look out the window and see how high they were off the road. he touched/grabbed handle on passengers door to pull self closer to window and reached in too far, hitting the door handle which was locked. upon touching the handle while the door was locked the door utomatically popped open. the maufacturer need to put child proof locks on passenger door as grab handles are right in front of door handle. *ak

No protective shield for the air condenser.

Engine surging unresolved, surging is linked to cruise control malfuncition.
