Problems with 2013 Ford F-150 SERVICE BRAKES

On average, the 2013 Ford F-150 starts to “feel” problems with the SERVICE BRAKES and its various aspects after 70 109 miles.

Recently reported SERVICE BRAKES problems on 2013 Ford F-150

Brakes do not stop truck ,the pedal pushes all the way to the floor, start to get a wheel vibrations as vehicle slows. will not stop in a panic situation. vehicle is driven mostly city at speeds of 35 to 40 mile per hour. seems more pronounced on hills and coming to a light or stop sign. vehicle just turned 20,000 miles, have already replaced brakes and rotors a two years ago .

Failure of master cylinder with no warning. only indication was a message indicating low fluid level and brake light on dash illuminating. some breaking ability was retained but was dimished. issue occurred while one a lightly trafficed local road. refilling of fluid only resulted in same loss of fluid and warning lights reoccurring a few moments later. diagnosed as failed master cylinder and fluid accumulation in brake booster also necessitated its replacement, with both replaced under warranty. this is a my13 3.5 l ecoboost model with a july 17 2013 build date, and 59500 miles. this is just 2 weeks outside of effected vehicles previously recalled for this exact issue.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. when the contact depressed the brake pedal, the brakes seized. also, the "check brakes" warning indicator and the fluid indicator illuminated. the contact called carbone ford at (802) 442-2888 (897 n bennington rd, bennington, vt 05201) and was informed of the failure. the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was contacted and stated that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. the failure mileage was 68,000. the vin was not available.

Vehicle brakes failed completely with no warning. brake pedal went to the floor as i approached a stop light with 2 card in front of me, i was able to engage the e brake to stop the truck. immediately after the incident the brake warning light illuminated as well as the low brake fluid warning indicator. i refilled the brake fluid reservoir but after driving a few miles the alarm sounded again, once again the brake fluid reservoir was completely empty. vehicle is unsafe to operate.

Left brake line collapsed resulting in the replacement of brake line, caliper, brake pads and rotor. i was driving, applied brakes and heard squealing. this was on highway driving coming into the city. the next morning took drove the truck to mechanic and was told these items had been affected by the collapse of the brake line.

2013 ford f150 purchase 2 yrs ago with 51k in miles. the dealer had installed new breaks and rotors. the other day i started hearing a bad break noise so i took a look. the outside pads still had enough pad on them to see. i was away from home for the day so the next day i ordered pads and rotors. from the time i left my house taking neighborhood streets to the auto parts store to the time i got back i went from break noise to only an emergency break. i take off the passenger tire to find brake fluid everywhere. i open the hood to see the reservoir empty. i remove the caliper to find there is no inner break pad, not even a steel plate? the caliper piston had hit the rotor and melted a bit. in all my years i have never seen or heard of a break pad coming loose from the holder. i found the steel plate the pad attaches to stuck in the shroud. got it out and looked at it. it doesn't appear to be that much thinner than a new one. so i get to looking into it and read lots of people talking about excessive wear on the inside front pads. i also find out about a recall for the master cylinder. i put the vehicle back together and park it. check the mail box to find a recall notice for it. i get the truck into the dealer and am told ford will only cover the master cylinder. now there are no noise indicators on the brake pads to tell you of ware anymore. and why did the plate come out of the holder. i am thankful i wasn't on the highway with my grandson. the truck only has 31k more miles on it than when the dealer replaced the brakes before. most of those are highway and i don't haul things. i think this is a life safety issue and poor engineering.

At 42k miles, front brakes and rotors were trashed. now at 80k miles, front brakes and rotors are trash again. too soon for mean time between failure. all the while, brake fluid would disappear and had to be filled 3-4 times. however, there are not apparent leaks within the system

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving approximately 70 mph, all the warning indicators on the instrument panel illuminated and the brake pedal became very stiff. the contact started pumping the brake pedal until the vehicle stopped. the vehicle was driven to kalispell ford in kalispell, montana where it was diagnosed that the engine vacuum pump failed and needed replacement. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 64,000. *tt right after repair contact drove home and brakes went out again. vehicle was turned off and started again in which brakes came back into full use. dealership was notified and kept vehicle for a week in which the failure was reproduced. ford does not want to pay for repairs. *tt

Low brake fluid alert came on, but no visible leaks. fluid continues to slowly leak.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving 30 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, but failed to stop the vehicle. the contact stated that the brake system failure warning indicator illuminated. the contact had to apply the parking brake to slow down and stop the vehicle. the failure recurred twice. the vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. frederick motor company (1 waverley dr, frederick, md 21702, (301) 663-6111) was contacted and an appointment was made to have the vehicle diagnosed. the manufacturer was also notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 46,000.

After pulling into parking lot, and at low speed, i began to press my brake pedal down to come to a stop. i wasn't stopping and had to use all of my weight on the pedal to stop. once stopped, i had a notification popup that read "check brake systems", followed by my parking light being illuminated. i turned my truck off and back on, and this time, pushing the brake pedal felt like i was trying to push a brick down. 10 seconds later i got the "check brake system" notification, in addition to the check engine light being illuminated. had i been on an actual street when this happened, this could have ended very badly.

1. loss of brakes resulting in pedal going all way to floor at 35 mph city. recall 16s24 but ford dealership is saying my vehicle is not included 2. loss of engine power while attempting to merge onto highway at 65 mph, this has occurred three times. 3. recall 19s07: brought into dealership, stated they don't have the software yet to remedy the problem of sudden power train downshift prime ford 857 portland rd saco maine 04072 service manager :stacey drummey 207-571-5035

2013 ford raptor super crew 27953 miles. oil change 2 months ago. oil life still at 69%. i went with the recommended ford motor company synthetic and ford motor company oil filter. i was on my way home from work about 10 minutes into my drive. i went to take off from a stop light and i got through the intersection and had an immediate reduction in power the truck was stuck at 1,000 rpms and would not do anything but slowly creep forward at 5 miles an hour. i limped to a lighted parking lot about a half block away as my low oil pressure light came on and a wrench icon on the dash. i shut it off and popped open the hood. i check my oil level transmission fluid level power steering level and everything was well above tolerances. i could find no problems and when i got back in the truck and started it, it ran fine all the way home. i just scanned the system and no error codes. the stop light road was at a slight downward angle and i had just below a half tank of 93 octane fuel. k and n air filter in stock holder. no other power train or engine modifications. loss of power, power steering and decreased braking. it would have been very dangerous had it not been later at night.

I was slowing down as i approached a red light at an intersection. the vehicle was slowing down fine but when i tried to come to a complete halt the brake pedal suddenly felt soft or loose and easily hit the floor but vehicle did not stop and kept rolling forward slowly. i pumped the brakes but the brake pedal just felt soft and easily hit the floor. i managed to steer to avoid a pedestrian and then jammed transmission into park and this stopped vehicle. road condition was slightly wet but clear. the vehicle was traveling slowly at the time of the incident. i then shut off and restarted engine. then i tested the brakes again and they worked fine. took vehicle to local ford dealership to get checked out. the dealership could not find a specific cause for this brake failure, no sign of brake oil leak. dealership recommended replacing master brake cylinder. there is a recall for this exact same model, but only for those trucks built in august 2013. my truck was built in kansas city february 2013, so i had to pay for cost of work.

I was driving about 55 mph and my red break light came on. i then tapped my breaks and realized my pedal was nearly fully compressed and extremely firm to press. i was forced to mash the breaks to get the vehicle to slow down at all. i pulled over and sat for a while, off and on pressing the brake pedal. about 15 minutes later i started my truck and the issue went away. i drove another 15 minutes home with no issue. the very next day i was driving down a bridge the exact same issue occurred, once again being forced to smash the break and nearly causing a wreck. i repeated the same steps and the problem went away after a few minutes.

I first noticed the problem when i was slowing to a stop on a city street. i had my foot on the brake pedal applying constant pressure and the vehicle was slowing down. then it felt as if the brakes had loosened and the car was no longer slowing down. i "pumped" the brake pedal (let up on the pedal and then re-applied pressure) and i had pedal pressure and was able to apply brakes to slow down. i tested the brakes again at the next intersection and they felt fine so i ignored it thinking i had probably lifted my foot off the pedal. it happened 1 or 2 other times, and i also had my wife drive the vehicle to ensure it wasn't just me. she also noticed the odd feel and behavior of the brake pedal. at this time (maybe 1 week after first noticing the problem), i was testing the brakes and was able to push the peddle all the way to the floor. it had brake pedal, but if i kept increasing the pressure, it would go to the floor, but with some resistance. think of an air mattress as you are pushing air out of it. that is what it felt like. it was at this point i took it into my local dealership and they confirmed the master cylinder was faulty and needed to be replaced. there is an existing recall on the same make, model, and year of my vehicle (investigation: pe 16-003, recall: 16v-345), but only for vehicles manufactured august 1, 2013, to august 31, 2014. my vehicle was manufactured in june 2013 at the kansas, missouri plant.

Driving on highway, low brake fluid light came on, got off at closest exit, brakes went to floor had to use emergency brake to stop. no fluid in master cylinder, no sign of leaks, walked to walmart bought fluid, filled with fluid, drove home, light came on again, pulled into garage hit wall when brakes went to floor,. contacted local ford dealer and ford customer assistance and was told my truck was not part of the recall, 16v345000. my truck build date is 7/2013, action covers build date starting 8/ 2013. everything else is same, 3.5 ecoboost, built in dearborn. 42,384 miles just out of 3/36 bomber to bumper warranty. 5/50 is in effect but does not cover brakes.

The brake pedal has no presser, it's lower to the floor. there is no oil leak on all four wheel, the vehicle has about 45,000 miles.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving downhill and towing a trailer at approximately 55 mph, the brakes failed. also, the speed increased to over 70 mph and the check braking system and emergency brake sensor indicators illuminated. the vehicle was towed to the dealer (future ford in roseville, ca) where it was diagnosed that oil from the vacuum pump had leaked into the brake booster, causing both the front and rear brakes to malfunction. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 79,000.

Driving on the highway at 60 mph the brake system hazard light illuminated. the electronic breaks did not work properly. it was raining slightly and the roads were wet. first incident of this happening, the sync system/ touch screen has froze and not worked both in motion, and stationary 3 times. concerned that all electrical issues may be related. have owned used vehicle for 50 days, just went over 60,000 miles.

Hard jumpy braking. it will sometimes not stop at all or it will stop really hard. the mechanic says there was a leak and the vacuum motor has stopped working. this would happen any time moving slowly at home or in town or driving down the highway. this has happened multiple times during the past month.

25000 miles. have to replace front brakes, right front caliper sticking. rotors, pads, caliper, and hose all have to be replaced. normal driving no towing or heavy loads. a known problem to ford and dealers. ford thinks it's not a safety problem. since when are low mileage brake failures not a safety problem? huge expense. ford needs to be accountable. fortunately this was caught when tires were rotated. no accident or damage.

The brake master cylinder reservoir is losing brake fluid that is leaking into the brake booster, causing loss of brakes. we were informed, by our goodyear service provider in our community as we do not have a ford dealership, that there is a recall# 16s24 for ford f-150 2013-2014 trucks with this specific and exact issue of brake fluid leaking into the brake booster, however our truck was made on july 18 and the recall date is for vehicles made between aug 1-aug 31. i feel this is a case of complete negligence on ford's part, as our vehicle is the same make, year, model and displaying the exact problem that the recall is for, yet they say it does not fall in their recall details, so it is not their responsibility. they are fully aware of this extremely unsafe issue with our vehicle, have a recall out, but because ours was technically made two weeks before the aug 1st cutoff date, they will not provide assistance and it is now our out of pocket responsibility. i am completely beside myself on the negligence and irresponsibility we are experiencing and receiving from ford/the ford recall department.

I started the truck and the "low brake fluid" light came on. i drove to the nearest repair facility (about 4.7 miles) upon arrival the brakes went to the floor, after pumping the h$ll out of them i barely stopped before crashing into a group of cars. come to find out the master cylinder is blowing fluid into the brake power booster on each press of the brakes. this happened all of the sudden and could have been very deadly if not for the fact that i was going very slow to begin with due to traffic. now why, after not even 30k miles would this catastrophic failure happen?

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. when the vehicle was started, the contact heard an abnormal noise was present. the contact turned the steering wheel in the other direction and the noise started again. when the contact shut off the vehicle and restarted it, "steering fault" illuminated on the message center and the steering ability became very difficult. the vehicle was driven to deltaville auto and marine in deltaville, virginia where it was diagnosed that the steering rack failed. also, on the way to the dealer, the brake warning indicator illuminated and "brake fluid low" appeared on the message center. the contact added 3/4 of a quarter of brake fluid, but by the time the vehicle was moved to the parking lot, the brake fluid was gone. there were no noticeable leaks. the manufacturer was notified of the failures. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 42,871.

Driving on interstate when brake light came on. tried brakes but they did not work. very hard pedal that could not be pressed on without noises coming the brakes. stopped vehicle with ebrake and took to locale ford dealer. discovered that vacuum pump locked up causing the exaust cam to break into pcs inside the motor. had to replace motor due to the vacuum pump issue.

While driving down highway at 45 mph the brake warning notice chimed and low fluid warning displayed in the dash information panel. i immediately pulled off main road onto a smaller road and then into a parking spot (took about 1 minute). just as i pulled into the parking space, the brake pedal went to the floor and the truck barely came to a stop. for the record, it is a certified pre-owned 2013 f-150 fx4 eco-boost with just under 50,000 miles on it. puzzled, i popped the hood to check the brake fluid and found only 1/2 inch left in the reservoir. this made no sense since i had just filled the windshield fluid a few hours earlier in the morning and noticed that the fluid level for the brakes was about 1/4 inch below the max fill line. i had to call my wife for a ride to the nearest auto parts store to get brake fluid. while i waited i checked the entire truck for brake fluid leaks but did not find any. after returning with the fluid, i filled the reservoir to the max fill line hoping the brakes would return to normal but thinking there might be a leak somewhere. after starting the truck and trying the brake pedal, i found that the brake pedal still only goes all the way to the floor and there is no pressure. i have concluded that the master cylinder must not be working. lucky for ford my 2 year old daughter and 10 month old son were not in the vehicle at the time and also lucky that i did not hit anyone or anything. i am very angry and also concerned. this is a family vehicle, working brakes are not negotiable.

I am having brake issues just had all new brakes and rotors replaced as check brake system light has come on after repairs were made i was still having issues that i was having prior to repair loss of braking system on several occasions with kids in the car brake goes to the floor and some time later re gain breaking system very scary i have paid over 40 thousand dollar for this truck and well over 8 thousand in repairs what has to be done before recall is issued the run around between dealerships and he said she said. i guess someone has to be killed before there is a recall this is absurd.

Front end shaking at and rotors turned under warranty at 15k, same thing at 23k and rotors turned again. same thing at 35k and still under warranty. now it is 46k and ford can't turn rotors because rotors are out of spec. i have never had rotors warp this fast and f-150 is only driven on highway. ford should fix the calipers or rotors, this is a problem from the factory.

Excessive brake wear. brake lining check at 2,728 miles in august 2013 showed 10 mm front; 7 mm rear. brake lining check at 11,131 miles in july 2017 showed 5 and 6 mm on front and 3 and 2 mm on rear. this seems like excessive deterioration of brakes for number of miles driven.

While decelerating to make a turn, the brake pedal started chattering and braking effectiveness decreased to almost zero. the vehicle ultimately stopped beyond the turn. this was on a paved dry surface with normal braking pressure. it now has happened at least twice.

Brake failure , master cylinder, 2013 and 2014 models where recalled but they say this vin was not in recall, it needs to be before some one dies, while driving we had total brake failure and lucky we were only going 25 mph and able to use emergency brake to stop. 100 yards and we would have been on freeway doing 75 mph

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. while driving 45 mph, the master cylinder rear cup seal fractured and brake fluid leaked into the brake booster. the failure occurred on a consistent basis. the brake light illuminated until brake fluid was added. the failure occurred on july 10 2017. an independent mechanic stated that the master cylinder needed to be replaced. the failure was identical to the failure listed in nhtsa campaign number: 16v345000 (service brakes, hydraulic); however, the vin was not included. the manufacturer advised him to contact the nhtsa hotline. the failure mileage was 57,193.

tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford f-150. the contact stated that while driving about 10 mph, the brake pedal was soft and exhibited an uneven amount of pressure. there was no warning indicator. the vehicle was taken to the dealer at: gary smith ford, 1 beale pkwy, fort walton, fl, where it was diagnosed that the brake master cylinder leaked brake fluid into the brake booster. the technician also stated that there was no recall. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall and provided a case number to the contact. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was about 93,000.

Brake master cylinder failure, causing brake fluid leakage into the brake booster. interestingly, there is a recall for this exact issue in certain 2013-2014 f-150's (submission date : may 23, 2016 nhtsa recall no. : 16v-345 manufacturer recall no. : 16s24). my vin happens to not be included in the recall. it looks like ford may have forgotten to add some trucks to the recall. if you ask me, it's no coincidence that my truck was purchased within the years of the recall, and had the exact same failure as the recall. unfortunately, tomorrow (july 11, 2017) i will pay ~$1050 to get this fixed, when it should have been included in the recall.

My 2013 ford f150 3.7l 66,000 miles has an ongoing brake/rotor problem. i started having the problems at about 36,000 miles. finally replaced the rotors/brakes at 46,000 now the rotors are warping again after only 20,000 miles. the front end has a vibration in it, even when not braking. the recall issued was limited to the 3.5l engine. from my internet research this recalled should be extended to other models.

I was leaving work, as i drove off onto the street in odessa, texas the vehicle seemed normal for 10 mins. all of sudden the first brake i took the brake light came on at a stop sign. i pulled over because my brake pedal slid all the way down to the floor, as a result of this my vehicle was unable to stop. i got off the truck and checked the break fluid reservoir and it was empty. i drove my vehicle to the closest convenient store to purchase brake fluid. i bought two containers and poured into the reservoir and as i drove off, the vehicle seemed to be working for a little while and the light came on again. i drove to the closest mechanic shop; i spoke the mechanic and explained to him what the problem was. he checked for leaks and did not find any he then made a thorough check into the brake booster. he found that the fluid was entering the brake booster. not a good sign he stated. upon arrival to my residence, i looked up ford motor recalls and i learned that these 2013-2014 ford f150 vehicles had recalls to replace brake master cylinders due to brake fluid leaking from the brake master cylinder into the brake booster. the ford motor company recall was issued back in may 25, 2016. however, i have yet to receive a notice.

Put the truck in drive and the brake booster failed.

Sudden failure of brake master cylinder without warning during normal driving in the city. this brake failure caused me to drive off the road in order to avoid colliding with stopped vehicles. this is the exact issue that is included in recall # 16s24, however this recall does not currently include my vehicle. the brake master cylinder suddenly leaked all fluid into the brake booster as described in recall # 16s24 causing the brakes to stop working completely, even with the pedal completely depressed. i am confident the same defective part/seal/assembly that is included in the recalled vehicles was installed on my truck, causing the same issue when the part failed. ford has denied helping me with this issue, and i have a bill from downtown ford in sacramento, ca in the amount of $1009.35 for the repairs related to this defective part.

On saturday june 10, 2017 i was out of town with family in cary, nc. we were leaving the hotel parking lot that morning and when i started the truck and put truck in reverse the brakes did not work.. after looking, i saw there was no brake fluid. there was no brake fluid on the ground so i didn't know what the issue could be. i got more brake fluid then drove to a mechanic. by the time i got to the mechanic (1 mile down the road) the brake fluid was gone again. after the mechanic looked at issue, it was determined that the brake booster failed. they found that there were no parts and it took until tuesday june 13, 2017 to get part and repair. thinking there must be an issue since no parts were available. i found that 126 complaints were registered regarding the brake booster on 2013 ford f150's. after calling ford it was determined that my 2013 ford f150 was not on the list. my ford f150 had the exact same major issue that the ford f150's that were recalled. this is very disturbing that the brakes went out, especially after we had just drove through the west virginia mountains. i have talked to ford multiple times and they are not willing to do anything about this issue. only until the part is put on the recall list for my vin# will ford do something. i have been told to keep my receipts just in case it is put on the recall list. i find this very upsetting that the exact same part had been recalled on other 2013 ford f150, but my vin# was not on the list. i had the exact same issue and this could have been a very bad problem if this happened in the mountains that we had driving through. i have the part that failed and all receipts. i hope that this complaint gets noticed and something is done. thank you

Brakes went completely out while driving on a major highway, had to use emergency brake to finally stop truck. found out there is a recall for 2013-2014 ford f-150 for this problem, however, ford did take a report today, but, they said this truck was not under the recall because it was made on 9-19-2012 and the ones under the recall #16v345000 were built in 2013. funny that this is the exact problem yet not considered part of this recall. the repair involved replacing the master brake cylinder and the brake booster which cost $1193.25. we were lucky no one was injured or worse. just hope they do a very good investigation and hope this does not happen to anyone else who's vehicle was built in 2012. the other note is, the oil did not leak out onto the ground, so no visible problem was seen, the oil went into the booster. i truly believe that this vehicle should be covered under recall # 16v345000. - sharon h., homosassa, us

Leaking master cylinder and power booster. dealer says it's not on recall.

The truck was parked, when i started the truck the low brake fluid light came on and the paddle went to the floor. added brake fluid and the same result, low brake fluid light came back on and the pedal went to the floor. there were no signs of fluid leak under the truck. had it towed to ford dealer. they stated i needed master cylinder and brake booster replaced.

Brake fluid leak from the brake master cylinder into the brake booster

Drove the truck 270 miles at interstate speed on i-95 to a grand daughters graduation in providence ri. at that location while driving at city speeds(35 mph) warning came on "brake fluid low" i checked the brake fluid level and it was low but there was still an inch of fluid in the reservoir, on the 2 mile trip back to the location we were staying, driving at about 35 mph, the brake pedal went to the floor and i lost all break power. the reservoir was completely empty, there was no sign of any break fluid oil under the truck or on the under carriage. had the vehicle towed to a repair shop where the mechanics diagnosis was a failed master brake cylinder where all the brake fluid was sucked into the brake booster. had to book an extra night in providence while waiting for the new master cylinder to arrive. after replacement of the master cylinder the drive, 270 miles home was without incident.

Lost all ability to brake while driving 50 mph on state highway. due to fortunate circumstances and favorable traffic conditions, no injuries were suffered. ford dealer diagnosed the problem as a master cylinder leak that is similar to a current recall for this year, make, and model. despite having an identical master cylinder failure of an active recall, my vin number was not listed on the ford recalls list for this issue.

Drivers side front wheel wore out along with the rotor. lost brake pedal with no lost of fluids. had to replace brakes and rotors but still having trouble with that wheel and rotor along with hardly and brake pedal. it started a long time ago. just kept getting worse.

Brakes failed. was driving to work when i need to stop for red light and pedal went to the floor and i almost went thru the intersection on highway route 100. this was do to the master cylinder and brake booster frailer. i know there is a recall for this but my model and vin # is not included. it has since been repaired by the dealer at a cost to me and not under any recall like the other models

While driving down the highway, the vehicle flashed service advance trac, down hill descent control fault, trailer brake module fail and a couple more codes. all electonics in vehicle went blank, including all controls/gauges. before doing so, last code read, shift to park. almost caused me to have an accident, because the power steering went out and nearly pulled me into another vehicle. the acceleration is bad too, feels like it is not firing all cylinders again. have already taken in for a number of issues, including crankshaft sensor issues(was losing power to driveline); brakes locking up (have replaced the rotors and pads six times and last time i replaced both calibers as well; power steering has been replaced once before, front axles and bearings replaced. as well as, ac problems. when the first issues arose, i was told by service tech at dealership i needed a new engine, (later he completely denied telling me this) instead they fixed some things and gave it back to me. problems have continued since, like i said have taken it in at least 6 times to a dealer and once to an independent mechanic. at first the problems were covered by warrenty, now they are not, there is only 78,000miles on the truck and has been in shop at least 6 times and is only 4 yrs old. not sure what to do, as the problems resemble recall issues, but dealership says they aren't part of any recalls. concerned for my safety on the road.

The right front break keeps over heating even after repeated replacement of calipers rotors and pads. the system locked up and caused heat damage to the flexible line connecting the metal line to caliper and all break components. this ocurred less than 5000 miles after complete break replacement on all tires. the mechanic stated that the driver front still had 99% of its pad. after replacing all components it did it again in less than 100 miles. the shop replaced the caliper and pads saying that it must have been a bad caliper but new one already to hot to touch after only 50 miles. their \must be a pressure problem as the driver side is cool to the touch and passenger side you can feel the heat at hood level. the truck was made 2-13 dearborn plant. i have noticed a excessive wear on this side of the vehicle since i have owner it. bought it new. problem occurred on the highway
