On average, the 2012 Ford F-150 starts to “feel” problems with the VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL and its various aspects after 42 712 miles.

Components Affected by VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL Issues

We have classified the 150 complaints from 2012 Ford F-150 about VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL into the following categories.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL 1

Recently reported VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL problems on 2012 Ford F-150

Engine accelerates by itself when i turn it on or if i'm at a red light or as soon as i put it in drive

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. while driving 75 mph in fog, the contact attempted to pass a tractor trailer. the vehicle hesitated, failed to accelerate, and decelerated to 60 mph. in addition, the check engine warning indicator illuminated, the rpms fluctuated between 2000-4000, and the gear shifted from fourth to sixth gear. the local dealer and manufacturer were not contacted. the failure mileage was 51,000.

I was driving along rt. 837 highway on my way to work, going about 45 mph, when all of a sudden all of the gauges on my dash went blank and my speedometer went to zero. then a big orange wrench appeared on my dash. the truck dropped into first gear and i had very little power. i was able to turn my hazard lights on and pull over to the side of the road without being rear ended. i ended up making it to work, which was about 3 minutes away, in first gear. after shutting off the ignition and restarting the engine all of the gauges were working again. i made it home fine that day and an advanced auto scan of the vehicle brought up no codes. two days later i had the same problem occur on rt. 30 highway and i had a scan tool i had bought with me. i got 2 codes, (p0720, p0722) both relating to the output shaft speed sensor circuit.

My transmission sticks in one gear, shifts very hard, and down shifts unexpectedly. there is a recall for this, but ford has not started to fix this problem. it is causing additional damage to my vehicle the more i drive it. the recall was started in febuary of 2019.

Takata recall- i just got my 2012 f150 and i really like the truck but everytime i drive it and im slowing down it all suddently shifts down real hard , i try to avoid it to shift down so hard but nothing works. it really doesnt feel safe at all driving it and this happens everytime i drive it.i just want to get that recall problem fixed as soon as possible

I purchased my vehicle used from a ford dealership in 2017. i brought it in a few months after i purchased it due to rear tires locking up and a sudden downshift. was told no codes were found wrong and they couldn't duplicate the issue. april 30, 2019 had to have it towed back in. was informed of a recall on lead mane frame for first time. after replacing lead frame vehicle still will not preform properly and i have now been told entire transmission needs to be replaced. i haven't received any letter nor made aware at time of purchase of any recall. ford continues to refuse any remedies to justify this problem. i'm a single mother of 3 and am outraged by the companies failure to notify me of this safety recall. the company refuses to help because my mileage is 152,000 miles. 2,000 over the extended warranty for recall. if i would have been notified in a timely manner of this faulty transmission and possibly deadly recall i would have immediately tended to it. my children are my world and ford cares less about their safety and mine and it is wrong. please help me and my babies.

Vehicle in forward motion at low and highway speeds. transmission shifts unexpectedly! low gear-high gear-4wd-park!!! especially dangerous on highway. need to have repaired to ba able to drive safely.

Truck currently has a recall on it due to it going into first gear unexpectedly. took truck to closest dealership two weeks ago and had the recall service completed. was told to expect my check engine light to be on for three or four days. when it stayed on a week i called them back to discuss the light still being on. rescheduled a follow up appointment for april 12. on april 5 and april 7 the truck had the same problem that the recall was supposed to fix. going approx 50mph when the truck went into first gear with wheel hop and some fish tailing. when this problem occurs the instrument panel will basically go to all zero's and it takes the truck being turned off for the computer to reset and allow truck to drive normally. just wanted to document here since truck goes back to dealership tomorrow.

For over 2 years now an issue with the driver tran module has been causing my truck to go from any gear into first, locking tires up and causing issues while driving at any speed. ** safety recall was made on driver tran module **. however, my truck is now in worse condition without a fix to the issue, but my truck is now shutting the entire computer module down and i have further transmission issues.

Driving vehicle at approx 65mph, engine lost power, engine wrench light, illuminated, oil pressure light illuminated, engine shifted to 'limp mode'. no acceleration. pulled over to the side of the highway. waited 2 minutes and restarted the engine. was able to get home. took to certified ford dealership for repair. issue occurred twice more while driving to the dealership for repair. needed to replace the throttle body.

My vehicle was serviced for recall 19s07 regarding unexpected downshifting in to first gear while driving. after my vehicle was serviced, my truck began downshifting in to first gear while driving. a new recall 19s19 was issued for improper/insufficient repair of original recall 19s07, however my vehicle's vin is not yet showing up under this new recall, but my vehicle is still downshifting in to first gear while driving

On hwy 65mph accelerating speedometer reading went to zero, transmission auto downshift. had to pull over restart and then both the speedometer and transmission worked. after this several starts the speedometer doesn't work and transmission won't shift out of 1st gear

Had recall preformed it still is dropping into 1st gear while driving complaint number: 11181584

On the evening of 2/14/19 while returning home from the car wash, my 2012 ford f-150 suddenly downshifted into 1st gear from 6th gear while the vehicle was in motion. there was no loss of control as the road was dry and my speed was 40 mph. the next morning i called the service department at jack demmer ford in wayne mi to speak with my service rep. he did not pick up and did not return my call despite my leaving a detailed message and calling again later in the day. on the morning of 2/19/19 while on the freeway at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle went into what i assume is "limp mode". it dropped from 6th to 5th gear and a wrench logo appeared in the message screen. there was no description of the problem, just a logo. when i got off the freeway, i realized that i no longer had 1st, 2nd, or 6th gear. i arrived at work and called the dealer immediately. they gave me a runaround about how an official fix was not available yet and asked me if i had tried turning the car off and back on again. after insisting repeatedly that something be done, i was told i could bring the truck in the have the power train module "reprogrammed". this was done at no cost but i was told this was all they could do for me at this time. the next day in the evening, the truck downshifted to second gear while i was on the freeway doing 55 miles an hour. the road was wet and starting to freeze. i nearly lost control of the vehicle but was able to regain control. the truck returned to normal after this. as of 2/20/19, no further contact has been made with ford regarding the issue. i will be calling tomorrow to customer care about this issue and demanding a rental car until the vehicle is safe to drive. it is my understanding that this is related to recall 19s07. the transmission output speed sensor is reported to be losing communication with the powertrain control module, causing a downshift.

While driving on busy expressway in rush hour traffic, my truck suddenly shifted into neutral and i lost all information on dash (speedometer, miles until empty, etc). luckily i was able to pull over and no one was hurt. had to have vehicle towed. i was told that my trasmission has code p0722, apparently a common issue with the molded lead frame. i was also told that my vin was not covered under a recall and that i would have to pay out of pocket. very disappointed with ford's quality of product and customer service for a known issue. this truck has less than 56,000 miles on it and i am still making monthly payments.

Immediately following an oil change, my truck began making insanely loud grinding noises. i attempted to drive from knoxville to chattanooga and barely made it to cleveland. my truck stalled, started back up and i coasted into a parking lot. it would not go over 50. i then found a massive puddle of oil underneath where i parked. the truck was taken to jiffy lube.

Tl* the contact's father owns a 2012 ford f-150. while the contact's father was driving unknown speeds up a hill or bridge, the vehicle felt as if it were dragging. there were no warning indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the output shaft speed sensor needed to be replaced and there was no signal. the vehicle was taken to the local dealer (charlotte county ford, 3156 tamiami trail, port charlotte, fl 33952, (888) 699-4370) where it was diagnosed that the output speed sensor was not distributing a signal and needed to be repaired. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000. the vin was not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. while operating the vehicle, the engine rpms suddenly revved to 4,500 and the vehicle accelerated on its own. the contact indicated that when the failure occurred, the brake pedal was depressed, the transmission shifted into park, and the engine was turned off to prevent the vehicle from accelerating. the vehicle was taken to the local dealer (baierl ford, 540 s. main st., zelienople, pa), but the failure could not be duplicated. the manufacturer was also notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 63,000. *tt*jb *tr

Recall on 2011-2012 f150 lead fram harness failure my truck falls into the required date but ford says my vin # isn't in there data base under the recall

2012 f150 down shifted into first gear going 55 on the freeway towing a trailer. there was a recall for 2011 & 2012 f150. ford says mine doesn't? according to a report i have my truck was manufactured in the months of the recall? safety issue!!!!! scary ford needs to recall all 2011 & 2012 not pick & choose some trucks i payed $1,100 to fix lots of complaints on the internet for this problem!!!! i would like to get reimbursed

Takata recall my truck keeps downshifting and locking up my back wheels on the highway. i just almost had a wreck and this is getting ridiculous.

Around the beginning of july this year as i was driving around my speedometer and digital gauges on my 2012 ford f-150 quit working and the truck began shifting very hard. i was able to pull over and restart the engine, and upon doing so it began normal operation. over the course of the next couple weeks it did this same thing approximately four (4) more times. the last time was the most serious as i was driving down the highway about 65mph when my truck suddenly dropped into first gear and almost forced me off the road along with my two (2) year old daughter who was riding with me. i was able to maintain control and guide the truck off the roadway. however, this time upon restart the truck, while parked, was continuously revving at about 6,000rpm's. upon a second restart it went back to normal operation. i called my local ford dealership, cavalier ford chesapeake square, and spoke with lindsay givens who told me it would be a "hot minute" before someone could look at my truck. i dropped it off after hours that night (07/20/18) with a written description of the problems. i was later contacted on 07/24/18, by phil causey, saying they were going to take a look at my truck the following day. i never heard anymore and upon calling the dealership on 07/27/18, and speaking to tanya howard, i was advised my truck still hadn't been looked at and phil was off until the following week. on 07/31/18 i received a call from phil and he stated that while they were driving my truck around it got stuck in first gear on them as well, and they located the problem in the leadframe of my transmission. the diagnostics shows my truck read codes p0722 and p072. this recall https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2016/04/27/ford-motor-company-issues-three-safety-recalls-and-two-safety-co.html covers this exact problem on my vehicle, however ford will not honor it.

My 2012 ford f-150 is having serious safety issues that are addressed in for tsb's and safety recalls. upon contacting ford motor company, i was informed that my vehicle did not have the specific vin number that matched with their cases. my vehicle fits the recall descriptions with make, model, year, and even manufacturing location and has the exact issues that these recalls are about. the first recall is ford recall 16s19 : unexpected transmission downshift this will cause my vehicle to randomly downshift multiple gears. when it shifts down it also causes the rear tires are lock up and i have lost control momentarily trying to drive at highway speeds. this also causes wear and tear on the drivetrain. shifting the motor from 5th gear to 1st immediately sends the motor into a dangerous rpm range causing damage. the second recall is ford tsb 13-6-8: this causes me to lose all indication on my gauges except for rpm' s. i lose indication on my current speed randomly and also on all of my critical engine temperatures and pressures. this also locks the transmission into 5th gear, making it difficult to slow down properly and accelerate from a stop or slow speed. these two issues combine makes the vehicle a danger to drive. i do not feel safe anymore taking this vehicle anywhere and cannot trust it. i have contacted ford motor company both locally and at its headquarters. their reply is that they have to fix it. i was told to contact the nhtsa for further help from a friend who encountered similar issues with ford motor company. thank you for your help.

The vehicle will lose speed sensing and then the transmission shifts gears or is erratic and jumps back and forth between gears. worst case i was approximately doing 40 mph, speedometer went to 0 the truck shifted from 4th gear to 1st gear. usually the erratic behavior is at lower speed and lower gears, but is gradually getting worse.

We have a ford f-150 and it is losing power as you travel down the road. we have to pull over and turn the truck off and restart it. we have had it in the shop at least twice with no success in finding the problem. we have had sensors replaced and the intercooler drained twice. this is dangerous because as your traveling it will loose power and it's hard to get off the road sometimes and could cause an accident. we don't know what to do at this point.

Very little to no brakes at all. of course the same issue everyone else is having. vacuum pump/ brake booster! definitely a safety issue and how they haven't fixed this issue yet is beyond me. no actually i do know since i'm a ford employee myself, but i'll save that for a representative. remember 'quality is job one!' The vehicle would downshift into 1st gear without warning, has occurred when vehicle was traveling approximately 35 mph. the vehicle would also remain in 1st gear after these incidents and intermittently when leaving from a stop, at an intersection. vehicle has done this several times, in which case the dashboard displayed an illuminated malfunction indicator light and gone into limp mode, with only 5th gear available, while in an intersection. this problem would also cause the odometer to read '-------.--' and the speedometer to read '0 mph', even when the vehicle is in motion, travelling at any speed. vehicle is in otherwise perfect operating conditions. diagnostic trouble code p0720 was displayed during these incidents. the manufacturer has customer satisfaction program 16n02 for 'certain' vehicles, in which the dealers are replace the molded lead frame within the transmission. in the case of my vehicle, this program did not apply to my vehicle, while at the same time, the molded lead frame within the transmission was determined to be the source of the issue and subsequently replaced. with my vehicle not applying for the noted customer satisfaction program, with the same faulty part as noted within the specific customer satisfaction program, it is my opinion that the affected vehicles with deficient molded lead frames is far greater than what was initially thought and therefore, the recall program should be extended to all f-150s and similar vehicles within the specified build dates, as noted within the customer satisfaction program. the molded lead frame failure should be considered a manufacturing defect and causes serious safety concerns for the drivers of those vehicles and to the travelling public.

This problem happens at all speeds but most recently while on the highway doing 70 mph my truck went into first gear and locked up my truck rear end. i slid onto the berm of the road and almost down a hill. the dreaded wrench light came on, the speedometer went inoperable, the airbag light came on and the truck went into sort of a limp mode and drove real weird. the code was a p0720 output shaft speed sensor. of course my vin was not included in the recall even though it is a 2012, built in dearborn with the same transmission as the recalled ones, go figure! i have an appointment with sharpnack ford in willard ohio the day after tomorrow with the truck where i will pay $1000 to get the lead body in the transmission replaced. this is totally ridiculous that all vin's for 2012 are not covered. i own three fords and i am starting to wonder why!

2012 ford f150 - transmission lead frame the ford dealership (bolton in lake charles, la) is replacing the transmission lead frame in my truck. the vehicle, driving linearly at 35 mph, locked into 3rd gear and went into safe operating mode with almost no acceleration. the speedometer stopped working and a wrench light fault code appeared on the screen. the vehicle would not go into first or second gear or regain acceleration, even when stationary, park, or after restarting. the vehicle is an early 2012 production pickup from the dearborn, michigan plant, matching the recall criteria for nhtsa (16v-248) and ford (16s19) but the vin does not appear in reference to the recall for the transmission lead frame. the dealer refused to honor any warranty for this recalled defective part. the vehicle is dealer stock / unmodified and presently has 71,000 miles.

When i start the truck i have to let it idle and warm up for about five minutes. if i do not let the truck warm-up and i put it in gear the brake pedal is very firm and the truck will not stop. the brake pedal pulses like the abs system is kicking on but the truck will not stop. recently, the truck will not stop if cruise control is turned on. if cruise control is on and i push the brake pedal the brake pedal is very firm and cruise control will not turn off and the truck will not slow down. i have to manually turn off cruise control from the steering wheel and then the brakes will work again. i was driving down interstate 44 in oklahoma when i tried to hit the brakes and the truck did not stop. before i left on the road trip i let the truck warm-up so that the brakes would work when i first left the driveway.

While driving at highway speed, truck losses power and goes into limp mode. wrench icon comes on, as well as airbag light, and speedometer stops working. it appears to be stuck in whatever gear it is in at the time. also, when starting out, truck gets stuck in 1st gear, and tries to accelerate even when not pressing gas pedal. i never had an issue until i took it in for a recall on the transmission.

There have been multiple instances while driving in which the truck seems to lose power and shifts to a lower gear. the speedometer and odometer do not display when this happens. on some occasions the wrench has shown. one one occasion while accelerating to enter a highway the gear shifted down and the tires squealed and the truck dramatically slowed down. some occasions when this has happened the shifting between gears is extremely rough. these occasions have happened while in motion, on city streets, on highways, and entering or exiting highways.

I previously submitted a complaint, but happened to notice that i had a typo on my vin. i have had multiple experiences with the issue outlined in ford recall 16s19. nhtsa case 16v248. i have had the transmission shift gears unexpectedly at low speed while accelerating from a stop. more recently, i have had it down shift at higher speeds(approx 50-70mph). when cruise control is on, it cancels it out automatically. i have had on time when the mil wrench appeared briefly and all numbers on the center screen went to dashes until a restart of the engine. i have spoke to dealers and ford customer service, and looked on the nhtsa site and all have told me that my vin is not included in the recall. the recall states the affected dates are february 11,2011 to september 8, 2012 at the dearborn plant. my truck was built on august 2, 2012 at dearborn. i have yet to receive an answer from anyone as to why my truck is not included when it meets the deadline by over a month.

The speedometer screen goes black and then the vehicle will drop unexpectedly into first gear while in motion, usually on a highway.

My vehicle is experiencing all of the issues as stated in safety recall 16s19 (unintended downshift resulting in locking up of rear tires as well as intermittent limp mode and tachometer spikes and drops while driving on a city street). i took it to a ford dealer and they indicated that my vehicle was outside of the 'build date' by a total of 9 days and they refused to address the issue per the safety recall.

Vehicle is experiencing the issues described in ford's april 27th, 2016 recall announcement of bad transmission software and/or hardware. my vehicle is said to be outside of the dates that was affected. while driving the vehicle at speeds of around 25 mph (multiple times) the speedometer becomes erratic and drops to zero mph. throttle is held steady. the transmission bounces between gears and then goes into first gear at which point the vehicle slows abruptly and the rear tires squeal. i have not driven the vehicle at higher speeds to see if the issue occurs there as well. video of this happening on my 2012 f-150 available here: https://youtu.be/p5zxvesusuc

The truck will automatically downshift by itself while driving. it is experiencing the exact same issue that is a part of recall 16v248000 but our specific vin isn't a part of it at this time. it is not safe to drive as at any speed above 45 it downshifts.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. while driving in reverse at 3 mph, the contact's husband depressed the brake pedal and the pedal traveled to the floorboard. the vehicle failed to slow down or stop. as a result, the driver struck a pole. the driver shifted the vehicle into drive and the vehicle independently accelerated as the brake pedal was depressed completely to the floor. the driver then shifted the vehicle into park and was able to stop the vehicle. the air bags did not deploy. no injuries were sustained. a police report was not filed. the vehicle was driven to the contact's home. on the way to the contact's home, the brake pedal became fully depressed again. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. the approximate failure mileage was 52,000.

2012 ford f-150. multiple occurrences...vehicle in motion and the vehicle downshifts to 1 gear on its on. it sticks for 10-20 seconds before it releases and then you can accelerate again.

While driving under normal conditions transmission will suddenly and randomly lock in 3rd or 5th gear and will not down or up shift. difficult to get moving from a complete stop from 5th gear. speedo does not work when this event occurs sometimes able to stop, place transmission in park and restart to reset the system for a short period. this does not always work though. wrench icon illuminates on the info center, speedo and trip meters show blank lines as well. i have pics and a video clip but unable to share at the moment.

My transmission intermittently shifts from high gears to low gears and vise versa. this occurs both when accelerating and when in high speeds. it appears to be a lead frame issue according to the dealership in el centro, ca. it is quite dangerous and scary when my child is in the car. i found 16n02 extended warranty and recall #16s19, but they do not cover my vehicle. they should!

In warm weather the truck suddenly shakes and downshifts to first gear no matter what speed you are going. the speedometer stops working, a wrench is displayed on dash sometimes. the speed after doing this does not exceed 20-25 mph. if we can safely get to the shoulder of the road and turn truck off and restart it everything resets. this happens atleast once daily, sometimes more than once daily. it always happens when truck is in motion. it does not matter what speed as it has happens at different speeds and on one occasion when i was in the process of stopping for a red light. the last occurrence happened today, but it has been happening for several months. when it is cold outside it does happen less, maybe once weekly instead of multiple times daily when the weather is warm outside.

Transmission downshifts down to 1st gear locking rear wheels and causing vehicle to go into a skid and loss of control. vehicle was traveling 70 mph on interstate when this happened and was captured on video as to how the gauges responded.

When i an pushing the gas pedal to go, the whole truck vibrates at random intervals and lasts for about 15 seconds at intervals every 1 to 2 minutes. this happens at all speeds and is getting worse everyday. les schwab checked the tires, brakes, rotors, axles, bearing and u-joints and everything is good. it feels almost like you are driving on a rumble strip but more harsh. the severity of the vibration is worse while driving up hills and it is getting worse by the day. *tr

The truck suddenly decelerated and a warning light came on. the first time i was on a residential street and went from 25 to 2 mph w/o any other traffic. the second time it was on a state highway and we went from 45 to 2 mph with traffic behind us. the dealer said the throttle body needed to be replaced because of a bad sensor. this is apparently a known issue on 2015/2016 model years, but not on 2012's. the dealer said it is the same problem and ford has recalled newer trucks because of it.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle lost power. the contact stated that the mileage gauge went from 70 to 50 to 40, and the rpms increased to 4,000. the rpms then rapidly dropped down to 1,500. the vehicle was driven to a mechanic. the vehicle was diagnosed as a "p-1500". the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the approximate failure mileage was 77,000.

Hello, i have a 2012 ford pickup truck with automatic transmission, multiple times as i was driving on the road the truck would downshift and lose power, the dashboard would read that i'm driving in 5th gear but the truck was only going about 5miles per hour. i would pull over and turn vehicle off for a few minutes and restart again, sometimes it would work, i took it to a ford dealership for repairs and they informed me that a recall for the same symptoms were done to other trucks like mine, but the vin # was not coming up as being one of the infected ones, the repairs were very expensive and i kept the receipt just incase it comes up later, so far no luck according to ford.the dealership said they would reimburse me if it does , but to let someone know they did change the exact parts on the recall. well its been awhile since this took place. the truck has 135,000 miles on it and still runs good after the repair at alot less miles at the time. i can send the receipt if you need it or the dealership can help if you need more information, miller motors in burlington wi.

My f150 is constantly experiencing the exact dangerous malfunction that safety recall 16s19 describes. ford is not providing any rental assistance and currently does not know when a solution will be available. my transmission will have issues shifting to the next gear, rev up way farther than necessary to shift and then stall. i have to turn off my truck and turn it back on several times to get rid of the issue just to get me to my destination. this occurs on 50% of my drives around the city. i will not dare take it further than 10 miles in fear that i might be stranded and forced to pay for towing. ford has also told me i must prove something is wrong with my vehicle to even apply for a rental. my local ford service is not able to find anything wrong besides the exact issue i'm describing. it's a pandora's box, built to put the consumer in the worst position risking injury or death driving a faulty vehicle or paying the bill for a rental.

20,484 miles on truck. 10/18/15 rpm's increase but doesnt shift into next gear. 10/19/15 roadside assistance towed to dealer. dealer found no code, sent back to me. 11/17&11/22 driver seat lost memory. 11/28/15 rpm reved when brake was applied rpm's were still increasing. 12/2 brought to dealer no code on diagnosis, sent out again without troubleshooting 20,900 miles on truck. 12/8/15 rpm's reved didnt go into gear. 12/8/15 1hr after prior failure, tried to leave driveway and 2 attempts to engage drive it wouldnt move put truck in reverse then proceeded to put in drive, stuck in 1st gear for 2 blks. 12/10/15 my 5yr old granddaughter and i drove 4 blocks before truck shifted to 2nd gear. 12/11/15 truck did not seem to be running right heard a clunk upon leaving prk lot got across 4 lanes of traffic and truck failed to shift, wrench on dashed showed and went away, dash info had lines across instead of mpg and air bag light stayed on, dealer was on my way, this time code showed and was the torque converter. i ended up driving this vehicle 500 miles iwith the torque converter failing here and there until a code showed. this caused a very dangerous condition to all on the road and much unneeded stress. i am very concerned what other components have premature wear due to continuing to drive my truck in this condition. i purchased an extended vsc from dealer but unsure what it covers so ford will not offer extended warrenty, only offering oil changes. i do not want anyone to go through this same dangerous situation. please act on this before deaths start occuring. after reading up on the torque converter, the symtoms my truck experienced were exact along with the truck increasing rpm's although brake was applied. instinct is you dont continue driving a vechile that doesnt shift even due to likelyhood of other components failing and dangerous conditions in traffic.

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford f-150. while attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle failed to accelerate and then accelerated unexpectedly. the failure occurred on over ten occasions. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure was unable to be duplicated. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 35,000. the vin was not available.
