We have classified the 3 complaints from 2010 Ford F-150 about EQUIPMENT into the following categories.
I live in conn. and as you know, we have the best corrosive road salt- so, in the past year, i, personally have found in the middle of the street full tires- all sizes with rims. so, as a past mechanic i have figured it out to be the spare tires underneath trucks, and suvs that are held by a cable and are located in the rear so when they rust and fall off the car they do not realize or feel it coming off the vehicle, which could cause a crash to avoid

Wiring harness on 2010 ford f-150 4x4 burns up at fuse box. original harness was replaced by dealer in 2013. second harness burnt up at fuse box after 16 months. waiting for new harness at present time. it is the fuel pump connection that is burning up in the box by the fuse. when the harness burns through, the vehicle automatically stops, even while in motion. this constitutes a safety hazard as no notice occurs before burn up. no warning lights appear on dash to warn of this. nothing has been done to correct the failure, other than replacing the wire harness that is burning up. they have done nothing to correct the reason for the burn up. all that has been done is replacement of the part that is damaged.. have been waiting for over a month for parts. other vehicles at the dealership are also experiencing this same issue.
I keep having problems with my 2004 ford f150 fxr window regulators. the drivers side window will just drop to the bottom of the door panel for no apparent reason. this time i was on the interstate and when i attempted to roll the window up there was a "pop" and the window fell down> it startled me causing me to swerve and nearly hit a vehicle next to me. *tr
I own a 2010 ford f-150 xlt supercrew, the 2nd row seating does not lock in the seating position. i have taken the vehicle to south bay ford in ca. the service department looked and could not find anything wrong but i feel this is a safety item that should be addressed asap, since the seat does not lock in the seating position that means in an accident the seat is free to move which means passengers will not be secured properly! i understand use of seat belts are paramount in accidents but if the seat has a stationary position in the seating position passengers would be much safer...please look into this before people get killed in this vehicle. *tr
2010 f150 twin cab has a plastic tray in the front seat middle bottom section that has very sharpy flash that caused my wife to cut/peel of her skin from her back ankle while wearing her sandals. *tr
Aggressive braking system on 2010 f150 4 x 4. ford deems this to be a normal characteristic with this vehicle but according to their ssm 21458 it states that only some f150 are affected. it also states in the ssm that it can get worst before it gets better. when braking it feels like you hit the front brakes on a bike. i had two dealers look at this problem but with this ssm it states that they can not perform any service. yet when talking to a srvc tech they agree the brakes are not what they are use to. leaving and opinion that they to agree with the customer. in my opinion ford realizes that there is a problem why else put out an ssm there must of been previous complaints on this issue in order for ford to acknowledge this.i can send you a copy of this ssm if needed. please supply your address. this issue started when i picked up the vehicle. my other concern is, if my brakes are part of the some that is normal what about the other some??
