Tl* the contact owns a 2012 ford exploder. the contact stated that the third-row power seat detection system failed to operate properly. the contact indicated that while putting bags in the hatch area, the third- row power seat button was accidently depressed and caused the seat to mechanically rise to the seated position. the contact indicated that during the transition from the folded position to the seated position, a coat and boot became stuck under the seat. the contact indicated that the third- row power seat detection system did not reverse the direction of the seat after making contact with the objects. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 40,000.
