Vehicle was put in park. after about 15 minutes the vehicle rolled into a home while still in park.

On today's date, april 9, 2019 at approximately 4:20pm cdt, i was entering freeway accelerating to 40 mph when power was lost and quickly decelerated to under 5mph. engine still running, but it went into 'limp home' mode, no faster than 5mph. was able to get to distress lane. wrench symbol displayed on instrument cluster. turned off engine and checked owners manual...symbol indicated power train trouble. turned on started ok, and continued to freeway speed. about 1 mile later, lost power again, slowing to 'limp' mode. this time check engine and wrench lights came on and engine noticeably rough running. turned off/on started ok, exited freeway and drove city streets home, about 3 miles. check engine light never went off. wrench light did go off after 2nd re-start. manual recommends having ford dealer check it out. that's what i'll be doing tomorrow. this spontaneous loss of power has risk of causing a crash from other driver's as sudden decelerations without brake light warning is very dangerous.

Transmission will suddenly downshift to lower gear, first time 6th gear to 3rd gear, second time last week went from 3rd to 1st, luckily was driving slow in construction zone by our house.

Engine stalls out at freeway speeds and produces a p2112 code throttle body stuck closed. engine cuts out completely. has happened five times. mileage 55234 only. engine restarts normally until next incident. car produced at louisville kentucky truck plant which produced the defective electronic throttle bodies included in the ford recall campaign 16b32.

While traveling in the passing (3rd) left lane on interstate highway with speeds of 65 to 70 mph, the vehical totally loss power, motor still running but just at an uneven poor idle, still in gear, i attempted to accelerate, it did absolutely nothing yet the motor was still at the poor idle. on the dash comupter a wrench appeared with "see manual" along with a small check engine light above that. i was forced to get out of that dangerous situation with no power, coasting through 3 lanes with my wife waving out the passenger window to let my powerless car drift over. once off the highway, the motor was still poorly idling, giving it gas did nothing, still just a rough idle. i shut the car off and restarted it and miraculously i once again had control of the accelerator. i was still 3 hours from home with all highway driving ahead of me, which i did doing 55mph in the slow lane & ready to turn off road. i bought a new vehicle as to not have problems, let alone the most dangerous episode of our lives. what really is unacceptable is that i just had a 70k mile checkup at a local ford dealer where i was told they reccomend changing my transfer case oil along with an oil change & tire rotation. i was given a clean bill of health for a road trip. i refuse to pay anything for a flaw in their design, especially being a dangerous safety issue.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ford expedition. while the vehicle was parked, the gear shifted into neutral and the vehicle reversed out of the parking lot and down a hill. the contact stated that the vehicle came to a stop once it struck a building. there were no warning indicators illuminated. there were no injuries and a police report was filed. the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 104,096. *tt

While driving at 50 mph sudden power loss. speed went from 50 mph to 2 mph. vehicle drifted to a stop despite pressing gas. after waiting by the side of the road was able to get vehicle moving at approx. 4 mph. friend responding suggested turning engine off and on again. that worked, power restored and able to get home. dealer replaced electronic throttle body that had malfunctioned.

In the past week, on 2 separate occasions, my 2015 ford expedition has stalled while driving. first instance, while driving approx. 45mph on small country road and accelerating, vehicle stalled and came to a rolling stop, with service indicator light and "see manual" illuminated on dashboard. once stopped and shifted into park, vehicle started and drove again normally. second instance (approx. 2 days later), while entering interstate from on ramp, approx. 45mph and accelerating, vehicle stalled. luckily, we were able to steer the vehicle to the shoulder prior to coming to complete stop. once shifted into park, vehicle started and drove again normally. ford service told us the problem is with the throttle body, and will cost nearly $700 to replace. i've done some online research over the past 24 hours, the throttle body seems to be one of, if not the most common complaints by 2015 expedition owners. if this happened during rush hour on a major interstate, people could get killed. please investigate.

Defective electronic throttle body control systems that cause the vehicles to suddenly and dangerously lose power. while traveling 70mph on highway, my vehicle suddenly lost power, (orange wrench light appeared on dash).

I was driving down a steep grade and all of a sudden the vehicle started to jerk and shake, the wrench symbol popped up as well as a warning see owners manual. as i safely got off the road i had waited for cars to pass by before i tried to re emerge onto the road and there was no response to a full press of the gas pedal and the vehicle would only go approx. 1 mile hr. i turned the car off and was about to call a tow truck and i decided to turn the vehicle back on and i put it in drive and it let me drive with no issues. after my incident i went home to google the symptoms it appeared to be a common problem with ford vehicles. how ever under the customer satisfaction program my vehicle was not listed but yet has the same issues. i would like to start an investigation in this matter as same other consumers might not be as skillfully of a driver as myself and possibly cause injury or death over this issue.

While driving at highway speeds (70 mph), went to pass traffic, truck downshifted, service transmission light came on and truck lost all power. transmission was stuck in 4th gear and engine would not rev above idle. pulled over and shut off truck. restarted and everything was normal. a few days later same thing happened again, this time was on a city street (20mph) and trans was stuck in 3rd gear.

2015 ford expedition el limited noted to have whistling/whining noise with acceleration. evaluated by a ford dealer. found to have defective seal on rear axle with loss of lubricating fluid and damage to the differential. this was near miss; no accident/injury occurred. given that this part failed on a brand new vehicle (less than one month old) and dealer is unable to repair the vehicle for 3-6 weeks due to unavailability of replacement parts, i am concerned that ford knows that there is a problem with this part but has chosen not to share that information.
