Spark plug launched out of aluminum cylinder head in 1999 ford expedition 5.4l eddie bauer 4x4 and is a known issue! *jp

Many ford trucks have a "water intrusion" problem leading to serious safety issues. some of their windshields are not sealed properly -in a hard rain water leaks into the fuse box causing an electrical burning, causing the vehicle to stop running instantly! ford is aware of this and is failing to address it. *jb

I have a 1999 ford expedition. the cable holding the spare tire under the car broke as i was driving down the road. the tire fell onto the road as well as the piece of metal that holds the tire in place. luckily i was driving about 25 mph. no other damage occurred to my car or any others. it was the original spare tire, i lower and raise it once in a while to check the tire pressure. *jb

An igloo cooler was plugged into the cigarette lighter. the fuse to the igloo cooler blew and melted through, blowing out all of the related fuses. (this was not the fault of the vehicle) *ak unable to see the year of this vehicle. *sc

1999 ford expedition collided head-on with another vehicle. both were travelling at highway speeds. the expedition immediately caught fire, including the passenger compartment.the fire wall failed and fuel apparently fed the fire.

There is a right side cylinder head oil leak caused by small metal chips left between the head and block during manufacture .ford knows about the problem ,says it happened to 1 in 10 1999 ford expeditions ,and other models.they have dismissed my complaint and offer no financial asisstance.repair costs 5000 dollars

Mileage lights in dashboard go on and off, dim and then get bright again.

I was slowly backing into a parking space behind the office building that i work at going approximately 4 to 5 mph (just crawling). i have been backing into the same area for over 15 years. as i lightly stepped on the gas pedal, vehicle lurched backwards hitting the building squarely causing extensive damage as it was a powerful hit. this had happened two other times when the car was driven by my husband and parents. those two separate incidents had occurred in other areas where there was ample room to react.

Engine suddenly running very rough and engine check light on. dealer investigation showed coolant leak on coil pack 4. coil pack removed and replaced and hose clamp tightened. repair was not done as a defect although many other vehicles have had the same problem. *ak

Driven for 20 minutes and let sit 20 minutes, and it hesitated and ran roughly until cooldown 3 to 4 hours, runs better. why is this happening? everytime i drive and let it sit for 20 minutes it runs like this. also, engine check light goes on and off.

Vehicle begins to vibrate at 73-75 mph. problem cannot be exactly located or corrected by dealer or manufacturer. dealer installed a vibration dampener. actual source/reason for problem was never found. *ak
