When truck has a full or even half tank , always smell a loud gas smell coming from truck. gas smell so loud can not have truck parked in garage due to fumes. also with brakes, when forced to stop immediately the brakes make a weird sound and wont lock properly.
I have had issues with a check engine light that lights up all the time on the car. it will also say "check fuel fill inlet" when i pump gas. the code reads p0455 which means the engine computer recognizes a large leak in the evaporative emission control system (evap). the vehicle's evap system is sealed, it's main purpose is to prevent gasoline vapors in the fuel tank from escaping into the atmosphere. i am not sure if one of the recalls pertains to this, but this is an ongoing problem for me. so much so, that i have stopped driving the car in fear for my safety and my family.

I received a recall notice from ford dec 2016 referencing nhtsa safety recall 16v-777. aug 2017 i still hadn't heard anything so i asked ford what was going on using ford website live chat. ebonee said parts still not available. jan 2018 got another letter saying parts now available. called dealership then and again today 4/11/18 & they said still not available. very frustrated and concerned about what might happen due to possible fuel leak. we want this fixed but no one seems to be able to help.
I received a recall on my 2011 escape in late 2016 informing me about an issue with the fuel delivery module. i took it to the dealership at the time, informing them that i had been noticing fuel smells, but they were unable to remedy the issue, or perform the recall. in january of 2018 i received another letter saying that parts are now available to repair my vehicle, but as of april, two local dealerships still say they have not received the necessary parts for the repair. the safety recall is 16s41/nhtsa recall 16v-777. based on the safety implications of this recall, it seems that ford is being very slow in delivering parts to the dealerships to make this repair.

Made an appt for recall in santa clara ca (first available appt they had was march), arrived, they said they didn't have parts (no call to cancel appt, no call to follow up as requested) and didn't have any indication of when they would get more. called another location in sunnyvale, ca, same answer. nationwide shortage, no notice of when they would have more. told they would not call when they arrived, would have to keep calling back. told to call ford. my online ford owner account has recall date of oct 2016 but i just received a notice in jan 2018.1) why am i just being notified now if this has been active for the last year and a half? 2) unacceptable for ford to be out of parts with no delivery date in the middle of a recall.

(fdm) fuel delivery module recall, i have not been notified that my vehicle may have this issue, ford needs to step up to the plate and notify consumers asap, please assist in what action i may need to take on this.
Vehicle is leaking gasoline from or near the fuel tank. the leak appears to be located near the fuel filler assembly. the leak produces strong odour of gasoline in cabin and around vehicle both when in motion and when stopped. a large wet stain under the tank was visible after the vehicle was parked on gravel for about five hours, with a strong odour of gasoline. (note on the attached photo of the fuel tank id badge, some information is cut off. on the left the second from the bottom line reads "shift 3". the bottom line reads "oct 26 2010 10:45pm")
I was driving down the highway cruising at 80mph when all of a sudden the gas pedal stopped working. the car was still running but even when i would put the gas pedal to the floor it would not give it any acceleration. a small wrench sign popped up on the dash and i pulled over to the side l. when the car was in idle the engine was very shaky and rpms were going up and down so i shut the engine off. i sat for roughly 5minutes and then tried to restart the vehicle it started no issues. put the car in drive and the gas pedal was working again no issues so continued to dinner. on the way home took 95 but was going 55-65 taking caution in case the car stops working again. to no surprise it did so i pulled over sat for 2 minutes and restarted with no issues and finished driving home.

My escape has ford recall #16s41 on it. i began to smell a strong gasoline smell around my car. i took it into my local dealership for repairs and it was diagnosed with the recall issue. even though this recall has been in place since nov/dec of 2016 there is still no part to repair it 8 months later. the dealership said they were going to replace it with a part that has the same defect/recall. i do not feel comfortable with this. there is an increased risk of fire due to fuel leak. this time i could smell gas. will i next time? what if the car had been parked in the garage where fumes could build up and something sparked and our whole house exploded. i cannot continue to put myself, my children and friends and family (including other children) in my car when i do not feel that it is safe and ford cannot certify that it is safe. they do not have a date for when the replacement part will be available and they refuse to give me a rental or loaner vehicle. they are reporting that there have been no injuries or fatalities to date due to this recall. are they waiting for that to happen before they protect consumers? are there not limits to the amount of time they have to remedy and dangerous safety recall? i also find it interesting that this recall went into effect in december of 2016 which is pretty much the exact time that all of those vehicles 5 year warranties would be expired. coincidence?
I was in the process of turnig off our street and driving a short distane up our driveway to park outside our garage when my vehicle lunged forward into the garage doing considerable damage to the contents and structure. i then backed the vehicle out of the garage to avoid further damage.since i had the distinct impression that the engine was overpowerinhg the brakes i decided to turn the ignition switch off to stop the vehicle. it was then i determined that tongue of the boat trailer had severed the filter on the vehicle engine spurting the contents of the oil sump on the driveway and the trailer was impaled in the grill of the vehicle. it was also observed that the trailer had propelled the high pressure washer stored alongside it when the trailer was pulled from the garage by the vehicle.07
