I was driving on the highway and tried to accelerate but my rpm's dropped and the car wouldnt accelerate. i hit the gas pedal a few times and it jerked and everything went back to normal. i pulled over to a gas station to get gas, left the gas station and was at a stop light. when i tried to accelerate at the stop light my rpm's revved up for a second then dropped. wouldnt accelerate, no rpm's. got into another gas station parking lot put transmission fluid in thinking that was the issue. after putting that in and the car being off, i started it back up and put it in drive. it took off like there was no issues. got across the street and pulled into another parking lot and i loss my rpm's again and no acceleration. had to call a tow cuz after that the car wouldnt go anywhere.
When idling at a stop light car will shut down and you must put the car in park and restart the engine. this is the third time this has happened over the past month. no codes of warning lights come on.
While driving on i-95 in maryland on 1/29/20 when i heard an explosion and realized my sunroof had either exploded or imploded. as i drove i could hear the glass sliding on the headliner which fortunately was closed. i was able to drive to where i was staying as i was working out of state (i live in wellington, fl) , covered my car roof with a tarp and then took it in for repairs. the day it happened the weather was sunny, not very hot and there were no objects that hit the roof of my car.
Carrier bearing drive shaft assembly causing severe vibration upon exceleration and and letting off the gas peddle also ignition issue put key in turn on cranking several times before starting unless key is turned back my escape has 70,000 miles on it i should not be having these issues.my engine light is on and vehicle vibration it has new tires, i replaced tie rods, bearings, in front all new brakes this vehicle has been a big disappointment i have put a lot of money into it and only 70,000 miles for a 2011.please help me out with this situation this is the first ford i have ever owned i am not a happy customer.
This vehicle has a recall, i bought it and i was innocent of this until i almost lost my life of fear when the car went on in smoke completely, ford i never wanted to send the appointment for the recall of the car the car is getting hot and voting an abundant smoke and you don't keep the engine oil it feels like i burn the oil i need a solution i must pay the money to the dealer and i can't drive the car to work i need help please
Transmission went at 80k miles, extended warranty doesn't cover. no warnings only warning i got was when it was took late. no way to check transmission fluid as it is a sealed transmission. it's going to cost me $6k to get it fixed.
The back window on the hatch is shattering. the window first had done size crack in it. it then was crackling and after hours the whole window is small pieces. it was just sitting in my driveway. it blew the side panel off.
Torque converter failed resulting in a replacement at 87,000 miles. this was initially misdiagnosed with a computer upgrade, however a second diagnostic test proved that the torque converter had failed and was misfiring at a higher rate than requested. the technician rode with me while i drove and the vehicle's engine would flutter at around 1500 rpms while maintaining constant speed. it would also shimmy the vehicle. it showed on the computer while i was driving that there was a misfire, the computer would request a 4 and was getting a 40 on the specs. there was no check engine light at the time of the diagnosis.
While steadily driving at 40 mph on a two-lane highway, i suddenly lost engine power and simultaneously received a warning message on the driver's display to stop vehicle safely now. i was able to drive to where road had a shoulder, but the car's speed was limited to maybe 10 mph even with the accelerator pressed. (the car is a hybrid, but had only very limited propulsive power in what seemed to be an electric mode.) the gas engine did not kick in even when the accelerator was pressed. after unsuccessfully trying to troubleshoot the problem using the owner's manual, i pressed the start/stop button to turn off the car, then pressed it again to restart. the gas engine started, i regained the ability to accelerate, and the car appeared to function normally. subsequently, the car was towed to two dealerships to diagnose the problem. the manufacturer has been contacted and the problem has been "escalated" as efforts continue to further diagnose and then correct the problem. at the time of the incident, the car's heater was on, as were the daytime running lights. the radio was probably on. the navigation ...
