Takata recall the first recall notice from ford motor company came to me in july 2016. safety recall notice 16s26 / nhtsa recall 16v-384. the letter promised ford motor company (fmc) would send a letter when replacement parts for the defective airbag would be available to fix the problem at my local dealer. since that time i have received 4 more safety recall letters, dated december 2017, june 2018, october 2018 all with the same recall numbers. the most recent letter of march 2019 is for the same thing, but with new numbers, safety recall notice 19s01 / nhsta recal 19v-001. upon getting the october notice, i called my local ford dealer, and their representative said he would order the parts and call me when they arrive to make an appointment for replacement. then with the march 2019 letter, i called the dealer again. this time the representative informed me that he would have to order the parts, and it would be up to 5 weeks before the new airbag comes in. he also said that fmc is sending them only 2 per week. note: the answer to when did this happen is the date of the first notice i got from fmc. at two and one half years, i believe fmc has had more than enough time to source safe airbag to replace these defective ones. please exert all the influence you have available to your agency to expedite the replacement of these airbags. thank you.

Takata recall ford issued a recall, 16s26, in july 2016 for 2010 ford edge passenger frontal airbags in "zone a". it is now february 15, 2017, and still no parts available to repair/replace the defective airbags (i just got off the phone with the dealership). nor could the dealership even provide an estimate of when repair/replacement might occur. evidently, ford does not yet have enough of a compelling reason to expedite the recall procedures or to provide alternatives for the recalled vehicle owners (my wife owns a 2011 honda cr-v that had a similar airbag recall and she was provided with a free rental vehicle while the dealership waited for airbag repair/replacement kits). ford has flatly stated that no alternate vehicles will be provided. perhaps the nhtsa needs to provide ford with one or more compelling reasons, such as mandatory provision of free rental cars and/or escalating fines, to expedite ford's airbag recall program. ironically, my family no longer states "i call shotgun" for seating assignment in the front passenger seat of my ford edge; they now state "i call suicide". is this to be mr. rosekind's legacy?
Takata recall i received a letter from ford motor company in jul 2016 regarding thetakata air in my vehicle was defective. since that date, i have tried many times to find out when the replacement air bags will be available at my ford dealer. it is now dec 2017 & ford dealer keeps telling me they have not received replacement air bags. when will this be resolved? meantime i am riding in an unsafe vehicle.

Takata recall: ford has no remedy/action for the replacement of our recalled takata passenger side airbag. our dealer, star ford in glendale, ca, has no answer. i have great anxiety over driving a car with the potential to kill myself or my passenger. the nhtsa should be forcing ford to provide a remedy for car owners. we need to be protected from this massive fraud and abuse. takata has now been convicted of multiple crimes, the customers of ford are in danger and we are not receiving action. this is a considerable hardship to myself and i want ford to take action - replace airbag immediately.
Takata inflators: i received a recall notice in july 2016. it basically said, "don't call us - we'll call you!" this summer, i e-mailed and left phone mesages at my dealer, harrold ford. i never received a response. this week, i received a legal notice in the mail re: tk holdings inc., et al chapter 11 case. i have been driving around in a vehicle that could kill my passenger with no repair, compensation, or even an apology from ford. how can i make sure that my car is repaired and safe to drive?
No accident involved. i received a "airbag recall letter" from ford july, 2016 and called gene messer, lubbock, tx. the respondent said they would get back to me when they had the replacement parts. the phone call has never come. so what am i to do? a salesman at the dealership recently told my brother that they have used cars they cannot sell because takata is bankrupt and replacement parts are not available. so if the dealership can't get them, what am i to do, except drive safely.

Takata recall in june 2016 ford (edge) issued a recall for airbags, no remedy has been given and it now august 2018 and no remedy nor time has been given. there is also no buy back program in place for those who no longer want the defective vehicle. however they are offering a rental in its place for those who do not feel safe driving the defective vehicle. i no longer want the vehicle but i am pretty much suck making payments on a car that i cant drive.
