Takata recall - have tried to schedule this recall several times at tom peck ford in clinton, wi. they say they will call when parts are received. we have not heard back anything for months. worried car airbags will explode.
Takata recall - it's been over a year since i was first notified of this risk and ford has not taken any action or notified me. to put this in to perspective, the us military moved tens of thousands of troops and equipment half way around the world to iraq and defeated the worlds 5th largest army in less time than ford has been working on this recall. time is up. i need a new airbag system before i get in to an accident not afterwards.
Takata recall this recall has been underway for several years. to date ford has not provided a repair for my airbag. i live in hot humid area of the country. specifically houston, tx nhtsa states hot humid areas are most dangerous for these airbags to become unstable. i am wondering why there is not available fix for this dangerous product. i cannot afford to replace my vehicle. i must drive it to earn a living. it is causing tremendous stress and anxiety on a daily basis i fear having and accident and being horribly injured or killed by the airbag.

Takata airbag recall. received notice from ford february 2018 and still have not been notified to bring car in for replacement. i called dealership and was told they have not heard when they will receive parts.
Received recall notice in february of 2018 and it is now october 25th 2018 and i still haven't had my car fixed yet. when i call (the dealership) they tell me they haven't received the part yet. this is ridiculous.
Takata recall received 1st safety recall notice on february 2018 i am still waiting to be contacted when replacement parts are available. it is now july 9, 2018. why is this taking so long? i am afraid to drive the car even though i have been driving it since 2010 until february of this year. i am just thankful i haven't had an accident which would have caused the airbags to deploy. why did it take them this long to realize there was a problem?

Takata recall: i have been trying to get my airbags replaced since the beginning of this recall. i did receive a letter to have them changed immediately but is been way over a year since i have been calling the ford places to have them replaced. they keep telling me they dont have them in stock and the place that sends them the airbags does not have them. my ford is the only vehicle i have to travel around in and have no choice to use it everyday so whats going to happen if the airbags go off? am i going to be blamed for not getting them fixed or do i have to go through the pain of someone in my family, including me, getting mammed or die for having bad airbags. lives are at stake. i need these changed. i love my ford but they need to step up and get my car in their shop to fix these. i called several ford places here in southern california and they keep telling me the same things. thank you.

Takata recall. my 2010 ford edge is on the recall list for a replacement airbag and there is no replacement available at this time. the passenger frontal airbag inflator may explode in the event of a crash. if this is a known recall and people have died as a result of this, why is it taking so long to get the replacement? an accident can happen at anytime and i don't want to be afraid to ride in my own vehicle for the fear of the airbag. if a replacement cannot be made, what can be done? takata has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Takata recall' we received the recall notice dated december 2017 notifying us that repair parts will not be available until the spring of 2018. it also stated we cannot ride in the front passenger seat. my wife and i are both disabled and cannot sit in the rear seat. we ask the local ford dealership to disconnect the airbag in order that we can ride in the front passenger seat until parts are available. they said they could not authorize this without permission from you. i would appreciate your assistance with this matter. thank you. Takata recall - passenger airbag has had a recall since january with no remedy offered/available at all since then.
Takata recall, no parts available until spring 2018 for "certain" cars, no firm date for replacement. original notification received july 2016 - no accident has occurred, my concerns is the delay in replacement parts.
Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2010 ford edge. the contact stated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 18v046000 (air bags) was received in january of 2018. the local dealer (tom wood ford, 3130 e. 96th st, indianapolis, in) was contacted and stated that the parts needed to repair the recall were not available. the manufacturer was not notified. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available.
Takata recall - ford is unwilling to provide reasonable interim solutions regarding takata airbags. i have been told to not place anyone in the passenger seat until parts are available hopefully in spring 2018. this is not acceptable as the vehicle's intended purpose is to transport multiple passengers with use of the main front passenger seat. i have asked for a loaner vehicle, compensation to obtain a rental, or an interim repair until the parts are located. i was told that none of those options are available and that i should avoid using the seat. additionally, the information provided in the recall notice is contradictory to the recall information on the ford website. the website states that per technical information, the vehicle is safe to drive until repair. the recall letter sates otherwise in that the airbag may cause harm or death if activated by a passenger in the vehicle. this places an undue burden on the consumer to assume the increased inherent risk and liability if in a position to need full capability of vehicle, ie. 5 passengers to transport in the 5 passenger enabled 2010 ford edge. i have spoken to the ford recall department and customer relationship department to no avail. i have been told that my only remaining course of action is to write to the ford executives at the generic customer service address. this will not suffice.
Takata recall. this is a complaint that ford is not fixing the issue in a timing manner. first notice of issue was july 2016 just got a notice dec 2017 that they still do not have a remedy for the situation. this should be unacceptable, i cannot use the passenger seat in my car for fear of injury.
Takata recall - it is not safe to drive with my family in my car with a defective airbag. therefore, the vehicle i purchased is not functional as advertised. ford refuses to offer a loaner vehicle. and now, i have been informed that the delay in a replacement air bag will continue into the spring of 2018. this is not ok. other manufacturers are offering loaner vehicles. ford should as well. not acceptable!!
'takata recall' the idea of ford finding a solution to this recall problem with air bag is to inform me not to have a passenger in the passenger seat is completely unacceptable. i talked to a ford employee about their suggestion for our passenger. we have a 5 passenger vehicle for 5 of us and now we have to choose what person can no longer ride in the car or are we suppose to throw one person in the back with no seat belts. this does not work for us. our twelve year old is traumatized first he was worried he would be left out, but then he is scared to get into the vehicle. this situation has left all of us upset and after talking to ford employees they don't care their only comments are to make sure i understand i am not getting a rental car for this period of time. i want to hear a better answer from you. i can't even sell my car, but i do know after being a ford family forever it is a time for a change.

Takata recall. i received a notice regarding a recall on the airbag inflators in my ford edge. i confirmed that my vehicle is included in the recall and contacted autonation ford in sanford, fl and was told i have to wait for another letter from ford in order to get air bag replaced.
I was notified 12/17 of recall 16s26/nhtsa recall 16v-384 and that the issue would be resolved by the third or fourth quarter of 2018. well here we are in the last quarter and still no relief. i was told not to use the front passenger seat but how long do i have to make my vehicle a 4 passenger vehicle? i was offered $30 a day toward a rental but a $30 rental is to small for me as i am 6`3" and is no where the quality of the edge.i am sick of this delay
Takata recall, no solution. ford does not have replacement equipment

Received recall (airbag) notice 12/017 that airbag could cause death after going off. called ford dealer in january 2018 to make appointment to have fixed . they assured part would be there within next two months. kept calling & getting reassured part would come in. went to ford dealer in may2018, complaining not able to drive car with someone in passenger seat due to recall airbag notice threatening potential death. here it is may 2018, having gone six months with no one able to ride in passenger seat, only to be told to ?wait two more months!!?! have always purchased ford in past, but have never been more angry with a dealership!! plans are to drive dad to illinois from florida in may 2018! please advise where to get recall fixes as soon as possible! dad is 89yrs old this year and needs to ride in passenger seat! recall must be fixed this week! where can i get ford edge 2010 fixed asap? vin [xxx] zip code 34223 (englewood, fl) please tell me where to go to get recall fixed before driving to illinois from florida (?) i don't want to report a death, so please tell me where to get recall (airbag) fixed!! six months of this waiting and still no action is worth never buying a ford vehicle again. ford has failed to deliver service, making it impossible to drive with passenger..upsetting and at best, bad service! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
