I just purchased this vehicle and the dealer did not disclose this recall (airbags). basically they said it's not their problem. i called ford to find out when parts would be available and ford said the parts have not been procured and there is no estimated date for a fix for my vehicle. how can ford say no parts are available with no real intention of ever obtaining them? how can a dealer sell a vehicle without disclosing a safety issue so important that there is a national recall? what is our government doing to protect citizens?
Takata recall: there is not a remedy avaliable for my vehicle's recall and i can not sell it due to the the de-valuation associated with the recall. i have also not ever received a letter regarding this recall. i believe ford is at fault and should replace my vehicle at no additional cost to me.
No one has parts to fix the recall for the airbag. i've been waiting for more than a year to have the problem fixed. my transmission shudders at 40 miles per hour and 75 miles per hour. the problem started 10 months ago and seems to be worse. i've looked online and this seems to be the major complaint with these vehicles. there should be a recall on this issue to fix the problem.

Takata recall i have been getting prior notices from ford (auto nation in scottsdale and other places) i have called several times about it and kept getting told no worries we will notify you when recall part available. this is now been going on over a year no call that part is in and being told now it is a safety issue. i drive over 140+ miles per day at least 5 days per week and sometime have passengers. being told now don't let anyone sit in the front passenger seat but drive into dealership (which is aways) they can put me into rental but i would need to drive back home with rental and my vehicle, park my vehicle at my house then drive back when part comes in? i currently have no place to store my vehicle and a rental without my hoa getting upset. they have no eta and this has been taking a long time already with very little (misleading by saying its not a safety issue and nothing about front seat passengers until now). unsure first date of notification from dealership and conversation with them as was a while ago and told not to worry about it.

Takata recall - i received a recall notice july 2016. it is october 2017, and there are still no parts for this recall, and no one is able to determine when in the world they will be in if they ever will be in. an airbag is supposed to protect you, not cause potential injury or death. we do not allow anyone to sit in this seat as we do not know if the airbag is going to work properly or not. the driver or anyone else could still be in danger if the airbag goes off. that means for 15 months that we can not use our car like we are supposed to be able to. it is ridiculous that no one can sit in the front passenger seat. the driver is constantly chauffeuring everyone around. if i go somewhere with my husband, i have to sit in the back seat. i can't sell the car because no one is going to want to deal with the same situation, and i cannot comfortably sell it without disclosing the recall. now today i receive a notice that the airbag company is filing bankruptcy. it says to go to www.airbagrecall.com all this does is verify that i have a recall. i already knew this. it states "recall incomplete. remedy not yet available" under recall status. then it states "if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the nhtsa vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with nhtsa." calling this number gets you absolutely nothing. the only thing to do is file a complaint. fifteen months with no part to fix a recall is beyond a timely manner. i'm tired of calling every month to be told no parts are in, and being told you will get a letter in the mail when they are in and you can call and schedule the repair. i want a repair or a different vehicle. this is beyond ridiculous.

I was first notified in 2016 of a recall with directive that no one should ride in the front passenger seat. to date, i've yet to be called in to have this matter repaired, that said, asking a car owner to not be able to use every seat in their vehicle for more than 2 years is beyond the pale. please advise me when i might expect this repair to be completed.
Takata recall i have been informed that my vehicle is no longer safe to drive while some one is in the passenger seat. if deployed 'metal fragments-to be expelled causing serious injury or death.'i called ford to see if they might have a temporary solution reguarding this hazardous recall, since the possible replacement will not become available until the spring of 2018, the representative could not provide me with an answer. according to the rep ford is not responsible. this airbag inflator is a huge problem in my life and i would have liked if they had rentals for the duration of this issue. not only is it a hazard for the owner and my family but it is unethical for ford company not to consider what could happen to the people who own defective vehicles. i own this ford and have a family of five. i don't have other means to travel and take kids to school, soccer, and softball. this vehicle is our only way to be where we have to be. ford is wrong for putting us out and putting my familys lives jeopardy.

We got a notice in july 2016 stating that the passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture in the even of a crash. we still have not heard from the company if they have found a solution to this problem. this is our family car and i don't feel safe driving it all of the time with my child.
