Takata recall. it's been almost 2 years that we have been trying to get the airbag parts and no replacement. this is our only vehicle and it is a great inconvenience. we need a loaner car until the parts are available.

Takata recall. we received the takata recall letter from ford stating that we should not let anyone sit in the passenger seat until the airbag was replaced. i contacted ford to find out when replacement parts would be available. the best estimate ford could provide was that possibly sometime in spring 2018, parts may become available but there were no guarantees. i told the representative that we could not function that long without allowing someone to ride in the passenger seat. i requested a loaner vehicle and the representative said that loaner vehicles are not available. the representative offered to have the supervisor call me. the supervisor repeated the information and i requested to be contacted by someone in management. the supervisor told me that was not possible. i asked repeatedly what could be done to move the process along for replacement parts and to get a loaner car. after repeated requests to be placed in contact with management, the supervisor repeatedly said that was not possible and then hung up on me. this was case # cas13801731. i checked with my local ford dealer, champion ford in edinboro, pa who said they would do the repair when they receive replacement parts. however, ford has not given any dates as to when they can expect to receive parts.
Takata recall i received the first recall notice july 2016. i just received a second notice dated december 2017. under the heading what should you do? on this second notice, says "do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat. the air bag inflator could rupture during deployment in a crash and cause injuries or death." i often have to drive with five people in the vehicle. not allowing anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat is not an option and i cannot afford to purchase different vehicle. this notice also says that remedy parts have been delayed. as long as it is taking ford to remedy this situation, why are they not required to furnish loner vehicles.
Takata recall ford has sent a letter that they are developing "remedy" parts but they are not expected until spring 2018 and until then no one should ride in the front passenger seat. it is unacceptable that over 18 mos later there is still no replacement for my vehicle other than to not use the passenger seat. is the nhtsa aware of these delays? in the meantime, i am sure you are aware that takata has filed bankruptcy and their notification of this states i should get my airbags replaced asap. well i would if they were available.

Takata recall - i received a notice that our passenger side airbag is being recalled. i called the listed dealer in long beach, ca (worthington ford) to get them replaced and he informed me that these airbags are not available to replace yet (it says it has been recalled since 2016). i am very concerned as this is supposed to be our safe family vehicle (i have a 4 year old) and i do not feel safe knowing that we have a defective airbag. please advise what we should do.
Takate recall i have gone to the website to find out about the airbag recall. this vehicle is under recall. i called the dealer listed as a place that is authorized to replace the airbag, however, they said they have no parts to replace and have no idea when they will get any. i need to get this replaced so it is a safe vehicle! please help. thank you.
Takata recall. my car has been on the recall for over a year without resolution regarding the takata airbag recall. i check status regularly and i'm informed they do not have replacement part. this is an unacceptable period of time to not be able to have a passenger ride in our family vehicle. we have a road trip planned and need the airbag replaced immediately.

I received the notification regarding the defective airbags in june 2016. i contacted the dealership i purchased my vehicle from to find out when they would be able to replace the airbags. they informed me that they have not received the release from ford for the replacement parts. i received a postcard in the mail (nov 2017) from t.k. holdings inc. in regards to chapter 11 for takata airbag inflators. i called my local dealership again to find out when they would be replacing my defective airbags. again, they gave me the exact same response as i got last year. my concern is that i am driving a vehicle with defective airbags that could cause body injury or worse, death, if i am involved in a horrible accident. i love my vehicle but want this issue resolved. secondly, how does this affect the resale of my vehicle? who do i need to talk to?
Takata recall issues 6/10/2016. parts still not available through ford to take care of recall, yet honda sent notices out several months ago with resolution. i only know this because my brother owns a 2008 civic and the information gets mailed to my residence. i do have a toddler in a car seat, and i'd rather not have something flying at him in an accident and injuring him. changing vehicles is not an option.

Takata recall: nhtsa recall number 16v384 was issued june 1, 2016. eighteen months after the recall was issued, the manufacturer (ford) has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. further, i have been notified by tk holdings, inc., via u.s. mail that takata corporation has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy in the united states. the notice states, in part, "...takata-manufactured airbag inflators...are or may be defective and could rupture, creating a risk of personal injury or death. the notice advises me to visit www.airbagrecall.com to see if i am at risk of injury or death...based on the nhtsa recall notice, i am at risk of personal injury or death with regards to the takata airbags installed in my vehicle. my complaint is that the manufacturer of my vehicle, ford motor company, has not remedied this safety recall in a timely manner and based on the takata bankruptcy filing, i am concerned that this safety recall will go un-addressed by the manufacturer of my vehicle. my vehicle has not been in an accident. the air bags have not deployed. my complaint is that the safety issue has not been remedied.
Takata recall - there has been a recall on my type of car since june 2016, and ford motor co. still has not been able to get the necessary parts to their dealership service departments in order to fix this dangerous problem. after a year-and-a-half, this seems ludicrous. when can consumers expect their cars to be repaired and made safe?

Takata recall - parts are still not available to fix the problem and dealer states they don't know when they will be available. manufacturer filed bankruptcy so seems airbags won't be replaced. how do we get this replaced and car made safe?
Takata recall. it has now been well over a year since i was informed that my airbag is defective and life-threatening. i took my car to my local ford dealership and was told that my airbag cannot be replaced right now. i requested a replacement vehicle because i feel unsafe in my vehicle and my family cannot afford to lose a passenger seat. it is ridiculous that over a year later nothing has been done. ford should have supplied me with a rental vehicle, loaner vehicle, or some kind of replacement. i do not feel safe in my vehicle. i live in a zone a high-humidity area. it is unacceptable that no one has offered my family another alternative.

I recently got a safety recall for the front right air bag and when i tried to take my vehicle into get it fixed they said the parts will not be available for months i do not want to risk metal shrapnel being exploded if my vehicle is in any sort of collision where the airbag would deploy. is there any remedy for this? can we get my vehicle air bag safe sooner?
Takata recall ford had me sign a do not drive order for my ford edge. i am told no parts are available to get it fixed until june 2020. so they gave me a rental to drive. rather than they pay for the rental, how about giving me the money so i can buy a different one!
Takata recall, i received notice about the recall in march,2017 and now received notice of the company filing bankruptcy chapter11. so i called ford and they still do not have replacement of the air bag inflator for my vehicle. how long do they have to comply with a recall? i have not been in an incident but fear with winter and road conditions some thing might happen.
Takata recall dealer said we have to wait for the new airbags there is a shortage. we have been waiting at least a year not being able to use the passenger seat! help

Takata recall is well underway but we are not yet able to make an appointment to replace defective and dangerous airbags. our lives are at risk and we have already waited months since first notification about the recall.
Takata recall and the complaint is that this recall is incomplete being as nothing has been done to my vehicle to fix issue. i received an paper in mail stating the legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators.
Takata recall ford was unable to repair due to parts are not available until 2nd quarter of 2018
Takata recall - i received a recall letter in 2016 about the passenger airbag having a defect. i've taken my vehicle to a local ford dealership, but my airbag still hasn't been replaced, because supposedly, there's a lack of parts. it's been over a year - when will the parts be available? i recently received a letter about the driver's side as well, but still, no available parts. why are recall letters being sent out if there aren't any parts available? it really doesn't make any sense to have to wait so long. fortunately, no accidents have happened with my vehicle, but accidents happen every day. am i suppose to continue taking chances with my vehicle?
Takata recall. i have yet to be contacted about getting this fixed from my dealer. the only contact i have had is legal notices in the mail.
Takata recall - ford has known about this issue with the defective takata air bags since june 2016, i have reached out to my local dealership for months with the same result: 'ford has no parts to fix the issue'. it is now oct 2017, the potential of failure i can only believe is increasing every day, thankfully we have not yet had a failure as of yet but this is a very real issue that must be addressed.
Takata recall i have contacted my local ford dealership as well as ford motor company and was informed there are no parts yet available to fix the airbag recall issue. and no known date for future replacement of parts. no accident has occurred as of today, but i want this issue fixed sooner rather than later. ford website states vehicles are safe to drive until parts are available, however the recall notification from takata states "could rupture, creating a risk of personal injury or death" this recall was issued june 1, 2016 why was i never notified by ford? i knew nothing of the recall until takata notified me they were filing chapter 11
I was never contacted from ford about the recall to get the air bag checked or fixed until i received a notice in the mail by tk holding inc.
Takata recall. we received a recall notice from ford dated july 2016. called the dealer where we bought the car, they said they did not have any new airbags available & they would notify us when to being the car in for replacement. it is now oct 19, 2017 & we have not heard a word from ford. are they going to wait till we are injured to do something?
Takata recall. i bought the edge in 2007, and have not been advised when or where to get the recall done. i talked to a local ford dealer and was told (we do not have them and you will be notified when we do) no one said anything until this chapter11 case
Takata recall. no replacement airbags available. when will these be available?
