Takata recall: we have received letters from the ford motor company for more than a year now about this safety recall on the takata air bags, but have been informed by our local ford dealership each time we have phoned that they still have not received parts in our region. the last letter we received from ford was just this november 2018, and the last call i made to local ford dealerships was today (12/6/18). the dealership (dave smith ford) claims to not know when parts will arrive, but has stated that they will call us when they receive parts. this has been an inordinate amount of time for this recall work to occur, and we have received no good explanation, only more letters from ford telling us to take action. we cannot do so without the dealership getting parts!

Passenger airbag inflator was recalled in january 2016. almost three years later and no remedy from ford. parts are apparently still not available.

Takata recall. i've been trying to get service for the takata airbag recall for the past year. i've called the fords nearby and they don't have the parts. i'm currently on their email list for when the parts become available. i received a letter in the mail that parts would become available in the second and third quarters of 2018. i received that letter in may 2018. also, i just received mail from the auto airbag settlement that stated that i need to get the recall as soon as possible. i called ford today november 6, 2018 to see if the parts have come in but they still have not. im not sure if i need to just continue to wait for a letter from a ford company when the parts come in or if other people with the same recall have already gotten their cars fixed and i haven't been notified.

Takata recall we have tried reaching out to several dealerships for the past year regarding both of our recall notices (airbag and fuel tank). every time we received one we have contacted (3) nearby ford dealerships in grand rapids, every dealership for the past year continues to inform us they do not have the parts and services and to call back in a month. every month for the past year we have called - still no parts! we are aware this car came from florida from our report, which we purchased in michigan. today, october 26th, 2018 received the settlement claim. it states we cannot be apart of the claims because we have not serviced our vehicle yet. however, we have tried for one full year to get this vehicle serviced! at this point in time, we are now considering hiring an attorney and attending the hearing on december 11th, 2018. we would like to receive notification how to get our recalls resolved and serviced in michigan, since noparts are available (on-going over one-year of calling). please contact me directly how we are able to proceed?! 'takata recall' still awaiting available parts to complete this recall is what i am repeatedly told. this has taken way to long to be fixed, as i am still having to drive this car daily. i really don't feel totally safe driving a car in need of a very sensitive repair and having to transport my school kids daily as well. i have reached out to local dealerships, which continues to tell me to keep checking back, or just keep waiting to be contacted. a loaner until this problem is resolved would be great, but no such luck with that request either. continuing to drive an unsafe car just isn't right!

Takata recall ford, the manufacturer, has repeatedly told me they have no parts to fix my car's bad airbags yet. this recall started in 2016 and i am concerned about driving my car. i just wanted you guys to know that ford hasn't found a remedy yet.

My dealership called me for my airbags to be replaced 9/25//18 @ 11am. the ford company stated that the parts were not available. this company continues to misinform customers with their deceptive tactics. i have not received a letter stating that the parts are available from the ford company. how can the customer make sure they are having the airbag recall replaced?

Takata recall i took my 2007 edge to my local dealership for the recent airbag shrapnel recall. i was informed that i would need to join a waitlist, for when the parts become available. in the meantime, im supposed to drive my car, knowing the possible fatal risk, and "just refrain from allowing passengers to ride there". umm.. hello what about my life??? i was told no loaner vehicle and to know, "if we survive, we could be very rich with a lawsuit" from an employee. this will not suffice and i need a remedy.

Takata recall- i was notified through the mail that my 2007 ford edge passenger side air bag was on recall. i made numerous calls to my ford dealer, the last being june 25, 2018. i was told that they still did not have the replacement air bags in yet and did not know when they would be getting them in.

Takata recall ford is not taking care of this problem in a timely manner. i bought my car 5 days before the recall and have been unable to use it to its potential. ford has continuously told me to check back in a couple weeks and has refused me a loaner vehicle that can be safely driven.

Takata recall - according to the november 2017 remedy program document called the state of takata airbag recall, all vehicles should have had resolution by 2017 for airbag defect. only group 4 has until 2019 to have airbag situation remedied. i own a 2007 ford edge. local dealer does not have parts or an estimate on when they would get parts. please advise next steps for immediate resolution. a 20 year old child drives this car to college. please help us so she doesn't lose her life like the individuals seen in the document as recent as july 2017.

Takata inflators i have a saftey recall for my airbags. i am in the dallas area and i got in contact with all of the ford dealerships in the dallas area and non of them have the replacement parts. after researching the issue i should not drive with a passenger because if the airbag were to inflate it could send metal fragments flying causing serious injury and death. this is obviously a major concern and due to the fact that i use my vehicle daily for carpool i need to get this taken care of as soon as possible. however the ford dealerships have said they don't have the parts and they are not sure when they will get them, specifically north central ford in richardson which is my dealership. this is cause for major concern for me that i cannot get this replaced.

Takata recall the recall has been in effect since june 2016. it is january of 2018 and i've received another notice that the parts are still not available to fix this issue. the airbagrecall.com website says "if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the nhtsa vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with nhtsa." so i'm filing a complaint since almost two years has passed with no remedy.

Takata recall in january 2018 we were notified that the airbags in our ford edge were defective, and were being recalled. in addition, we were notified that information would be forthcoming to take our vehicle to our local dealer. unfortunately, we did not receive notification until may 2018. this may 2018 notification was very clear by informing us that if we were to drive our vehicle without a new airbag replacement would not only endanger our well-being but could also cause serious injury -- even death. so, therefore take our vehicle immediately to our local dealer for prompt replacement. the notification also indicated a loaner vehicle would be supplied -- up to $30 per day while the replacement was taking place at our local dealer. we did as instructed and immediately took our vehicle to our local dealer with this information we received in may 2018. to our disappointment, we were told there are no loaner vehicles available because places like enterprise (and other loaner vehicle agencies) wanted more than $30 per day. enterprise filed a complaint law suit against ford motor company for a higher reimbursement amount. therefore, our local dealer informed us to wait until this law suit between enterprise is settled and loaners become available. since may 2018 until current, we have checked with out local dealer as to the progress being made between ford motor co. and enterprise for a possible loaner. as of this date (oct. 26, 2018), no change has been made. meanwhile, our ford edge cannot be used because of the impending danger.
