How to turn on fog lights

Today, we're going to learn how to turn on the fog lights on a 2018 Ford Edge. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Make sure your vehicle is turned on or in accessory mode, with the engine off.
  2. Locate the lighting control switch on the left side of your steering wheel.
  3. To turn on the fog lights, you will first need to activate the vehicle's low-beam headlights. To do this, rotate the lighting control switch to the second position – you'll feel a small click as it moves into place.
  4. Next, locate the fog light button on the same control switch. It should have an icon of a headlight with wavy lines and a "plus" sign, indicating the addition of fog lights.
  5. Press the fog light button to activate the fog lights. You should see a green indicator light in the instrument cluster displaying a similar fog light icon. This confirms that your fog lights are now turned on.

To turn off the fog lights, simply press the fog light button again. The green indicator light in the instrument cluster should turn off, confirming that your fog lights are now deactivated.

Remember, it's important to use your fog lights responsibly, only activating them when visibility is significantly reduced due to fog, rain, or snow.

If your fog lights aren't working after following the steps to turn them on, it might be due to a blown fuse. To fix this issue, you'll need to locate the fuse box, find the appropriate fuse for the fog lights, and replace it if it's blown. Be sure to consult your owner's manual for guidance on the fuse box location and the specific fuse needed for your fog lights.
