Turn signal malfunction, activate the left signal and the right turns on. activate the right signal and nothing happens. sometimes when the left is activated both signals work like hazard flashers. *tr

Turn signals do not work properly. when you put on your left turn signal it will light up as a right turn signal often and same when you put on your right turn signal the left will light up. most of the time however my turn signals will not even come on. this has almost caused several accidents its really bad when i am pulling trailers. in rain storms and snow storms my windshield wipers will occasionally just stop and only have 1 speed which is slow.... i have had to pull over alot and just wait for my windshield wipers to work again. *tr

this has accured several times, while using turn signals.while driving i turn on the left signal and the right one seems to come on and then at times they will just all blink on and off. then at other times while using the turn signals. the lights go fast then goes out. i feel this is a important and major saftey feature of this vehicle/ truck. i went and ask the local dodge dealer service advisor about this problem. the advisor said he never heard of it. and further that warranty was out at 36000 miles. i was in the belief . that safety items on new vehicles were covered for 5 years 100000 miles... this problem will cause a accident. the ? is when...please recall this problem before someone gets hurt while turning due to the from a faulty turn signal that hes been found on the 2006 dodge ram pick up.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact stated that the front turn signal indicators would not operate. when signaling to turn, only the rear blinkers would operate. the contact took vehicle to the dealer and was told that the front turn signal relay failed and the entire fuse panel would need replacing. the contact believed the failure to be an extreme safety hazard because oncoming drivers would not be warned when he would attempt a turn. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 58,000 and the current mileage was 71,000.

I have a 2006 dodge megacab 2500 i recently purchased. the turn signal multiswitch has a malfunction which seems to be a common problem. when i turn my left blinker on, the right signal will also blink and vice versa. the is a safety issue that can cause an accident. *tr

I have 2006 dodge ram 2500 trx4, i started having problems with my rt rear turn signal approx 2 months ago. thought it was bulb, wasn't! i took truck to local auto electric shop, was told on dec 14th, 2010 that the problem was the entire fuse block that controls the turn signals. he called dodge dealer and was told that the part would run over $700 and that there were 200 already on back-order! now, jan 3rd, 2011 when i push on brake the rt rear light flickers/flashes as if the turn signal is working. i don't believe that $700 plus labor is acceptable from dodge, and even if i ordered the part they can't tell me when it would deliver due to large back log on them. it seems to me that there is a major issue and i think that there should be a recall issued by dodge. *tr

Our 2006 dodge ram megacab will signal in the wrong direction. for instance, if you signal left, the right turn signal will turn on or both turn signals will start flashing, or the turn signals won't work at all. sometimes when the headlights are on, and you turn it to high beams, the headlights will totally turn off. the windshield wipers will only work on intermittent speed. we had this replaced once under warranty, and now, a year later, the new switch has the same problems. these are hazards when we are driving. these problems were occurring once in a while, but now it is happening all the time. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact stated that when driving at various speeds and engaging the turn signals, the opposite turn signal tail light would flash. the vehicle was not taken to be examined for the cause of failure and was not repaired. the vin was unavailable. the failure and current mileage was 65,000.

Normal driving, no rain, daylight hours. outside temp. was approx. 85 deg f. when attempting to activate left turn signal for a lane change, the signal would not activate, when i attempted to activate it again, the right signal activated. during the duration of my trip i was able to replicate this problem numerous times, affecting both sides. i was able to duplicate this issue with the vehicle both at rest and stationary, with the engine running. i have not fixed this issue at this time, but plan to replace the multifunction switch. *tr

I was changing lanes on the interstate in minneapolis mn in heavy traffic and when i activated the left turn signal, the right turn signal flashed. i did catch it and didn't switch lanes. obviously a safety concern. the problem has been coming and going for two days now and i plan to bring it to a dealer this weekend. when this does happen i can activate the four way flashers and the left turn signal does work. i don't know what the problem is but hopefully there is a fix for it. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact was driving approximately 45 mph when he engaged the left turn signal and the right turn signal illuminated instead. the failure would occur sporadically. in addition, the windshield wipers would fail intermittently. the vehicle was not taken for inspection or repairs. the failure and current mileage was 110,000.

2006 dodge ram 2500 turn signal issues. malfunctioning turn signals. turn left signal on and right signal comes on intermittently. sometimes neither side turn signals work. moving tilt steering column seems to temporary fix the issue. nearly had an accident while making a left turn and right blinker went on instead, vehicle following passed on the left hand side of truck because they saw the right hand turn signal flashing. dodge has a tsb for this problem on the ram 3500, so they know what is wrong. however, they refuse to admit there is a problem on 2500 rams, and it should be forced to mandatory recall on both vehicles. there are several reports of other dodge ram 2500 with same problem in other online forums, and i personally know of someone with same problem on their 2006 dodge ram. *tr

Turn signals do not blink properly, often times both come on at once. windshield wipers suddenly go off during the middle of driving, which is not experienced very often due to it not raining very often, but it happens enough to scare me. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact stated she engaged her turn signal to indicate she was making a left but the right turn signal engaged. the vehicle was not diagnosed for the failure and there were no prior warnings. the current and failure mileages were 70,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. the contact stated that the turn signals, windshield wipers, and the headlights were all inoperable. the dealer replaced the stalk in august 2010 to remedy the failure; however, the failure had recurred. the manufacturer was aware of the failure. the current mileage was 76,000 and the approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

On numerous occasions over the past couple of years my turn signal has malfunctioned. try to signal a left turn and the right signal turns on and vice versa. it is an intermittent problem and could cause an accident. *tr

I own a 2006 dodge ram 2500 mega cab. just last week my blinkers started going crazy. i will signal the left blinker and it will signal right and visa versa. this problem happens daily and happens so frequent that i am afraid to drive my truck anywhere. i have not replaced the switch yet. in doing research, it says you must pull the steering wheel to fix the problem. i just thought a wire might be grounding out. i then started to do some research and many many other people are having this issue on their trucks of the same year. i do hope you consider this a recall as it to be a very intense safety issue and i do believe dodge should fix the problem. doing research on the problem it does cost a significant amount. if i have to fix a safety issue that is ongoing with a vehicle and dodge knows about it, it is time for the government to step in and make this corporation fix the safety problem. if they know about the problem and don't fix it, i am sure a lawyer could be contacted to let everyone know about the problem including the ones who won't fix it. *tr

I have a 2006 dodge mega cab 2500 4x4 slt with ~53k miles on it. about 1 month ago i started to experience issues with using my left turn signal. during light momentary and full left turn signal actuation, my right turn signal would come on and the left turn signal would not come on. the occurrences happen at random times and for random durations of time. i usually fiddle with the turn signal lever to get the left signal to work after i notice the incorrect flashing of the right turn signal. this surely has raised my chances of being involved in an accident as other drivers interpret this to mean i have change my intent to turn or am confused or possibly impaired. this is an ongoing problem and i will repair this at my own cost to avoid putting myself in danger. i have read numerous reports of this or very similar failures occurring in the dodge truck line. please make this a safety recall in order to address this serious issue. *tr

2006 dodge ram 2500 laramie. turn signals operate sporadically. moving the turn signal stalk to signal a left turn can result in no flashing of the left turn signal but improper flashing of the right turn signal. likewise the same opposite improper operation occurs when moving the turn signal stalk to signal a right turn. the incorrect flashing signal appears at both the dashboard indicator light and at the exterior front and rear turn signal lighting positions. *tr

Wipers fail to turn on or get stuck on intermediate, turn signals work on the opposite side that you place them, when you put the right turn signal on the left works. sometime you can't switch the headlight from bright to dim or vice versa.

Dodge has a bad tipm, when a headlight goes out the tipm gets an over voltage signal and shuts the light down so if you replace the light it still wont work, you have to take it to the dealer and get it reprogrammed and you can only do that twice and have to get a new one that cost $1000. *tr

2006 ram pick up right turn signal comes on when left turn signal is switched on. if the trick requires to be fixed before it passes state inspection, then it is a safety problem and should be recalled. dodge wants greater than 500 dollars to fix and the problem exists all over the internet. *tr

Use of left turn signal results in right turn blinker unless steering wheel is moved. *tr

Turn indicator on 2006 dodge 2500 pickup truck either fails to operate or when the indicator should be signaling for a left turn it is actually activating the right turn lights, sometime switching the direction as it is operating. *tr

Turn signal malfunction switch dodge ram 2500,signal has poor quality plating on the circuit board causing a buildup of metal in the dielectric grease on the switch. this in turn causes an erratic or no signal operation at all making it very dangerous to drive when pulling a trailer. dodge service said there was no problem but dodge parts knew what the problem was and told me what part to buy an or how to fix. i drove over 50,000 miles and almost had several accidents and the kansas highway patrol finally verified the problem. they have recalled the 3500 ram truck but this is very common on the 1500,2500 models also. i have replaced the part at my expense and inspected the old switch and cleaned it to keep it as a spare. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500 pickup. while driving approximately 35 mph the turn signals began flashing in the opposite direction of what was chosen. the left turn signal would flash right and vice versa. the dealer stated that the turn signal switch was faulty. there were no recalls and the manufacturer would take no liability for the failures. repairs were estimated at over $400 at the owner's expense. the failure and current mileages were under 38,652. the vin # was unavailable.

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500 diesel. the contact stated that the turn signals intermittently failed to work. when the left turn signal was engaged, the right signal came on and when the right turn signal was activated, the left turn signal came on. the failure also caused the windshield wipers to stop working from time to time. the vehicle was not inspected when the complaint was filed. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was 55000 and the current mileage was 62000.

Multifunction switch controlling the turn signals on my 2006 dodge 2500 megacab went bad. it turns on the incorrect signal, or both signals then trying to use the turn signals. from searching the internet, this is a very common problem. *tr

Dodge ram has a problem that causes the directional lights to work in reverse. when the steering wheel is tilted and the left turn signal is turned on the right flashes and when the right turn signal is used the left flashes. this causes other drivers to think you are turning right when you really are turning left! *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge ram 2500. while driving approximately 35 mph the turn signals would not operate. he had to turn the turn signal switch off an then back on to operate the signals. also the windshield wipers do not operate at the intended speed. the authorized dealer was notified of the malfunctions. the failure mileage was 40,400. the current mileage was 40,551.

2006 dodge 2500 turn signal issues. malfunctioning turn signals turn left signal on,and right signal comes on and vise versa and sometimes neither will come on. *tr

Turn signal switch failure. *tr

I have a 2006 dodge mega cab that i have had since new. i had to have the multifunction switch replaced at 40,000 miles almost two years ago, now after driving it almost another 20,000 miles it is doing the same thing. is there a recall on this part or do i have any recourse to get this replaced again? this is very dangerous as you never know when it is going to happen. the blinkers will flash the wrong way and the wipers might work or they might not or they may come on when the blinkers are on. this is very distracting when you are in a lot of traffic. please help. thank you. *tr

The turn signals fail to function correctly, intermittently. sometimes, when putting on the right or left turn signal, the opposite signal goes on; some other times, nothing will happen. related, but less seriously dangerous: the windshield wipers fail to work; the windshield washers fail to work; and the high beams do not come on. *cn

Bought a used 2006 dodge ram 2500 trx4 with the 5.9l cummins. driving home from the used car dealership, my turn signal switch was not working properly. it would vary from when i had in the left turn position, sometimes the right blinker would flash too, or nothing would blink. sometimes, when i make a right turn and initiate the right turn signal, nothing flashes or if i put it in the left turn position, then the right turn signal flashes. i purchased it used on sep 1, 2009; and this is my first dodge and more importantly, a life-threatening equipment fault/malfunction. i have read online several articles of this affecting several year model dodge ram 2500/3500 trucks. if this is known, why isn't a "recall" initiated and i as a user/consumer, now has to pay another $100 for a multi turn switch, from which i read, may malfunction within a year. *tr

When driving at night sometimes when you change the headlights from low beam to high beam they completely go out and sometimes only the right high beam doesn't work. *tr

2006 dodge 2500 truck. has had intermittent problem with turn signals and wipers. turn on signal and other signal comes on. wipers go off with switch on. this has been issue since bought vehicle in 06. does not do it all the time. *tr

Since august of 2009, i have had problems with my turn signals not working correctly at all times. issue: when i turn the right turn signal on the left signal comes on. when i turn the right signal on the left comes on. occasionally, they do not work at all. *tr

The turn signal (multi-function) switch in my 2006 dodge 2500 is malfunctioning. when i turn on my left turn signal the right turn signal will flash and sometimes the left as well. the same thing happens when i put on my right turn signal, the left turn signal will flash. i have had two very close calls with this, the most recent while pulling a 34 foot fifth wheel trailer. i have seen numerous complaints about this on the diesel truck resource web page and some of the stories are of very serious close calls. this needs to be a recall. *tr

2006 dodge ram 2500, turn signal fault, turn on left directional, and right directional comes on very dangerous....... *tr

I turn on the left turn signal and the right comes on and vice versa. *tr

The multifunction switch (turn signal) is malfunctioning. i have heard many people state this same thing. the turn signals will activate opposite (trip the left and the right activates) and vice versa. the high beams will not turn off. and most recently i was in a rain storm and my windshield wipers which are activated by the same switch did not work. i had to stop on the side of the road and wait for the rain to stop before i could continue since i could not get them to activate. the multifunction switch appears to be a faulty part of my truck 2006 dodge ram 2500. *tr

I was driving down the hwy in pouring rain when the wipers started acting erratically going from real fast then slow then stopped leaving the wiper arm right in front of my eye level . they never came back on. luckily i avoided an accident. i have tried new wiper motor did nothing later ordered a multifunction switch that didn't work either. now im told that 2006 dodge ram 2500 has a tipm in place of the fuse this is called a total integrated power module. i searched the turbo diesel registry and there are others that have had the same experience. the truck has 58,000 miles and is garage kept i consider excellent condition. chrysler will not provide any help. i now have a $1,000 plus repair bill and a truck that i cannot drive. also i have read on here of other electrical problems so how can i trust that this part wont do the same thing. *tr

Turn signals intermittently stop working and worse sometimes flash opposite direction of what they should. very dangerous. dodge should recall this problem which is evidently happening a lot on 2006 dodge ram trucks. *tr

2006 dodge ram 2500. multifunction switch fails when needed the most. this item controls the wipers, turn signals, high/low beams, as well as emergency flashers. this was an intermittent problem when i first reported it to the dealership, and surprise surprise it didn't fail at the dealership. now after my standard warranty has expired it has completely failed. there was no events leading up to the failure. the dealerships are now saying that this is a common issue, but since the warranty has expired, i now have to pay for parts as well as labor for an item that causes a major safety issue. imagine driving in a down poor, and the switch that controls your wipers fails to perform. *tr

2006 dodge 2500 mega cab. while sitting at a stop light in a left turn lane with left turn signal on, i experienced erratic timing of the left turn signal, and quick flashes of the opposite (right) turn signal. moving the steering wheels direction seemed to remedy the problem, and i have not been able to duplicate the problem. *tr
