After filling up with fuel on serval different occasions the truck will shut off with no warning lights or service lights. this causes the power steering and everything to stop. when at a stop sign it can be started safely from park or neutral but when moving it has to be put in neutral to re start because the brake system does not work good either. it has happened at stop sign and stop light as well as driving down the road at 55 mph

Sometimes when you stop at a red light or stop sign and then try to go the truck dies especially after getting gas and sometimes happens when turning to the right. we have taken it to the dodge dealership several times for this problem but they haven't fixed it. we have a lifetime warranty but they haven't fixed it. the date at the bottom is the last time it happened but it has been happening for a few years and the dealership in tyler, texas has not fixed it.
Hello, i have had a problem with my dodge ram the fuel line system just cracked and caused my vehicle to catch fire and blow up while myself in my 7 year old granddaughter was in the vehicle my vehicle has been maintained since day one when i bought it brand new never having problems with it other than your will wells were never drilled out to drain the water in the back i would like to know if you have had other issues with this vehicle on the same incident. myself in my granddaughter inhale very toxic fumes before we were able to get out the truck as it was on fire and inches away when it exploded.pics and report wont download thank you
Engine died without warning going slow on bumpy road, turning left. lost all steering and brakes. had just filled tank. started right back up. very dangerous situation. i am now afraid to drive it. i see many other complaints of the same nature.
While driving all of the gauges have quit working headlights stay on will not turn off.
The truck stalls after filling with fuel. it can happen at any time; stalled in a turn causing the loss of power steering; stalled at stops; causes bucking. at no other time does the truck have these issues. i have heard of other having this issue with this model and others such as jeep, etc. regarding the "when did this happen?" question below, it happens at 95+% of fill-ups. the last time it happened was 6/1/19.
Engine shuts off after every fill up at the gas station if vehicle is placed in a moderately hard stop or making a right hand turn on a freeway on ramp or city street causing the engine to shut off completely and leaving vehicle in motion without power to steering and brakes. this has happened more time than i can remember.
Without any warning, no gauge signs or anything, the truck just shut down. it would not start again and the engine seems to be locked up it will not crank over. i was sitting at a stop light and the check engine light came on, oil gauge dropped, and the truck shut off all within seconds. not a good situation i was lucky that i was not on an interstate going 60 or 70 miles an hour.
Tl* the contact owns a 2002 dodge ram 1500. while driving 35 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact attempted to restart the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. an independent towing company towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the contact took the vehicle back to the independent mechanic who informed the contact that the wire harness convertible box had a lot of corrosion around it and needed to be replaced. a collision shop was contacted. the dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 200,000.
