Driver airbag inflator, went to dodge dealer about recall and he said he did not have the parts and he would call me when he gets them. i have three of these (r25/nhtsa 15v-313
Takata recall. i was notified in august of a potentially life threatening issue where my driver air bag inflator could explode. the notice said replacement parts were not available at that time, i would be contacted when available. i have not received any further notice. i called the number chrysler listed on the notice in approximately october. i was told they still did not have the parts. i gave them the name of the dealer i would like to do the work, they said i would be added to their list and would be contacted. i have yet to be contacted. the length of time and lax attitude chrysler has to fix this life threatening matter is absurd. per quarterly report 15v-313, less than 24% of the vehicles of the total recall population have been resolved in 9 months time after the manufacture has know and been acting on this problem. this is frankly unacceptable. i feel the government needs to step in, make sure the remaining 3 million consumers get their vehicles repaired and impose heavy fines and sanctions on chrysler for their neglectful response to resolve this problem.
