As i was driving through a grocery parking lot, i remember taking my foot off of the accelerator to slow down and to make a right turn up an isle to go to a parking spot. once my foot came off of the accelerator, my car died, no brakes, and no steering. the electrical continued to work as my music was still playing and the flashers worked as well. i put the car in park, and pushed the start button, nothing happened. i tried a couple more times and then my car started back up. i drove to a parking spot, shut the car off and turned it back on. i drove back home with no issues and put her in the garage. i'm very nervous, to say the least as i have to drive to work tomorrow. i hope this does not occurs as i'm driving 55 mph.
Abs light, skid control light remains on, cruise control not operating at all when turned on vehicle lights came on, cruise control not working at all fear that there may be issue with brakes, have seen complaints of leakage into abs system on other year models
Traction control warning light, brake warning light, abs light all triggered and strange jolt when driving 50 mph on a highway flyover. matches description of safety recall r61 dtc c2200-49 and body module codes listed.

Precisely on 7.3.19 i had 4 of my children with me heading to a holiday parade. my car w/o warning completely stopped in the middle of a road. no power, no brakes, no steering. air was still blowing; radio still playing. my daughter and i pushed my car to the curb, my husband came and pushed my car further to avoid an accident. after several attempts the car restarted and restarted fine. drove another .5 city block; stopped at a stop sign, pulled out and my car died again in the middle of the intersection. my husband was still behind me & pushed us out. we drove home. he looked under the hood, nothing stood out. i didn't get any warnings on the dash. the car has driven fine until 7.5.19. my daughter and i just turned onto calumet ave; a very busy and dangerous road and my car died again. several cars flying around us laying on their horn. i do not have power to turn, to brake. my daughter and i got out and push my car into a parking lot that has a slight uphill entrance. it was not easy, it was dark outside. a very dangerous situation. i can only flip my hazard lights on, well what does that do when a car is flying up behind me at 40-50mph? i am terrified my car is going to die and my family and i are going to get seriously hurt and/or killed. reading on the internet there seems to be many people with the same issue and dodge is not responding. i have children who require trips to indianapolis for medical issues and it is a 3-4 hour drive for us. speed limit is 70. i cannot afford to trade this in and purchase a new car. i do not where else to go for help. if you call a mechanic or the dealership they tell you that can't help without looking at it. dodge dealer denies ever hearing of it before which i don't believe. neither of course will do a free inspection. i get it they're there to make money. recall should be issued to fix this before it becomes deadly.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 dodge journey. while driving various speeds, the abs and traction control warning indicators illuminated. also, while braking at speeds over 45 mph, the braking distance was extended. the dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failures. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was 71,600.
When taken in to the dealer i was informed tht there was a problem with the abs module.it was coroaded and shorting out the sysyem which also controls the speed sensors and traction control system. on tuesday may 7th i started the car and the speedometer did not register and the automatic door locks did not engage the brakes also hopped when i tried to slow down or stop.
The abs and esc alarm and warning lights came on at the same time, while i was driving and i had just applied the brakes for a car turning left that was in front of me.
I was driving down the interstate when my abs and traction control light came on. i seen where my vehicle is not covered under the recall. i have a 2015 with only 44105 miles. it will cost me several hundreds dollars to have it fixed.
There are times when my abs light comes in and my cruise control won't work and the anti skid lights is in. the brakes half way make this grind noise and i need feel the brakes locking up but not all the way but sure gets your attention. it's happened a couple times while just driving or going down road or stopping on city streets moving straight.
The antilock brake system (abs) control module failed. there was a recall on the abs control module for this vehicle model and production year. but chrysler claims this particular abs module is not related to the recall and that it is due to a short in the module. i share this information so you can investigate to determine if there is another issue with abs modules. anti lock brakes are a safety feature that help prevent accidents. if the control modules are failing on vehicles that are only 3 years old that seems like more than coincidence. could there be a correlation between safety recall r61 issued in december 2015 and the failure of the abs module in this vehicle?
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 dodge journey. while driving approximately 65 mph, the brakes seized and the abs and check engine indicators illuminated. the vehicle was taken to john hiester chrysler dodge jeep ram (844-432-6794, located at 940 n main st, lillington, nc 27546) and the contact was informed that there was no recall. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and also stated that there was no recall. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
Abs light on
The abs warning light is illuminated, but there is no trouble codes. there has been a recall alert, about the electronic stability of such i found online.
When accelerating vehicle pulls more one way (right). when at steady speed vehicle holds direction but if getting on the freeway or accelerating after stopping, i have to strongly correct the vehicle's direction. concerned there is a possibility of brakes not fully releasing after stopping and is only noticeable because of the speed (entering the freeway) or full stop was made.
Abs recall, my dodge journey fits the same description for an abs recall, however my vin number doesn't say that it is affected. i am outside of warranty so the dealership won't touch it. displeased majorly!!
My car has 64,000 miles on it and the abs light, traction light, brake light and check engine light came. i have an appointment on friday to get it diagnosed. at 32,000 miles the check engine light came on upon starting and my car would not go over 30 miles per hour. a fuel injector sensor went out.

Was parking on an incline, i had come to a complete stop. when i applied the parking/emergency brake the cable disconnected from the parking/emergency brake pedal. there was an audible pop and the pedal fell towards the firewall. the pedal no longer retracts without manual assistance. when fully retracted, if not held in place, the weight of the pedal trips the brake's sensor and the brake alarm.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 dodge journey. while the vehicle was stationary, the abs failed. while driving 55 mph during a rainstorm, the abs and traction control warning indicators illuminated. when the contact depressed the brake pedal, there was a spring-like malfunction that occurred and the vehicle was difficult to stop. in addition, the vehicle came to an abrupt stop when the brakes were applied. peacock chrysler jeep dodge ram runswick (5400 altama avenue, brunswick, georgia 31525, (912) 231-4453) was made aware of the failure and replaced the abs sensor. the failure recurred. upon the second occurrence of the failure, while the vehicle was stationary, the contact entered the vehicle and the abs and traction control warning indicators illuminated upon starting the vehicle. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the failure mileage was 14,000.
The problem was the engine stalling while driving. lost the ability to steer and brake. i had this problem happen to my 18yr old daughter on october 9th 2017. i called the dealer on october 10th where we purchased it to explain what was going on. they got it in that morning and drove it for about 30 miles and could not recreate the problem. they said the car did not give them any codes to tell them what the issue was so they could not do anything because they did not know what to replace. i am not sure if there is a relevance to the problem but a week before this happened my keyfob would not work at all. the car would say key not detected. i had to press the keyfob into the button to get the car started. once i got home, which is 15 miles away, i noticed the tpm sensors were only reading 1 tire pressure. the others were reading "---". the keyfob battery's were replaced on both keyfobs to make sure that was not the issue but it didn't help. i disconnected the battery to reset the computer and the keyfobs started to work correctly. i drove the car a few miles and the tpm sensors started to read. again i am not sure if this is related but thought i should point it out. this is a dangerous problem and could end up very bad with not being able to steer or brake because you loose all power. here is a video of the problem happening. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0b5m2jjg-syvivhhjuhzlwmdycdq
Car stalls in the middle of driving. this is very dangerous can cause a fatal accident. the fuel system is always throwing a code
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 dodge journey. while driving at an unknown speed, the brake pedal was applied but failed to respond. the abs indicator illuminated and the contact crashed into a pole. there were no injuries and a police report was not filed. the air bags did not deploy. the local dealer was not contacted. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and did not offer any assistance. the failure mileage was 25,000.
2 lights came on on the dash. it was determined to be the anti lock brake sensor so i had it replaced. less than 30 days later, it came on again. it was determined to be the same thing but they wouldn't cover fixing it because they didnt know if it was the same one they had already replaced ir another of the sensors. apparently this is something that happens on all dodge journeys and for some reason, a recall hasnt been issued.

3 separate incidents, all involving braking while in motion, spread over about 2 months. 1., took too long to come to a stop while braking at a red light (6 car lengths); 2., light tap caused car to screech to a stop; 3. complete failure; no response to repeated pumping; no resistance felt when pressing brake all the way to the floor, nearly flipped into a ditch, caused over $8k damages. the car itself had 23,295 miles on it when all this happened. dodge "investigator" said nothing's wrong.

Driving on a major highway when all of a sudden, i noticed my speed dropping. i pushed on the gas but got no response. then traffic began to stop but i couldnt! my brakes did not work!!! i put my hazzard lights on and began to drift across 3 lanes of traffic because the steering also did not work!!!! i almost caused several accidents as i was unable to control my vehicle. i made it to the emergency lane and pushed the emergency break coming to a joilting stop. once i caught my breath and stopped shaking, i was able to restart the vehicle. i then exited the highway and crept across town back to the dealer where i had just left getting my oil changed prior to this incident. they checked out the vehicle but found no bad codes or any other issue so there is no fix for something they could not re-create.. this is my 3rd journey (2010, 2011, 2015) and i believe this is an accident waiting to happen. i had no issues with the prior two years. i am terrified of driving this vehicle now especially noting so many other complaints of the same issue.
I purchased my vehicle in november 2015, just two weeks ago while stopped at a light my vehicle just turned off . when trying to restart my vehicle jolted then turned on, i took to the dealership they stated all it needed was a software update and it would fix it and that it would never happen again. while 4 days later it happened again this time the vehicle was in motion we were turning a corner and bam the car turns off again almost getting slammed by another vehicle. i had to help my.husband pull the wheel to turn, the steering wheel locked braked didn't work or accelerator. i opened a case with chrysler and they say they can't do anything for me. i really need help.with this some please help this is a unsafe vehicle

I have recieved 3 recalls and all of them the manufacturer just says to contact dealer for vehicle inspection and part repair. its been 3 mos and poway dodge dealer said to wait till i got another recall notice that parts have been distributed. i am wondering if i need to have the accident before the company accepts responsability for repairs or worst deaths in my family. i have a two year old and an 8 year old to protect mr. ceo/vp. first it was the breaks, then seat belt, now navigation system. i also have not been able to use one of the air condition vents in front seat cause its never circulated since i bought it. was my car made on a friday before happy hour?
Abs....braking failure....my brakes failed on 12/31/2015 shortly before 3pm, i was leaving a shopping center parking lot, a car was backing out, so i went to hit my brakes, and they went all the way to the floor without stopping or slowing down, i tried a second time but still nothing happened, so i as i got closer to the car, i veered away from it and bumped a pole to stop my car, i was going between 5-7 miles per hour, and the vehicle wouldn't stop. my vechicle had front end damage to the bumper and the hood, and not sure if the bumper or the hood pressed against the radiator, but that needed repair as well. my insurance company took care of the damage, i later found out while my vehicle was in the shop getting body work repaired, that there was a recall on my abs, shortly after i received a recall notice in the mail. not sure if that was the reason why my brakes failed, but they isn't any other explanation, my vehicle was only a little over 3 months old, and shouldn't have had that problem. after the bodyshop completed the body damage the insurance company towed it to the chrysler dealership where it was purchased and they refused the vehicle stating they would only fix it if i accept responsibility for the accident, and that i had to put it in writing for the insurance company, so that they insurance company wont make them reimburse them for the damages that they already paid for. (which didn't make any sense to me.. i am still waiting for somebody to accept the responsibility as to why i didn't have any brakes, and why the insurance company just didn't have the repair shop fix the brakes as well. ...even after all the front end damage i'm still confused as to why the airbags didn't deploy. maybe there is a defect there as well.
