I have had my cruise control sensor replaced multiple times within the last two years due to it not activating. after the last repair within 3 months it again stopped acting ating. this was about 8 months ago. 3 weeks ago i went to release my parking brake and heard a loud thud sound. the foot pedal would no longer catch and simply made a clicking sound. i had already scheduled an appointment for december 16, 2019 to repair my catalytic converter due to a recall that had been issued and let the service department know i had concerns with what possibly could be my emergency brake cable. they told me i could pay to gave it diagnosed but i let them know i would have to reschedule. within this last week my truck has been flashing the traction warning light as well as the electronic throttle control sensor light which seems to come on sporadically. i am concerned that the emergency brake line could have been caught through a recall for approximately 276,000 model-year 2012-15 dodge journey suvs manufactured between april 21, 2012, and april 14, 2015. this seal of the wiring harness may have prevent water from getting into the system on my truck. after doing some research the problem may be my speed sensor, which is a major component of the abs system. the constant replacing of the cruise control may have been a sign that this system was being affected.
About three weeks ago, the abs and check light came on, i researched recalls and took car to schlossmann's dodge city. i was advised that due to weather and water leaking into wire harness that it was corroded. in which this is the basis of the r61 recall. however, since my issue is with left wheel sensor and not the front right, it is not covered. i am wondering what the difference is - if the result and cause is the same - why would it not be covered? i have also noticed that the cruise control no longer works - is this related?
At first, when i started the car, it had trouble turning on, so i waited a while to try again and it did. while i was driving it smelled like something was burning and i noticed that both the abs and brake light when off. i pulled over on the side of the highway and turned off the car. i go to turn it on again and it just didn't after that.

This car has just a little over 33145 miles and i just found out that the rotors on the back have rusted so bad that they wore out the back bracks and cannot be turned down they have to be replaced. i had my grandchildren in this car less than 2 weeks ago and my car was inspected in august by a dodge dealer and then i took it back on 8/28/17 because the brake light was on they said the brakes were fine i have it on the invoice front brakes 10/32 80% and 7/32 60% but they said they were fine there no way that rusted in 2 months to that point. i will have midas take a picture of those rotors when they fix my car tomorrow $600.00 for car repairs this week alone. dodge need to pay for my rotors and labor and they are refusing because i will not take it back to the dealer. i will not have mine or my families lives risked again. i am done with dodge two brand new dodge journeys in 4 years and major problems with the brakes, low headlight beams and electrical issues not to mention 2 recalls. i just found out today all this
I own a 2014 dodge journey with about 51k miles on it. since yesterday, this vehicle has been shutting off and stalling while i am driving. the radio will flicker on and off and the instrument cluster will show all warning lights in a flashing manner, after a few seconds of that, the car will completely turn off while still in drive. on october 3rd, i was making a right turn, and the vehicle shut off mid turn. the brakes became stiff, lost the ability to steer the wheel and also lost functionality to my hazards. this morning, i was driving this same vehicle to my local dodge/chrysler dealership and the car once again shut off on me. this time i was in the process of taking off from a red light when the vehicle stopped in the middle of the intersection. again, i lost the ability to even use my hazards. i am going to have it towed to my local dealership within the next few hours.
I bought this vehicle about a year ago when it only had 16k miles on it and i just found out that my vehicle had warped rotors and brakes with now only 27k miles on it. after only having it for a year none of this should be going on with it.
Vehicle shuts off while driving it. car starts back up and running fines. it has shut off going through and intersection. lucky no traffic was coming from any direction. car will start back up every time. have seen lots of complaints about this vehicle and issue.
complaints involving idler pulley and brake system. on june 4, 2017, while driving on the interstate, my steering wheel locked up. i was able to pull to the side of the road and then the car started malfunctioning. it completely died and would not start. i found out from the dealership on june 5, 2017 that the issue was related to the idler pulley crumbling which in-turn caused the serpentine belt to break. on july 9, 2017, i was at a stop light on the i-10 frontage road. when the light turned green, i could not go because the brakes locked up. i had to put the car in park, turn it off and then turn it back on in order for the brakes to loosen up. to say i'm frustrated with dodge is an understatement. during both instances, my 8-yr old daughter was in the car with me. i've only had this car for three years, it isn't paid off and i'm having these problems that could potentially be life threatening. a recall needs to happen with this vehicle!!!

Owned this 'vehicle' for almost a year (13,500 miles - had some miles from dealer). brakes have been replaced twice due to master cylinder and related issues. additional five recalls on top of that - one related but not included in the actual recall because i haven't had an accident... yet....was being unable to disengage the seat belt - on a normal day - every day. i am now on my 2nd senior supervisor at chevrolet telling them to come pick the thing up. naturally chevy's stance is to keep repairing the vehicle - not call it what it is, a bad product and take it back. so, multiple trips to different chevy repair shops, all setup by chevy customer service of course, and quite frankly i prefer the loaner vehicles because at least you don't have to stand on the brakes to keep it from rolling forward...or backward on a hill...or keep two car lengths behind because emergency braking is not an option. trade in value is less than half what i paid, and i'm afraid the next owner might be seriously injured. my grandmother and my son won't ride in it...rest of the family doesn't want to even try after hearing the stories. so, don't buy one of these vehicles. chevy will not stand behind their product, and admit when they manufacture an accident waiting to happen. all vehicles have recalls. i've owned 5 chevy's. never again. actually considering letting them repo the vehicle just to get rid of it. buyer beware.

Ed voyles chrysler dodge jeep ram has failed to remedy the recall of the anti-lock brake system control module for my 2014 dodge journey in a reasonable amount of time. after i was initially notified of the recall, i called to schedule a service to address the problem. i was told at this time that the parts required were not in stock and to check back in a few days. upon calling a second time, i was told that i would be notified when the parts became available. after a month of waiting and no notification, i called for a third time and was told parts were still not in stock and that i would now be placed on a waiting list. ed voyles failed to offer a timeline for resolution nor simply tell me my place on the wait list, stating that it was not numbered.
Hello i have received a recall warning for my vehicle r61 nhtsa 1v-675. today i called a dodge dealership to schedule a repair and was told minimum a month because it take that long to get the part in. i was also told that they do not keep the parts on hand and order when people call to fix the recall. with a recall like this that affects the breaking system and can cause a crash and the driver not aware it a major safety concern. why send out a recall if dodge or chrysler is not going to fix the issue in a more realistic time frame. one month and then take due to schedule is unacceptable. so in the mean time i just pray that i do not have a accident and not harm myself. family, or someone else. chrysler needs to be held accountable. i regret the day i bought this car due to how poorly it is built. now that needs to be investigated as well.

Hello my name is [xxx] and i a single mother of two small children. i have been the owner of a dodge journey for a little over a year and i have already received two recalls on my vehicle. with these risks come serious consequences and i do not feel safe driving my children in this vehicle. i have contacted the dealership and they told me they are unable to provide me with a loaner vehicle. at this time i am highly upset because basically i have to play russian roulette with mine and my children's live every time i drive my only mode of transportation. i do not think it is appropriate for a company to knowingly allow anyone especially children to drive around in a defective vehicle that can at any given moment cause serious injury or even death without providing an alternative until the problem can be fixed. i am very upset and am considering looking into getting a lawyer to defend my rights as a consumer. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
I received recall notice r61/nhtsa 15v-675 regarding my vehicle's anti-lock break system control module. the notice states that the electronic stability control system could be affected. this month i was driving with my 2 young children, stopped at a red light when my electronic control system shut down in my car unannounced, then suddenly turned itself back on. i was nervous because i was driving with 2 small children, so i immediately went home. i was already informed by my dodge dealer that chrysler is not even manufacturing this particular replacement part, so who knows how long it might be before my car can be repaired. when i received notice r32, i drove around for 2 months before my dodge dealer finally called to inform me they had the available part. i have been in contact with chrysler and told them what happened to my vehicle. i was promised a rental car to drive until this part became available, but i was only given a rental car for one day. i am still driving around unsafely because this is my only vehicle, and i don't know when it will be fixed. this recall scares me because it is already showing effects of deformity and affecting my vehicle's control operations and i have 2 kids with me.

Purchased at monroeville dodge pittsburgh pa. my brake calipers had become discolored and i became concerned. i asked the service representative to inspect my brakes and brake calipers. i was informed there was nothing wrong. i did take pictures of the brake calipers on all four wheels and found the discoloration through out the car. i find this unacceptable for a new car and forwarded my complaint to dodge.com. i have yet to receive a recall or notice that my complaint was registered. at thirteen months i had to have my front rotors resurfaced for a fee $125.00. the service manager stated i just missed the one year on brakes on i had to pay. my brake calipers are still discolored now.

I received two recalls on the above vehicle. the first says the engine beauty cover may come loose and come in contact with catalytic converter resulting in a fire. the second has to do with a ground wire on the right front shock of the anti-lock brake module. the wire allows water to wick through into the abs module which can disable the abs and/or the electronic stability control. the lack of functioning abs and/or esc systems could change the braking and/or handling characteristics of the vehicle and cause a crash without warning.
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 dodge journey. while driving at various speeds downhill and depressing the brake pedal, the abs warning indicator illuminated. the contact also stated that the vehicle would hydroplane in the rain. the contact stated that the vehicle exhibited decreased stopping power due to the braking failure. the contact also complained of a loud abnormal humming noise coming from the engine when the vehicle was started. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing, but the failure could not be duplicated. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v675000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic) but was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.
