I was driving down the road and all of a sudden the driver airbag light came on, it would then shut off and then ding and turn back on, it did this for several miles before it just stayed on. another incident that has happened several times is that all the dash indicator lights come on while i'm driving, it puts my car in limp mode, i then have to pull over, shut the car off and then restart it for it to be ok again. this is a real safety concern as well, i could crash and get in a serious accident and i typically have my young kids with me. i searched my vin to see if the recalls have been done and from what i can see they have, so i don't know if this is a reoccurring electrical issue or if this is something new.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. while driving various speeds, the air bag indicator illuminated and remained illuminated. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the clockspring needed to be replaced. the contact called taylor chrysler dodge jeep at 573-364-1233 (located at 705 s bishop ave, rolla, mo 65401) to inquire about the cost of the replacement clockspring. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 163,000.
Recall - #r03 - we never received a notice for this recall.
The horn blows by itself, while driving and while sitting in the garage unoccupied. it has shut off while driving in heavy traffic and i had to put it in neutral to restart it. the aur bag light has come on and apparently in the words of my mechanic "i can't find anything wrong with it". the air and heat stopped working in the back of the vehicle last year. the check engine light goes on and off. i've had it towed to the shop twice because it would not start, just to be told it cranked right up once at the shop and again "i can't find anything wrong with it". it doesn't accelerate like it's supposed to when taking off, jerks and lags, and once accelerated it continues to jerk and lag.
En el tablero se enciende la luz de bolsa de aire durante la conduccin del vehculo
Air bag light is on car electrical system malfunctions engine starts when it wants to. i've already replaced the battery and starter
I would like to file a complaint about the oairbag light staying on and blinking and making noise.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. on several occasions, while driving at low speeds, the vehicle stalled. the contact had to wait a while before the vehicle would function normally. in addition, when unlocking the vehicle, the alarm would sound until the engine was started. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic for diagnostic testing or repairs. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (electrical system, air bags), but the vin was not included. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
I just had to replace the ignition switch, knowing other dodge journeys had a recall, but of course not mine, yet there are so many complaints about electrical issues with my specific model i have no clue why they were not recalled! to add insult to injury this may or may not fix the issues i'm having. my airbag light goes on and off randomly and often leaving my car and family vulnerable. my etc and traction control lights along with my engine light come on randomly and throw my car into limp mode while im on the highway with kids in the car. the lights clear themselves out when i turn the car off then on... so it has been impossible to diagnose but has made me susceptible to break downs and near death experiences. the electrical issues in this car have been many and quite expensive...the latest bill was $750 & most likely did not fix the problem. i will never buy another dodge product. thos is an unreliable vehicle that is quite dangerous to drive!
I bought this vehicle from someone and then i seen there was recall on some of these models i did realize that my passenger air bag doesn't seem to work when someone is in passenger seat it does not register someone is sitting there and it does not ding for them to put on seat belt i am concerned my air bag may not work properly. i put the date for around when vehicle was purchased
Airbag light on without a crash and while driving my car horn goes of without notice
Tamara recall... since i got the car i have been having issues, first air bags, reactions and fuel system and today august 18, 2017 at 4:38am my car shut off while in the high way.
Without warning, the horn starts blaring, whether we are in the car or not. this happens daily! had to take the fuse out that controls the horn! the alarm would start blaring at night and will not go off, wearing the battery down if we do not hear it in the garage, which is not attached to the house. i have read countless other people with the same problem! not having a horn is dangerous, and i'm not sure if the air bag is affected! dodge wants $105 to check the problems, and approximately $400 to repair, per the service manager at the dealership. no help from manufacturer!
