Takata recall el auto tiene problemas para prender y cuando va corriendo empieza a fallar hasta que apaga y luego tarde en prender.y cuando lo pones en drive para arrancar falla y se apaga

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. the contact stated that the vehicle required multiple attempts to start. the failure recurred intermittently. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed, but the cause of the failure was unknown. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 60,000.

The horn/alarm will sound randomly and for no apparent reason, often going down the road or in the middle of the night. the keyfob will lodge in and the entire electrical system is "dead". replaced battery thinking it was battery issue. entire electrical system is "dead" every few days. there is a strange drag/click sound when turning wheel. many other electrical issues that are bizarre and completely random. at times you have to start, kill, restart engine and finally will go in gear. i keep checking for recalls as this appears, through multiple posts i have read, to be an issue with this year model. i can't afford to keep taking to dealerships for issues that clearly are related to the manufacturing of the vehicle.

Takata recall the engine will not start at various times. after about 10 to 20 minutes it will start. the car horn will beep while the car is turned off and there is no key in the ignition. this all happens randomly. the car was stationary.

The key fob was the first thing i noticed,it wouldn't lock/unlock the car, hanged the battery, nothing changed. months later i cannot lock/unlock with the key fob or on the door panel.the car stays unlocked all the time (not good) also the back wiper no longer works..now, the horn...the horn does not stop honking!!! doesn't matter if you're driving or the car is off an parked..... also unsafe. i had to disconnect it and been without for over a yr. i've contacted dodge..seems to be the same story i see online, they are surprised and never heard of anyone having an issue🤔🤔 seems fishy. and let's not forget the engine,it sometimes starts ..sometimes i have to wait for it to kick in. i used to not even be able to turn it on at all and have to shift it in diff. gears to get it to go. i am hoping someone can help.im fed up with dodge.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start without warning. the vehicle was taken to westborn chrysler dodge jeep ram (23300 michigan ave, dearborn, mi 48124 (877) 295-7806) where it was diagnosed, but no failure codes were found. the contact mentioned that the battery was replaced and ground wiring was installed, but the failure persisted. the contact was informed by the mechanic that this was ongoing issue with dodge journeys. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the failure mileage was approximately 70,000.

Driver side front window/locks/mirror controls don't work. rear window controls do work on driver side. locks and passenger window controls work on passenger side. all is exactly as in safety recall k07-front door wiring harness (stopped with model year 2009) so why is my exact problem (2010) shared by so many other 2010s on the internet, too? i am frustrated. mechanic cannot find problem. considering buying a new master switch for driver door-others say replacing it didn't work! it's a known problem-symptoms exact and to the "t"...recall window cutoff too soon!!! was notified of ignition/key fobick recall, thankfully! car occasionally almost dies, chugs, and keeps running. car starts and runs great-intermittent almost dying thing always out of the blue! not notified about high pressure power steering hose leaking problem-just paid to have that replaced. power steering makes terrible noise when turned to right. suspension rattles like a box of bones! what next? i'm getting the sense that this vehicle isn't safe to drive (esp. w/my son in the car)! diagnostics and repair bills and quotes really starting to stack up-the more i look into this 2010 dodge journey regarding my problems, seeing so many others with same exact problems-really surprised that the recall list isn't more than it is! how many people have to live through the same poor quality issues before the manufacturer takes care of these sometimes seemingly pandemic problems??? started before 116,000 miles - now 120,115 miles.

My 2010 dodge journey's engine stalls and i have no power steering or brakes while i am driving. this problem happened first in nov. 2015 with around 68000 miles on vehicle and thought it was a fluke or caused by bad weather. it started to happen several times again march/april 2016. dealership could not find the problem. took it back in to dealership in june 2016, still could not find issue. continued to happen and took it in september for that and other issues (horn going off randomly and battery draining overnight). now dec 2016 and the car stalled while driving 3 times this week and the last time someone almost rear ended me because of it. my life and my children's life are at stake. it has only happened when i am going under 45mph at this point and on some occasions it is while i am slowing down to turn in a parking space but sometimes it is in the middle of the road driving. it has happened in the morning/afternoon/evening, rain, snow and sunshine, hot and cold days. it does not happen everyday which makes this issue even worse i never know when it will occur. the only issue that remains the same is that my traction system light comes on 90% of the time this occurs. i have told this to the dealership every time and they still cannot resolve the issue. i am extremely upset and have several complaints filed with chrysler/dodge headquarters. *tr

Engine shuts down while driving on highway while key is still on,cannot turn steering wheel to get off on side of highway vehicle stop and i got to turn key off and back on to start car again and it stalls during all this in mist of traffic. this happen with no warning, i never know when this vehicle will do this, i have reported to several deal ships( allen samuel alliance texas) is were i purchased this vehicle in 2012, and i brought it back to them many times in 2013-2014 to get it corrected but nothing was done because they said vehicle didn't shut down with them, refuse to get me out of vehicle.they said ignition sticking and stalls was fixed but yet it continues to stick and stalls when starting car. reasonly, in 2015 i took vehicle in for ignition recall but vehicle ignition still is sticking and stalling. i drive my 3 grandchildren in this unsafe vehicle all the time to school and every , because this all the transportation i have. the last times this happen was in october and november 2015, two times each time i was driving down the highway in traffic as manage to qiuckly shift to neutral to get car running as cars was coming up behind me and went around on shoulder of road, it was so very, very scary vehicle is unsafe to drive. please help me get out of this unsafe vehicle before a bad "daster" happen to me and my grandchildren. phone # 985 335 3544. thanks.

Car is shutting off while i am driving with no warning

The vehicle has a very late shift in the transmission. so therefore when getting off ramps to hwys won't pick up the momentum it needs for a mile or two down the road. i see can cause an accident. i was told by the dealership this is normal. i have drove and owned many of cars. i have even had one that had a transmission that was going out and it did better then this car. i am making this complaint because i would hate to see an accident happen due to this very late shift in the transmission.

Tipm was diagnosed as the problem at dealership. car would not start intermittently. recall notice informs a bad tipm could cause many safety problems. the vehicle is unsafe to drive. it has been at the dealership over a month. we used the vehicle for every day transportation family of 6. ultimately i had to buy another car for transportation. no loaner from dealership . i lost use of the vehicle no end in sight. they tell me every day they are waiting on the part.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. while driving approximately 45 mph, the vehicle stalled and the steering ability seized without warning. the vehicle was merged to the side of the road and then it was driven to the contact's residence. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnostic testing. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 64,000.

This is regards to recall r03 on a 2010 dodge journey. i have been a a recall list for many months. my vehicle twice now has shut off while driving for no reason. after having the car looked at and spending money i don't have, it was determined it was due to this recall. i have made calls to the dealer and to chrysler. all i am told is these parts are on restriction and they are sorry but they can not help me to get this taken care of at this time. why is chrysler not concerned about the safety of it's drivers. if this had happened while my son was driving he could have been seriously injured or even killed. what will it take for them to get this taken care of? when i am able to afford another car it will not be a chrysler product of any kind.

My 2010 dodge journey sxt shut down on me 5 time on the highway. at diffent time i took it to the dodge dealer in wilmington nc but they said that nothing is wrong with if nothing wrong with it why did it shut down on me.

Breaks have to be replaced at least every 2 months. my car continues to overheat and we have the thermostat 5 different times. we have to keep turning the key off and on til the car decides to start. i have contacted the people about this and they keep telling me that there is no recall for my vin number. it needs to be added because it is obviously an issue with more than just my car. i will contact an attorney because now that it is out of warranty they tell me i will have to pay to have the issues resolved the start issue is of course stationary the break problem is while driving and so is the over heating issue was driving down the road heard a scraping noise and the front bumper was talking off and the bumper bar was loose. these are apparently very dangerous cars and all should be recalled

Engine stalled while driving causing loss of power steering & power brakes. diagnosis revealed that engine would stall if key was moved slightly. could have caused a serious accident. superstition springs chrysler replaced the win module at a cost of $492.46. how many people have to die or be injured before the manufacturer accepts responsibility, initiates a recall and takes care of the problem at no cost to the vehicle owner?? i believe that chrysler corp should reimburse me for the cost of this repair. *tr

Car stalls while driving and sometimes will not start at all. there is a recall, but the part has been on back order for over 6 months.

This is the worst vehicle i have ever bought. i purchased in 2012, it was a little over 1 year old. multiple issues since then. most recent, i replaced an engine. an engine in a 2010. i took my car to kahlo dodge in indiana. worst dealer service ever. rude and unprofessional. they replaced a cluster and 1 hour later we were back at dodge for the same issue. then the service manager said chrysler supplies defective parts. wow. is this ok to do...we pay thousands for a vehicle and chrysler supplies defective parts??? we take it back and they fix yet again. hours later, you guessed it we are back again and they tell us they can't do anything because they are closed. we take it back this monday after they let us drive off in an unsafe vehicle and they tell us it's the breaks and said it was going to be $700. then they take it apart and say its not that put it back together test drive it and tell us it's the master solenoid and it will be $1000. i have had enough of dodge. i called the helpline only for them to tell me a supervisor will call in 1 business day. 4 business days later i call them back and get a"supervisor" who will "look into " my issues. i am done. filing a law suit, calling local tv stations, enough dodge!!! do the right thing, read these posts and fix these issues. we spend a lot of money on your crappy product only to be gouged over and over. your recalls never end. your service is horrific. maybe yet another class action will solve this. they have so many i am sure one more is expected. i guess doing the right thing in america has ended for the chrysler company!!!

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start on the first attempt. the contact also stated that the vehicle stalled. the contact stated that nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (electrical system) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the part was not available for the remedy. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 92,000.

On my way home from work this evening i have never been so afraid, my car cut off at ever stop sign, i am a single lady have to work evenings this is terrible, i was told the dealer who will be fixing my car the recall parts are not in, please help. *tr

Driving at about 55 the temp out side was about 75-80 and all the sudden the alarm for the engine temp started going off and it went from 1/2 to over heated instantly with steam rolling out from the hood. i'm a firefighter so instantly pulled over jumped out looking for flames and getting my kids and wife out of the car, noticed it was only over heating and let it cool down and drove it to the in-laws let it sit for 3 hours and tried driving it again and less than a mile down the road same thing happened. had the thermostat changed it fixed it for about 3 hours. i called dodge they said they have had complaints of that but not enough to recall them. just build it right the first time. if the 2009 had the same problem don't use the same engine or parts for the next years vehicles. that's only common sense. i would like to take it back and have the ceo of dodge take his/her family for a ride in it and feel safe probably not gonna happen. *tr

Since january 2014 i have taken my vehicle in multiple times to the dealership for intermittent starting issues.it also has a slow crank occasionally this is more random then it not starting. when i try to start it it just clicks. if i wait a few minutes then try to start it again eventually it will start. this car has left me stranded many times and late for work/appointments. the dealership has replaced the tipm fuse box, starter, battery and all key fobs and it still will not start randomly. i have noticed that most of the time when it will not start it is because the car is hot(after being driven for a significant amount of time) or simply just sitting out in the sunlight. when the dealership hooks it up the their machine it does not throw an error code. so they keep telling me "they are scratching their heads they do not know what is wrong and do not know how to fix it" this is not an acceptable answer to me after looking on this website there are multiple complaints for the same issue. chrysler needs to figure it out and put out a recall for it. i have called chryslers customer support multiple times i have had a case open for 4 weeks i have never heard from my case manager just someone calling on her behalf. i can't seem to get anywhere with dodge. i am taking it back to the dealership tomorrow. i have taken it to the dealership every monday for the last 5 weeks. they keep it for 3 or 4 days then send it home with no results.. i am not taking it back from this time without better results. this car is only 4 years old it should be a reliable car. i shouldn't be afraid to take it somewhere. *tr

Getting on ramp to expressway. heard s tapping. engine light didn't come on til i ewas going round 70. now i heard tapping every time i put my foot on gas pedal. took to mechanic he said my engine is tapping. could fix but tapping (ticking) would come back again. a defect in engine. *tr

Car covered under recall 14373000:rq14002...car was repaired before i brought it , but now the problem is happening again. i called chrysler, they agreed to fix it , but said the needed parts were on back order and had no ideal when the need parts (ignition switch and retention ring) would be back instock!!!) chryser said my vin # didn't show up because it had been repaired before i brought it, but they would add me to the list for repair, but they don't know when the parts would be available...i can't drive my car because of the ignition switch and retention ring problems!!! *tr

Have a complaint about my 2010 dodge journey se. for the last two months it has been an ongoing issue. i had the starter replaced, the win module replaced. problem went away for a few weeks. then came back. it has been no starting on and off the last two weeks. everything else works when i turn the ignition. but nothing happens with the engine. august 26th, 2014 i went to pick my son up from daycare. my car wouldn't start. it wouldn't start all evening. then the following day it started and i had my fiance take it because i am nervous and uncomfortable driving my car. after my fiance got out of work the car wouldn't start and he had to leave it at work. it is effecting my work and my personal life. it was smoldering hot out and i was with my son. i can't keep doing this with my car. i don't know if it's a tipm issue, but i also have the suggestion that it's a faulty transmission range sensor as well. please help me. my loan is worth more than the actual car. and my last option is to take it to a dealership in inwood, ny that has a bad reputation for fixing things that don't need to be fixed. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 dodge journey. the contact stated that intermittently the vehicle failed to start. the contact mentioned that eventually the vehicle would resume normal function. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the dealer stated that the starter was defective and would need to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. the failure progressed and the vehicle began to fail to accelerate and sometimes stall while driven at low speeds. the vehicle was taken again to the dealer. the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. the failure mileage was 85,000.

I was sitting at the approach to our driveway with my foot on the brake, waiting to ensure my grandchildren had safely cleared the driveway area. without warning, there was a sound like the car engine revving up, the car starting moving/lunging forward on its own and all attempts to apply the brakes to stop the car failed. i quickly steered toward a tree in my front yard where i chose to crash my car in order to stop its continued acceleration. the cause of the acceleration is unknown. if i had not chosen to hit the tree, the car was headed for my front porch/house where my grandchildren had gone to clear the driveway area. a contractor working on my neighbor's property came to assist me and turned off the car engine. there was a strong burning odor/chemical smell permeating my car after the crash. in spite of the impact, my air bag did not deploy. we called 911, the insurance company and he car was towed to a collision shop. registered a formal complaint to chrysler corporation the night of the crash. *tr

While car is running it just stops. has done it at least 10 times on freeway and on surface streets car just stops running. have to put in neutral and re start it. very dangerous. vehicle is not safe. have taken it to dealer but they tell me they can find nothing wrong with vehicle. *tr

For the past several months the car will simply turn off while we are driving it. so far we've been able to get the car over to the side of the road to re-start it. i noticed there is a recall regarding this problem, but it seems our vehicle isn't included in the recall. i've taken it to two dealerships, but they cannot locate the source of the trouble. i've contacted dodge directly and have been told, again, that our vehicle isn't included in the recall, and that we can't expect the dealership to repair a problem that they can't find the source of. but this problem isn't new and has been identified in the past - why don't they know the source of the problem? this is our family vehicle and we are concerned about the safety of the car - especially considering the latest news coverage of a similar problem in another brand of automobile. *tr

The car turned itself off while in traffic on cary parkway. tried to restart the car by reinserting fob. it took 10 minutes of removing and reinserting fob in ignition before car started. in the meantime, cars behind me almost ran into me. *js

Just like many 2009 and 2010 journey owners, i too have experienced the vehicle not turning over to start. it has happened approximately 2 dozen times in the past 2 months at random. sometimes the vehicle will not start 3 times in one day and then the problem will not occur for another week. once the key is in the ignition and i turn it, i have battery power, it simply will not push through to actually start the vehicle. this is very irritating and i have not been able to duplicate for the dealer so of course they will do nothing for me. i also have noticed that on the freeway, when getting above 60 the steering wheel feels shaking which is quite terrifying and then if i go to break, it feels very wobbly. again, not something that i can reproduce at the dealer and therefore cannot be fixed. i loved my car for the first couple years i owned it, but lately it is not up to par and worries me to drive with my 2 kids in fear of the unpredictable steering issue or being stranded if it decides to not start at all. *tr

Stopped at store for a few minutes to pick some things up. upon getting back in the car, it would not crank nor start. after a few minutes, it started up like nothing had happened. issue has occurred again about a week and a half after the first occurrence. this is a walk-home condition that needs to be addressed. issue is similar to numerous other complaints filed with nhtsa, as well as posted online. *tr

Sometimes the vehicle won't start. it is in the dealership again today. this is the 4th time in the past 2 months. dodge can't figure it out. they have been trying but to no avail. we have figured out if you wiggle the gear shift the car will start after a little while. hopefully dodge will check the sensors in the gear shift during this visit. it is getting old having to keep taking the car back in the shop. dodge has been great with working with us but we still have the problem. *tr
