While in motion (drive) on a city street and expressway the vehicle has shut off on me four different times on 11/24/2019 one week after becoming the new owner. the vehicle also stalled when turning the key fob to start the vehicle numerous times after shutting off. the key fob which turns the vehicle on and off at the slightest touch has abruptly turned the vehicle off while the car is in drive.

All light on cluster come on showing tire pressure system and blind spot system need service. i took car to dealer multiple times and they find no problems. when this problem occurs, all functions in vehicle stop working.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. the contact stated that the vehicle was repaired per an unknown recall regarding the alternator. the contact was informed that the ecm board was faulty due to the damage on the voltage regulator. the following day, while the contact's wife was pulling out of the parking lot, the vehicle's electrical system began to show signs of a low battery. shortly after, the vehicle shut off due to a dead battery. the vehicle was towed to barbera autoland (located at 7810 roosevelt blvd, philadelphia, pa 19152, 215-309-8670) where it was diagnosed that the ecm board failed and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened case number: 68047300. the manufacturer contacted the dealer who stated that the recall part was replaced and the ecm board was not included. the approximate failure mileage was 88,000.

For weeks my 2013 durango sxt won't lock when pressing the key fob and sometimes when i unlock the car, the horn goes off several times, as if i'm locking the car. i've replaced the battery in the fob, so not sure why it's not working properly. my liftgate lock stopped working for a month and recently started working. my check engine light is on and the car randomly has a delay in starting. i'm reading that it could be a fuel pump relay and the 2013 durango has a recall for it, but my vin isn't included in the recall even though it had a tipm recall that was repaired, which is closely associated with the fuel pump relay recall.

The vehicle has shut off while driving a few times. had to start it back up. once, it shut off then turned right back on. no lights on, warnings nothing.

I had come to a complete stop at the traffic light on hhwy 138 on jonesboro road in union city, ga. on oct. 4, 2019 vehicle electrical system shutdown in front of a busy intersection. this is the second occurrence last report filed in july 2019 in mobile, al. i had to direct traffic away from turn lane to keep from getting hit i was traveling alone that day until the police got there. union city police dept was called to help push me out the street to the nearest parking lot.

Prior a few years ago recall on fuel pump relay same problem again. already filed report in system. truck shut down at traffic light system failure. i was stopped at the light.

Wife drove vehicle with no issue, and after arriving home - with 3 children in the vehicle; while stationary (in park) & vehicle running (while kids finishing watching a video), she heard a 'terrible squeeling sound'; she sequentially closed sunroof, turned off a/c, and lowered sound level of stereo - sound persisted. she turned car off, then back on - smoke began to bellow out of the engine compartment. a fire extinguisher was discharged through grill area by a family member (who is a certified emt/fire fighter, if that matters), who did not want to open the hood. i arrived ~15 minutes later, and opened the hood and the alternator was clearly smoking, and the serpentine belt was discolored on the alternator pulley. called auto service for tow. when wrecker arrived, i attempted to put car in neutral, but no actuation of the shifter would work - as no power; tow service had to use the bypass. vehicle taken to dealership. i did some cursory research on this phenomenon, found an outstanding recall for this issue (t36); i called following day to make recall claim. fca "special investigator" did an investigation on 9/10, i have not heard from them - and i have called no fewer than 4 times inquiring. dealership service manager informed me late yesterday he received approval to perform work on the two (2) outstanding recalls on vehicle, but not covering damage due to the fire - at least that is what was relayed to me.

Vehicle is stationary. vehicle sometimes cranks but will not start. happens periodically. cannot hear fuel pump running before enabling start sequence. must turn ignition off and wait a few minutes before attempting to restart. usually starts on the second or third try.

Im here in alabama from ga, car system lights up like a christmas tree completely shutdown in the middle of a busy intersection while driving trying to make a left turn on government blvd in mobile, al.

In reference to recall t36 on 2011-2014 dodge durango for alternator malfunction. my vehicle is at dealership for repairs and the total is 1296.19 and the chrysler corp does not want to paid for the repairs because my vin is not under that recall but my vehicle is the same make and model of the recall. eariler complaint on 7/8/19.

While driving the radio freezes while using the navigation and gos system. system will not restart unless the vehicle is turned off and reset.

The battery and alternator are brand new, but the battery keeps getting empty either the alternator that mopar replace is bad, or the voltage regulator doesn't work.

Same as feb 2015 recall. fuel relay replaced june 2019. as of july 9 2019 back in shop for tipm issues and replacement. after 4 days and a 3hr diagnostic study it was determined that the timp would need to be replaced and possible other modules. vehicle originally had starting problem. once fuel relay was replaced that ended. then vehicle started but all dash lighting and error messages started flashing stating fcw was off, showed hill ascent indicator, showed brake indicator neither were on, showed service engine indicator and others. wipers would randomly swipe even though they were off. warning bell would randomly ding as if the seat belt was not fastened. it was. headlights would randomly flash and the doors would unlock (this problem has been happening for 3-4 yrs but service would say to check key fob battery or possible interference of something else. did drive vehicle to work approx 4 miles and home the first day of problem. next day vehicle went straight to dealership approx 8 miles away. still there 4 days later. not repaired. apparently my vin is not part of original recall and now i will have to pay a minimum of $1560.00 for repairs in addition to the $472.00 i spent on the fuel relay.

Car stalls out. noticed there were recalls for alternator but doesnt come up on your website. do recalls expire. wife was driving on residential street when car stalled. she was able to get it started. happened twice in last month

I have 2013 dodge durango sxt and i bout it from mike alberts dealership in cincinnati, ohio. a little over a year i bought it, it started having issues with the truck cutting off when i hit bumps. the headlights keep going out, i have to replace the the bulbs and then finally replaced the harness that house the bulbs because the original one was fried. over time the ones that i bout are beginning to burn as well causing the bulbs to go out. when i take the truck back to the dealership, they say they have can't figure out what the issue is when it comes to the truck cutting off. it's a safety hazard for my family driving that truck and i'm sure it wouldn't look nice on y'all end if i was to get into an accident with this vehicle if it stalls on me.

I have a 2013 dodge durango, took it to the dealership and they told me i have an electric problem.. for this truck to only be 6 years old and fully loaded im not understanding why its a problem so big... the lights went out without any warnings.

Forward collision warning (fcw) off light going on causing transmission to down shift gears while driving; causing you to have to come completely turn off the vehicle to stop the issue from happening. it appears a faulty sensor is tripping the transmission/electrical issue.

I was driving and the vehicle completely shut off without warning. there are no lights on, on the dash and it is not giving off any codes. the vehicle has shut off three times now. the first time in january, i had just got off of the highway and began to travel again. the truck turned off when i got up to around 25-30 miles per hour. the second time in march, i had stopped and started to travel again and was going about 25 miles per hour coming up an underpass.and the third time was yesterday. i was driving up a city street going about 40 miles per hour and the truck shut off. there was no one on the side of me. it felt like there was no power steering. i was able to wrestle the steering wheel to move to the side of the road. the truck coasted and stopped. i could not press the brake!!!! each time the vehicle shut off was when i was coming off of a stop and bringing the vehicle back up to speed, except yesterday it shut off once i was up to about 40 miles per hour. the vehicle shut off, i was unable to steer the truck as if it had no power steering and i could not press the brakes. i was able to wrestle the truck over and restart it. this is a serious issue. i reported it to dodge today and they said there are no open recalls on this issue and to take it back to the dealer. however, i searched online and there are numerous similar complaints. something needs to be done before someone dies.

While driving my car is continuously shutting off. i lose power steering and need to put the vehicle in park and restart it. the first time i was coasting at 45 mph the car display controls when off and turned back on. the second time i was turning into a parking stall and the car died mid park at which point i had to manually restart. the most recent time i was driving my kids to school and the car died while going 35 i had to pull over to the shoulder (with no power steering) and restart the engine. the music and headlights remained on while the engine was off. the car starts right up without hesitation and the local dodge delearship is not finding a code to properly detect the problem their best guess is to replace the tipm in hopes it will fix the problem. i need a safe reliable car and not one that is as risk of dying mid drive and causing an accident hurting my family or others.

Car has issues starting. starter is cranking, no fuel to fire the car. car has 1/2 tank of gas.

My durango suddenly lost all power twice while driving between 35-55 mph. once heading to a stop sign and once on the far left side of highway. i have had to quickly pull over to the side of the road, i attempted numerous times to restart it. prior to that, often times you would turn the key and the dash lights would come on and the car would do nothing...not even turn over. after a few attempts, it would start. i need to get this fixed. i have 116k miles and this has happened two me twice in the last three weeks.

My vehicle stalls while driving in traffic on a city street. however, the vehicle starts right back while it's coming to a slow roll. i try to crank it will rolling to prevent an accident. i have had the vehicles battery, alternator, starter, and fuel system checked. the ignition switch was replaced in the vehicle because the vehicle push start button gets stuck and a new keypad was programmed for the vehicle. the vehicle stalls while in motion at any giving moment.

I have a 2013 dodge durango. i purchased this vehicle in october 2018, and soon after i started experiencing the problem. on may occasions while driving the vehicle randomly turns off, all electrical inside the vehicle goes blank, power steering goes out as well. it has happened while stopped, pulling off from a stop light, on side streets, and on highways. there doesn't seem to be a specific time this happens. i have taken the vehicle into the auto shop, and to the dealership. both have said without a code or being able to replicate the issue they can't do anything. the issue happens randomly, so i don't see how it can be replicated so easily. this is very dangerous, and could be deadly. i have a 9 week old baby that i can't have in the vehicle, because i fear for her safety.

Drove vehicle 10 miles to location. parked vehicle, turned it off. returned to vehicle 2 hours later. entered vehicle, put foot on the brake, pushed the start button. vehicle started as usual and then immediately stalled. i tried several times, with the same results. after waiting a few minutes, i tried again, and the vehicle started normally, and continued to run. this has happened to me approximately 6 times over the last 3 years. the key fob has a fresh battery, so that is not the problem. the problem usually happens when the vehicle has been driven and turned off. never from a cold start. driving distance doesn't make a difference either. first time it was less than 1/4 mile from home, next couple of times it was 10 miles from home. no real pattern, other than its a second start of the vehicle. when starting, all the vehicles normal start-up information is displayed, the radio works, headlights are on, etc. the display does not show that there is a problem with the vehicle. all seems normal except for the start and immediate shutdown.

Car shuts off while driving. new alternator, new starter, new battery and the problem still occurs. car shuts off completely, wheel tightens up. this is not when the car is idle, it's when the car is moving. dangerous and deadly.

Dodge durango 2013- 78,000 miles: on multiple occasions while driving our 2013 durango it just shuts off. all inside electrical devices go blanks and we lose power steering. we have documented dates of when this has occurred and it can be 5 minutes into the drive or 45 minutes on a busy highway. we have had it the garage multiple times and they continue to tell us without a code they can not diagnose any issues. this has been happening since june 2018. we reported this issue to dodge. they suggested we go to the garage for a diagnosis. we tried again on 12/26/18 to get a diagnosis and they again could not find anything wrong with the vehicle without a code. as my husband proceeded to drive away from the garage, it shut off again. he went back into the garage and they said they couldn't find any codes. so we continue to pay for garage visits with no answers. we are now afraid to drive our only vehicle because it shuts off completely while driving. it is completely dangerous to be driving down a busy highway and you lose your power steering or if you are pulling out of an establishment and lose power in front of other cars. we paid a lot of money for this car and have taken care of it with regular oil changes and garage visits. this seems like a major safety issue and dodge should be concerned that someone may be hurt or killed.

In november 17, 2016 a recall campaign 15v-115 was issued. my durango was serviced by dealer due to this recall. recently i took the vehicle to the triangle dealers in puerto rico, with the same issue. they wanted to change the fuel pump, because this was the diagnostic of the mechanic. i did not agreed with the diagnostic because i had already verified that when i moved the cables of the relay they installed, the vehicle turned on again. i picked up my durango at the dealer on the december 24, 2018. now the durango has the same problem, it actually stalled will driving almost causing me to have an accident on the 25th. my complain is the the relay installed in these vehicles are not the solution. i've research other vehicles owner who have had the same problem occurring over time again, as i am right now.

Sometimes in trying to start, turning the key results in no response whatever from the engine. a second or third attempt is necessary. have also had several problems with stalling while driving. recently i was driving at 30 mph and a total loss of power happened, i coasted it trying to turn into a parking lot then the engine came back to life and i was able to drive home. we have had a similar problem 2 years ago, except it was just non-starting intermittenly. had it towed several times. after they tried replacing the tipm (and this had already been replaced in a recall) they found it was a faulty fuel pump. now more problems.

T36 recall. driving down a busy street, battery light illuminated for a second, wipers stopped working, car immediately shut off. key stuck in ignition. went to try and have care jump started, did not work. felt cables from battery and alternator both hot. towed to dealership. dealership diagnosed stating recall for alternator, pcm fried. dealership is stating not related. called fca group who stated dealer would have to call them. dealer states not related, no outcome. having vehicle towed away as dealer is quoting me $1100.00 for repairs to pcm. during fault, intersection was very busy main streets, infant in car seat cars 1 car was close to hitting vehicle. very unsafe. unable to put car in gear, had to have police behind car as hazards would not work. power to vehicle not on.

Around january of 2018 my 2013 durango r/t 4wd low light starting blinking while driving on the highway, pulled over to try and get it to turn off by placing in neutral and turing off. this fixed it and began to drive again on the highway and the light turned back on, no check engine light ever came on. took the truck to one of the local dodge dealerships and they stated that the vehicle was in working condition and meeting manufacture specification. then again in august 2018, my transfer case started to make a ticking noise and would engage into low by itself when taking turns and no dash light warning. this time i took it to a local driveline shop and they identified that the transfer case needed to be rebuilt and that it burnt out the transfer case motor. the transfer case would not engage in 4wd low by using the switch but would engage on its own. still, no check engine light or notification that the transfer case motor was in operational. additionally, when i took the truck in for the 4wd low issue, i had them look at the rpm gauge and radio. the rpm gauge would just bounce and hesitate when accelerating and the radio would just change stations by itself. after inspection by the local dodge dealership, they stated that they see the issue with the rpm gauge and radio, but since the vehicle is meeting all manufacture specification they are unable to do anything.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. while driving at a slow speed, the contact heard an abnormal popping sound coming from the engine and smoke billowed from under the hood. the contact opened the hood and noticed smoke coming from the alternator. the vehicle was towed to larry h. miller dodge ram tucson (located at 4220 e 22nd st, tucson, az 85711, (520) 395-9311) to be repaired. the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 17v435000 (electrical system). the vehicle was currently being repaired. the manufacturer was contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 108,000. *dt*jb

Estaba parado con el motor encendido y el alternador empez a arderse y proboco problemas electricos

Vehicle turns off when driving. vehicles losses complete electricity/power while driving.

My car started to stall. i had the battery replaced but it still stalled, ended up having it towed to a dick poe dodge dealership the next day, 10/6/18...had to rent a car 10/8/18 because they still couldn't find it and apparently it was the fuel pump relay. this part was a recall in 2015 but they said since it's been past 2 years since it was replaced i had to pay this time. my complaint is why is it my responsibility to pay a recall replacement if it is still breaks even though i just bought the car last year. highlight, my engine light came back on so now i have to take it back first thing in the morning.

2013 dodge durango. consumer writes in regards to alternator diode thermal fatigue safety recall. *ld *tr

I bought my vehicle brand new. on several occasions it refused to crank. i completed the recall on the fuel pump & alternator. however, this weekend it began having the same problem. then sunday it completed stop. i was told my tow company, this an ongoing problem with dodge. why have them been made to fix this issue.

While driving, the ignition switch may fail and think that the key has been removed. this results in a total loss of power and the engine cutting off. the result is very limited steering and braking capability. this happened more than 6 times and included 4 visits to the dealer before they could identify why it was shutting off randomly. this is a safety issue and should be recalled.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled. the contact mentioned that it took several attempts to restart the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an unknown local dealer where it was serviced under nhtsa campaign number: 15v115000 (electrical system); however, the remedy failed to repair the vehicle. the contact mentioned that the vehicle still stalled after the recall repair. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 106,000.

I was never sent a recall notice for my vehicle to start, my wife was driving the vehicle when it lost all power and the alternator caught fire. my vehicle is currently at pelligreno jeep in woodbury heights, nj. i have been in constant back and forth with fca the agency that is handling the recall they are refusing to give me a loaner and are pushing back on covering some of the repairs. this happened over 5 weeks ago and it is effecting our home and professional lives.i have been routinely lied too and hung up on, we are asking for assistance, my contact number is (xxxxx). the vehicle was in motion traveling on state road. parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

The tipm has caused my vehicle to stall. my window wipers come on automatically and the fuel gauge has gone down to no fuel even when there is fuel in there. all the dash lights come on in the vehicle while in motion. horn is honking as well as alarm all while driving. hazards lights as well.

For months now, i have had to complain to my dodge dealer where i purchased my 2013 dodge durango and get it serviced about how it suddenly stalls while driving. i have associated it with hitting a bump such as a pothole or going over railroad tracks and it will die out and i have to put it in park. it will then start right back up. it has happened on city streets as well as highways. no codes are showing up and battery and alternator check out fine. cables all have a good connection and fuses are said to be good. i get told "have to wait until it gets worse" or "you'll have to leave it with us so we can drive it and wait for it to do it" but this is my only vehicle and it may do it numerous times one day and will never do it again over the next month. it's random. i have noticed there was an alternator recall on 2011-14 yr makes of the durangos but my vin shows mine is clear and the fuel pump relay recall has been fixed. something is definitely not right.

While driving on the freeway with my son, the electrical system shut down causing the vehicle to lose all power. without touching the keys or anything, the vehicle seemed to "reboot" and started operating normal again as i pulled over. this seems to be the exact problem outlined by the multiple recalls issued by fca on the alternator (recall 17v435000 and recall 14v634000) however, they refuse to service my alternator or even check the part number of the alternator to confirm if it is an affected part!!! i do not have another car and live in constant fear that this issue is putting myself and my children in danger every day!!!

I had an electrical fire in the headliner behind the passenger sun visor today 7/18/18. my vehicle was repaired prior in 2014 related to the recall concerning this wiring. shortly after starting the vehicle and driving, smoke started rolling out from behind the headliner. i pulled into an auto shop and they located the source of the fire.

I've had a few recalls on the truck. several listed wiring. they've all been 'corrected' or checked by a dealer. my truck caught fire and burned all the electrical under the hood today. less than a month since the 'electrical' recall was supposedly repaired. it was stopped but running at a gas station after a short 3 minute drive. *tt

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 dodge durango. after replacing the headlamp bulbs several times, the contact was informed that the wiring harness to the headlamp was melted and needed to be replaced. the contact also stated that the turn signal switch melted and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was taken to georgia chrysler dodge jeep (located at 12114 us-301, statesboro, ga 30458, (912) 871-7250) to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that there was no wiring failure and no failure with the vehicle. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 167,000.

My suv stalls at least once a week, though it never completely shuts off or stops. it usually occurs when i am coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop. it has been happening for the last year
