Drivers side air bag warning light is illuminating off and on. due to the serious nature of the recall and inability to have it repaired i will no longer be able to drive the vehichle. how long do we have to wait for a resolvement?
I am merely reaching out to you due to continuous ads about recalls on my particular make of automobile. i would like to know what the proper procedure would be to get the housing and/or airbag replaced?
While operating the vehicle i noticed the airbag light had come on for no reason. i remembered the notification to contact someone about this recall. i was only a few minutes from home so nothing serious happened. also, two days prior to driving it today i had it parked at my moms while we drove out of town, so maybe the excessive heat had something to do with it.
I have contacted dodge about the airbag recall and all they tell me is the parts are not available for this vehicle and keep pushing back the date they say it will be available. what the use of having a vehicle that can potentially be dangerous for my family and i this has been going for a little while now how are they not force to fix all the vehicles right away. is it because its an american vehicle and not foreign vehicle smh.

I received two safety recall notices from chrysler for my vehicle - recall notices are p40/nhtsa 14v-354 and p78/nhtsa 14v-770, both dealing with an apparent defect to the airbag inflators. we have now checked with three dodge dealers in the greater san antonio area to get this safety recall handled. every dealer has indicated they do not have the parts in stock, chrysler has not released the parts and/or chrysler will not allow the dealers to special order the parts. this has been ongoing for several months. therefore, i am filing a complaint at this time. it seems to lack common sense for a vehicle manufacturer to issue a safety recall notice, then fail to provide the parts required to address the safety defect. please advise what action, if any, can be taken to remedy this issue.

I was notified of an airbag recall on my vehicle approximately 2 weeks ago but the letter indicated i could not call to schedule maintance prior to 2/23. i started calling first thing that monday. all 6 dealerships i contacted either take my info and say they will call me back or say they don't have any parts to correct the issue and i should check back in a couple of weeks. i have received no return phone calls from the ones that said they will get back with me. my only option is to continue driving a possible death trap for no telling how long. not to mention there's been that possibility for the last 11 years. this is ridiculous and unacceptable. *js
