Problems with 2014 Dodge Dart ENGINE

On average, the 2014 Dodge Dart starts to “feel” problems with the ENGINE and its various aspects after 40 309 miles.

Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2014 Dodge Dart

On numerous occasions i have gotten into my vehicle, started it and drove off. now, if i do not let it warm up for a few minutes and get in and start it and take off, it will stall out when i slow down or come to a stop on a few occasions this has happened leaving my driveway on a blind hill, almost getting me hit in the drivers door. yesterday, 2/12/2020, this again happened and it stalled out on me two times, once while turning around leaving me sideways across the road. it has happened at very busy intersections, it is just random.i feel it needs to be looked into. i did look it up and see numerous people are reporting the same issues. last time this happened was on 2/12/2020 while leaving my driveway each time, the car was in drive when it stalled and pulling out of my driveway or intersection.

Every morning after i start my car i drive down the street and it stalls mid traffic. it does it multiple times. i have to drive around my neighborhood til vehicle stalls 4-5 times then drives ok. safety issue. i have noticed that some of the cars have been recalled but not mine

Car is burning oil causing it to stall.

Starting at around 50,000 miles my vehicle has constant problems with the engine over heating. i bought it into the shop in august for this problem. they replaced some clamp and said that was the problem. in september the car was overheating again. i noticed the coolant was very low so i filled it and that seemed to work. then in october the engine too hot light came on, again. i brought it back to the shop. they replaced the radiator cap and said that was the problem. then one week later the engine light comes on for a cylinder 2 miss fire. i get that repaired and then the very same day the engine too hot light comes on. refill the coolant again. there does not appear to be a leak and no one can seem to find any internal problems or signs of internal leaking yet the car just keeps over heating and now its just a guessing game as to when it happens again. every time it has happened it has been at different amounts of movement. the first time i was stationary. the second time i was going slow. the third time was on the highway.

First of all, when steering to turn there is a cracking noise. it gives the feeling that the steering system is gonna break. second main problem is that car shuts completely down with no reason when breaking. this just happen to me this morning. i was stoping because of a red light and the car shut down there. i could not turn it on after a few minutes min while i was complete stopped in the middle of the road. this is pretty dangerous if it happens while driving in the freeway...

My dodge dart has an issue where the battery light will turn on and then the car will turn off while it is in use. this issue began around 1 year ago and has been sporadically happening since then. my mechanic exchanged my battery but the issue persisted and he has been unable to find a cause. upon doing some research this is a common problem with dodge darts. when the oil gets low the car will shut off when in use without an indicator light showing the oil is low and despite the oil life percentage not being critically low (it was 17% the most recent time it happened to me). this is extremely dangerous because it happens abruptly and the steering locks up while the car is shutting off.

This has now happened 3 times and has been taken to a mechanic every single time to get fixed. every single time i am driving, i slow down to turn around a corner, my engine completely stops, vehicle speed slows down, everything else works fine. will not restart, needs jumped every single time. each time i've been left in the road hoping not to get hit. i've read multiple complaints about this everywhere. if an accident or a bigger problem comes out of this, i will be suing. i've already spent hundreds of dollars on this problem. somebody needs to do something about this before my bank account or my car is wrecked.

Care starts overheating while the coolant is full and all other components are working. i have taken my vehicle to be repaired multiple times for the overheating and there is no sign of damage to be repaired. also occasionally the oil seems to disappear from the engine with no leak or visible damage.. car will occasionally stall out as well while i am driving. the car is in the shop and no one can tell me what is wrong with it. i have been driving 3 times and the car will turn off which is dangerous. the drive is extremely rough and is very uncomfortable it bangs really loud with any small bump. car has a bunch of flaws and i have had it less than 2 years.

The car started randomly shutting off, at a stop or wouldn't start all together. after about a week of random stalling and shut offs, i took it to a mechanic. he said that it has a manufacturers defect where the car thinks it has low oil, it doesn't even have to be low. have been adding oil and checking consistently for about a month and recently it refused to turn on. got a jump and the car started. had the battery and alternator checked at auto parts store , car started up no problem, and both were fine, battery fully charged. not more than 10 minutes after testing the car would not turn on. jumped it and it started, drove home. again, tried to start it a few hours later and nothing, needed another jump. used a scanner to check for computer issues and nothing came up. after driving the car about 10 miles, shut it off and again needed a jump. the car seems to just shut off or not start for no real reason. one mechanic could not figure out the issue, the other had it a couple of weeks before blaming the oil issue and now this. no recalls on this car, already checked the vin number. not sure what to do about this car at this point without spending more on it than it is worth. 2014 dodge dart, 98,000 miles

Issue #1: brakes when attempting to come to a stop (whether it be a red light, a stop sign, or a sudden stop due to heavy traffic on the highway) the brakes fail to fully grasp making me susceptible to ramming the person in front of me from behind. issue #2: engine? on two separate occasions, the car has suddenly just shut off while driving. there is no prior warning to this occurring. engine just completely shuts off and that leads me to sudden misses in being hit from both incoming traffic and traffic from behind. battery is brand new so that is not the issue, especially since the car will eventually start after several attempts. i took it to my local mechanic who was unable to duplicate the issue. first time it happened was in august 2018, the past time it happened was november 2018.

Vehicle engine shakes for no reason, back camera doesn't work. i wasn't able to shift my vehicle until a part was bought that would allow vehicle to change gear. suspension went out on front and back around 50000 miles til this day car shakes on a regular basis

The entire car is shaking. the car is rough idling. i had my foot all the way on the gas and it wouldn't go above10 miles per hour. this happened before and the dealership fixed it and said the cylinders were misfiring

Went to get in my car and the alarm system activated and it will not start. also the motor consumes oil at an alarming pace to the point i have to take oil with me when i go anywhere. because if i don't it will get low and the car will lose all power while i'm driving down the road. this is unsafe and needs to be fixed asap especially since i have kids. car still will not start

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 dodge dart. while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating while the accelerator pedal was depressed. the driver discovered that the transmission shifter had erroneously switched from the drive position into neutral. the contact indicated that the failure occurred on two separate occasions. also, while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. the vehicle was towed from the scene. the failures were not diagnosed or repaired. the local dealer (frank fletcher dodge, 5922 warden rd, sherwood, ar) and the manufacturer were notified of the failures. the failure mileage was 99,000.

Vehicle stalls while moving for no reason, several dash lights come on

Car keeps stalling on road and not starting. this is an issue that needs to be rectified. several others have reported the issues as well as far back as 2016. dodge needs to do something on behalf of customers to clear this horrible safety hazard.

While driving my vehicle, it stalled. while driving! completely shut off. lost powering steering, brakes. battery light came on, but lights and radio was still on. tried to start it up multiple times until finally at the fifth try it stated and drove like nothing ever even happened.

About two to three weeks ago my breaks completely went out. i was driving and all of a sudden my foot was to the ground and my car was barely stopping. took it to a shop and they told me my break line snapped and the fluid contaminated my breaks. needed to replace everything on the front end (breaks, pads, break line, etc.) fast forward to about two weeks agoi'm backing out of a driveway onto a main, super busy road, i shift into drive and my car dies. i press the gas and my car won't move. i had to turn my car off and on again in the middle of traffic to get it to start up. this happened again a couple days later as i was backing out of my own driveway. backed out perfectly fine, put it into drive and it dies. won't move when you press on the gas. turn the car off and then back on and it drives again. finally, today (august 23) i backed out of my driveway and put it in drive. nothing bad happened then, but as i was coming up to a light and slowing down to turn, my cars battery light comes on and it won't go faster when i hit the gas. i pull into the auto repair shop that was there (thankfully) stopped the car and turned it off. when i tried to start it this time, it wouldn't start. i gave the guys at the shop my keys and info and just got a call that my car had no oil and they think it shut down to a safety feature. but my car was telling me i still had a 23% oil life. there were no warnings prior to the car shutting down. i do not feel safe in this car anymore, especially since i use it to deliver in and i commute to school. i never know when the next time it's going to stall out. and i don't want to get into an accident. especially when i'm on the clock at work.

Engine shuts off while slowing down to turn or stop at stop sign or light. no warning lights before engine shuts down. call dodge dealer, was told to check oil and that it was common for dodge darts that oil was very low or empty and car would do that. check and oil was empty or basically empty. oil warning light did not come on even after engine shutdown this happened a couple of times in one week the last time i was almost hit from the rear i find this to be a very serious situation. i have no oil leaks so engine must have burned oil i still had 600 miles left to oil change. oil light did not come on when it should have an engine should never shut down well still in motion!

The car stalls while driving and does not restart immediately. the dealer changes my oil every 5,000 miles. it appears to stall every 3-4,000 miles. the solution for the dealer now is to bring my car in every 1,000 miles. this seems excessive and is not a solution to this dangerous problem? sometimes the engine turns off when i'm in traffic or traveling on a busy street. this has been happening since i purchased the car new in 2014. it's only been serviced by the dealer.

As driving down the road after about a mile from home my car would no longer move but glide along. the engine was shut off and i had no control over speed. you can step on the gas and it will not move. rpm's drop and the motor turns off in drive. after this happens the car hesitates to start but will. there is no check engine light on and all statistics for the car were as they should be. the battery is showing correct voltage. the cause is unknown.

I bought a used 2014 dodge dart act in september 2017, in late december early january i brought car in to the dealership because it kept stalling out. they looked at it and said it was because the oil was low. fast forward to may. i'm on the way to the store and my car stalls out while i'm driving with my 4yr daughter in the car. i got it started back up after a few mins but it stalled out after a min. then again later in the night 3 more times in less then a quarter mile. this apparently is an ongoing issue amongst other dadge dart owners. this problem could kill people and dodge is doing nothing to rectify the situation.

If i brake within 5 minutes of starting my vehicle, the next time i brake all of the dashboard lights will flash on, the battery light will stay on, and the car will stall. after waiting 5 to 10 minutes the car will start again. this happens within a week of when my car needs an oil change. this happened 10/24/2017, 10/25/2017, and 5/17/2018.

This is the third time this has happened. the engine will stall randomly while driving. the same issue happened again today. this has happened to a lot of people, but still no recalls. this is extremely dangerous. when the engine stalls, you loose power steering and brakes. this can cause a major accident. luckily, it's only happened on low rpm. this issue needs to be looked into and fixed.

Crossing a busy road to the middle turn lane my 2014 dodge dart stalled out and had a complete loss of power, leaving me in the middle of the road and i was almost tboned. i was quickly able to start the vehicle again to get into the middle turn lane where the car stalled out again. after several attempts i was able to start the car and turn around to head back home and off the road. while driving 100ft the car was still jerking as it was about to stall yet again. i get the car home and leave it parked to call the dealership. the only thing they kept asking me about or were concerned about was my oil and if i had been doing my oil changes. so, they obviously were aware of this issue with the engine failure and the oil. i told the dealership that i have complete documentation of every oil change having been done on time, every time and that i wasn't even due for my next oil change. the service department of the dealership still suggested i check my oil level. i check my oil and it's so low that nothing is on the dip stick, my engine was dry of oil without my oil pressure sensor ever having gone off and zero oil in my driveway. i called immediately and had the car towed to the dealership as it's a very dangerous problem and still under the powertrain warranty. the next day the dealership calls me to inform me that the information i have them was correct that there was no oil in my car, no oil leaks and no residue of oil to be found! they then proceeded to tell me that they've filled it with oil and i'm required to continue driving this dangerous vehicle that already almost had me tboned for another 1,000 miles to do an oil consumption test before chrysler will possibly approve me for a new motor that is still covered under the powertrain warranty. i was also told that they are aware of the issue of the motor just burning the oil in this car and that it's dangerous.

Car stalled in the middle of a public street several times and wouldn't start at times before it finally just left me stranded. during these times there was no error on the screen letting me know what the problem was so i just kept trying to drive it. then after awhile the check engine light turned on a few times but it was at random times and did not stay on. the car only has 18000 miles and i've only had it for 2 years. the dealer replaced the battery but did not check to see what was causing the battery to die so quick. they just told me that i don't drive it enough and that i stop and start it too much because i work too close to home... (this is not my first car and that's never happened before). this was not the first time i had this car serviced. the entire first year i kept getting an error that the tire pressure was too low and i was told that it was just an issue with the computer system but i had to replace the tires right away on a brand new car. so it's also had issues with the tires/wheels on a brand new car. people buy new cars to avoid these problems!

Car was warm, not hot or cold - just started driving. at a stop, car engine died (all lights were on, stereo playing). tried restarting, car turned over, but would not start.

The car loses power and shuts off. the oil has to be topped off every 60 to 90 days or the car will not run or will shut down while driving on the expressway. when the vehicle comes to a stop, it may may not start at all. over the past year, i have had to have it towed 4 times. the last tow to the dealership cost over $500.00 for parts relative to the transmission.

When my car in the winter time warms up the fan doesn't work unless i open up my engine hood and it cools down now this can be anywhere from 2 minutes me running my car attendance doesn't matter when i turn on the air-conditioning it shakes my whole car i am told it is nothing i don't believe it my transmission when i press on the gas because very slow and jerks a whole car and emotion i told them about this since i had the car and my brakes on the first car that i had my brakes went out and it after i kept complaining about it for six weeks and then they traded me for the 2014 dodge dart my car has 22500 miles on it none of this should be happening when i take it to my dodge dealership they think that it's nothing in pretty much tell me i got what i paid for i'd like to know if there's been other complaints about the engine transmission and the brakes not to mention a whole lot of other things that i don't even want to go into it says below to put down a date i'm going to put down a date for this is just an ongoing thing always

Dodge dart uses 1quart of oil 1,000 miles #2 does not shift in corect gear #3 rubbing in the frount end when stearing.

This is the second time this has happened. the engine will stall randomly while driving. the first time it happened, we had to have it towed to the dealership. they said it was a sensor covered under warranty. ok good. well a few days after, the problem happened again. this time they say it's because the oil needed to be changed. the hud showed over 50% oil life left. the same issue happened again a few days ago. the problem seems to resolve after an oil change. i've noticed this has happened to a lot of people, but still no recalls. this is extremely dangerous. when the engine stalls, you loose power steering and brakes. this can cause a major accident. luckily, it's only happened on surface streets. this issue needs to be looked into and fixed.

My vehicle has stopped on two occasions while i was driving it. this is very dangerous and is an obvious safety concern. when i pulled out the oil stick there was absolutely no oil. this happened the second time as well. i took it into the dealership and did an oil consumption test. the oil went down about half a quart in 1000 miles. they sent me away and said that this was acceptable.the engine only holds about four quarts this is ridiculous and i will never make it into my next oil change without the car shutting off. the car shuts off due to a safety reaction to stop the engine from being damaged due to low oil. i have not made it to my oil change since i have been refilling the oil. dodge's guidelines say it is "acceptable" for the 2.4 engine to burn 1 quart every 750 miles. that is all the engine oil in the engine since it only holds 4 quarts every 3,000 miles. my oil change won't be due any time close to then. please do something about this. there are countless complains and threads of citizens with this safety concern. i am worried of when the car will stop on me again.

The car was dying at lights, onramps, offramps, just basically anytime the oil sloshed around enough to lose oil pressure and shut off. after 4k miles, 40% oil life left according to the monitor, the oil doesn't even register on the dipstick, had to add 2-3 quarts. went to dodge dealership, dealt with chrysler case #'s and reps, was promised a fix and never got it. oh yeah, the dealership tried to charge me hundreds of dollars. had to argue with chyrsler corporate for weeks to get them to pay. is it burning? leaking? it's a manufacturing defect for sure. the epa would have a field day. their emissions are probably completely out the window if they are burning that much oil, or releasing it into the wild 1 drop at a time. i've never seen any accumulating oil in the garage or my parking spot at work.i don't think the epa would like knowing barrels more of oil are being used than advertised. also, the car has stalled in the middle of an intersection with cars coming up behind me. it's always been to/from work or something like that, and never with my kids and family in the car. but you'd have to think that's a huge lawsuit/tragedy waiting to happen, and yet chrysler completely says that's within reasonable spec. where the hell was this "spec" when i purchased the car? the new sticker didn't say "great gas mileage, awesome nav unit, burns 1qt of oil per week" on the window. 20 year old cars have oil level sensors, and warnings about that. why does this new age car, not have an oil sensor on it to at least warn us of impending doom when the car stalls making a simple turn? there was a dealership franchise chain down in phoenix completely replacing people's engines for free with the 2.4l tigershark (i think some jeeps and fiat's have them as well). i also heard rumors that somewhere along the lines of 30% of 2.4l's had the piston rings in backwards?

The motor has had an oil leak that started at 3000 miles and they have not been able to resolve. i am worried that this might lead to an enine fire. i have had it at the dealer several times for this problem and it keeps happening. with the powertrain the vehicle will not move then surges forward. this started around the 5000 mile mark and continues to happen. it acts like the clutch slips but i have had it in the shop several times and every time i am told nothing is wrong. this issue is dangerous when sitting in traffice or taking off from a dead stop becaue the car does not want to move at first and then when it does lunge forward it is not controlable how far it will actuall go.

Car stalls without warning in all sorts of scenarios, just started, turning, stopping, up hill or down hill. multiple inquiries with chrysler corporate and dealerships resulted in them telling me the car is engineered to allow 1qt of oil burned every 750 miles, per spec sheet i had to firmly demand to be able to see it. was basically told there is no problem that my car dies in the middle of an intersection with my family in it, thereby the potential for a major catastrophic deadly situation is there. chyrsler corporate cases were closed with no resolution and they nearly made me pay for the inquiry. this is all apparently hidden in the chrysler tsb - 09-001-12. my car had 25,000 miles and was needing about 7-8 quarts between oil changes according to the car's built in oil life meter which is intended to be used.

The last 2 weeks my 2014 dodge dart would stall in the morning. doesn't matter when and where. it just loses all power. it wont start for several minutes. at one point at 5:30 am the car stalled on a one way street in a canyon, with backed up traffic. today i got out of the work around 2:30 pm and while going home in busy traffic, it stalled in and was almost hit by a car behind me. i have read several complaints about the same thing and can't believe that nothing has been recalled.

Engine stalls out and completely dies. this has happened to me several times already with my six year old in the car. i haven't taken it to the dealership twice already and this will be the third final attempt for repair. i've brought a new battery even after it passed successful testing, and the alternator passed as well. the first time it stopped on me i was on the highway (had the car toll to the nearest autozone for a new battery) had the dealership look at it they stated they could not diagnose the problem since the vehicle was working and could not find anything wrong with the car, 2nd time it stopped two days later on the interstate had the car (this time i had it toll to the dealership) and they put in the work order what i stated did nothing to the engine and only completed the recall on the brakes. the third time it stopped on me while driving was on the highway oct. 2017 had to get a jump and he kept stalling out before it completely stopped this time i contacted dodge roadside assistance to toll me to the nearest dealership for documentation. i have open a case with chrysler corporation and feel like i'm getting no where, and the dealership has not even bother to contact me. i'm going through all of this when the car is only 3 years old with 48,000 miles still covered under warranty. all the times i vehicle has stopped on me on dark roads, in traffic, on the instate my daughter has been in the car with me. this car is a danger to me, my, family, and anyone else on the road if i drive this car. for now it continues to be at the dealership while i drive the loaner car they gave me. but i'm still having to make car payments on a vehicle i'm not even driving.

Started having issues when i started leasing it in 2014.it has been taken into the dealership at least 7 times now, due to stalling out. everytime i take it in,its because of the same issue.it stalls out at all times, whether it be pulling out of my driveway in the morning, turning slowly around the corner, driving on a local side street going 30 mph, when i started to brake before a speed bump, going 60 mph on the highway, i can keep going. each time i have been given the run around, problem can't be duplicated, so lets guess. pcm replaced a couple times as well as the flash updates performed, pcv valve replaced multiple times and it still stalls out. have even had to pay for a battery because they stated that was the issue before and it wasn't so i had to pay for a battery when i could have used that money for something else as i am in a tight budget as it is. as of today, the vehicle was taken to the dealership, again, (i have been to two different dealerships as well) as of today, my pcv and map sensor replaced, again. i was told from an individual from corporate that he told the dealership he wanted them to keep the vehicle to try to replicate the issue. apparently that was not done which i will certainly be addressing with him and request be done.since the first time i brought it in, which was within the first few months of having it, there always seemed to be an issue with it being "low on oil",every single time. i think that should have raised a red flag the 3rd or 4th time i brought it in. they are playing a guessing game, not being loyal and fair.this is a huge safety concern and it needs to be taken off the market, completely. i think they are just doing anything to buy time because my lease is almost up,not fair. i already have legal counsel standing by. when someone gets killed, then they will worry about our safety.how many complaints will it take.

In the past two weeks my car has stalled out 3 times and it has been unable to start back up. i've had the battery replaced and mechanics cannot determine the issue. the stalling has occurred between 2-5 minutes of driving and always while in motion. this has happened to me in the middle of morning rush hour on city streets each time and i have been lucky enough to pull over to the side before losing all momentum and being stuck in the middle of the road. when it stalls out all the dashboard lights flash on and the engine died. two of the times happened after making a 90 degree turn, and one time it happened after just going around a curve in the road. it also seems to occur as i am accelerating or decelerating. when trying to turn it back on, the lights and electronics will turn back on but the engine will not turn. i have noticed several complaints for the same issue and i have looked up my vin on the nhtsa website but it is not under any recalls. i have already spent $265 + aaa towing fees on this issue. the three dates that this has occurred to me are: 3/17/17, 3/24/17, and now 3/27/17. i am keeping all my receipts and i will contact aaa to show the proof of their towing/service.

Tl* the contact owned a 2014 dodge dart. while driving, smoke appeared from the vehicle without warning. once the vehicle was parked, it caught fire the contact was unaware if a police report was filed. the fire department arrived and stated that the engine compartment caught fire. the siding of the house and garage were damaged by the fire. the vehicle was destroyed. the failure mileage was 27,970. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. updated 05/09/17*lj *as

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 dodge dart. while driving 15 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was diagnosed as being low on two quarts of oil. the vehicle was taken to be repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 24,000.

While i was driving my dart on the street, it shut off into nuetral and the gear box lit up red. i tried pressing on the gas and it was just stalling not moving at all. i had to put car in park (in the middle of an intersection)turn it off and turn it back on a few times before i could get it into drive again. the next day, the same thing happened when i started the car the whole gear box lit up and when i put it into drive it was on neutral and was stalling the car would not move!

At 7 am in the dark, the vehicle was approaching a train tracks crossing and stopped/stalled on a train tracks approach. all electronics were checked and verified as good. starter would not engage. while making arrangements for a tow to the dealership, i checked this board for complaints. sure enough, the low/no engine oil issue was the root cause. the engine burns oil at an alarming rate as if it were evaporative. i went back and added a quart. the car fired right up. i took it to the dealership just to be safe for them to check it out. of course, no codes were prevalent so they could do nothing but charge me for an expensive diagnostic and an oil change. they had it for a week. fca sent me a survey so i made them aware of it. now, i (along with many of my fellow dart owners) have posted to the us government's official site for actionable intelligence that they may do something (anything!). how many near misses have to be reported? how many actual failures of this sort has caused a mortal end? dead men and women tell no stories and remember that the car's flash memory does not record a code. so conceivably, this issue may have already been the cause of many preventable deaths. the internet has video available of this failure if the nhtsa are interested. it's dangerous and callous that this issue is not being investigated.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 dodge dart. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled without warning. the vehicle was able to restart. the failure recurred numerous times. the vehicle was not taken to a dealer. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown. the vin was not provided. updated 02/15/2017*ct

Takata recall , when i got the car form the dealership till now i put a bit over seven thousand miles on a very new 2014 dodge dart gt besides the occasional clutch getting stuck when i engaged it forcing me to have to pick it up with my toe i had no problems with the car no stalling or rough shifts until last night when i lost all control while on the highway causing me to have to quickly swerve of the road or be hit by the vehicle behind me . engine which still run and can accelerate the car will not more in any gear 1-6 or even reverse and even though this is a constant problem on lots odd dodge darts that have been recalled they said my vin doesn't fall under there recall dates. *tr

Vehicle engine is dying at random in traffic- either while stopped or in motion at low speeds. electricals remain on, but all driving power is lost. vehicle does not immediately restart. dealership believed the issue to be oil consumption, but vehicle continued to have the same issue after oil was changed and refilled. *tr

Engine over-consumes oil. the engine will be dry from consuming all oil at 4,000miles.

Takata recall this 2014 dodge dart aero has now had multiple problems with the clutch and axles. it is currently in the shop to have the slave cylinder for the clutch as well as the axles fixed for the second time in 2 years. they are also in the process of checking in to why the check engine light came on for the mass air flow sensor. this makes 2 times that it has gone to the shop for clutch and axle issues. they also don't know what the real problem is for the check engine light. i have asked them to buy the car back and they wont. they also stated that i may be having to pay some out of pocket to get my car fixed this time. this car is nothing but problems. like i mentioned before; twice for the clutch and axles, the engine light is on for a reason they don't know other that they think it is the mass air flow sensor, the third time i took it to dodge for an oil change they told me that no oil came out of the engine and then tried to explain to me that my engine was "known" to do that. now i have just gotten off the phone with the manufacturer customer service and they replied with they will cover all the costs except for $100. seems kind of odd to settle on that amount. plus they wont buy it back. therefore, this car is known to have clutch and engine problems and dodge expects me to drive around not having to worry about if my life is at risk. i should also mention that the tires that came on the car were faulty as well as i had to replace two of them already. the bands on the inside of the tire came loose and caused problems with the driving as well. this is junker car that i purchased new and dodge could care less that it is falling apart.

Sudden stalling at any speed, been to towbin dodge in henderson nevada, they say they all do that when it needs an oil change, so i asked them, there is only 500 miles since u guys just changed it, they hooked up a scanner and said no codes cars fine. i said it shuts off for no reason, the steering gets super stiff when the car dies, and it's a push button start system, then it makes a funny noise, after a few attempts it will start up and be fine for a week or so, sometimes it stalks 2 to 3 times in a mile. i've been reading about the dodge dart with thev2.4 ltr engine stalls for no reason, this is a huge safety issue. the dealer still insists it's an oil change timer in the computer that gets you to change the oil. i strongly disagree with that reasoning to stall the car out on the freeway or intersection because it needs an oil change.

While taking off from a light made a left turn and the car just dies this is very dangerous does not want to start right away takes a few min it started this is scary because my 1997 dodge truck still has all original stuff and never these problems
