I turned off of highway 501 and was heading east on a 40 mph road. a 2001 saturn station wagon turned left directly in my path and i t-boned the saturn dead center of my dodge dakota, collided with the read passenger's side tire. the rear tires came approximately 3 feet off the ground. both air bags fired on the saturn station wagon. my airbag did not.
Tl*the contact owns a 2007 dodge dakota quad cab slt(na). the contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the vehicle was involved in a head-on collision and the air bags did not deploy. the contact experienced muscle spasms and bruises due to the seatbelt. the vehicle was towed to a local shop where they estimated over $10,000 in damages; the vehicle was currently being repaired. a police report was filed. the manufacturer was contacted and they stated that the vehicle air bags were not faulty. the failure and current mileages were 63,000.
Takata recall.... how long before recall is completed?
I recently had a car accident going 40-45 mph in my 2007 dodge dakota crew cab, and the driver and passenger airbags did not deploy upon impact of the other vehicle that came into my lane of travel. *tr

Takata recall i called the dealer for the recall they say no parts and if im concerned to park the vehicle and not use it. however they don't offer a rental vehicle. i also called chrysler and say thing they don't want to provide rental when i purchased this vehicle it was with the understanding that it was complete all the safety features where in working order know we discover that's not the case. manufacture should repair and provide a rental until that happens.
