Tl* the contact owned a 2005 dodge dakota. while driving 70 mph, the vehicle independently began to sway. within moments, the vehicle flipped over on its driver side. the front driver side air bag did not deploy. the vehicle was not diagnosed. it was unknown if injuries were sustained or if a police report was filed. the manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was destroyed. the failure mileage was 100,000. updated 09/03/15*lj updated 12/16/2015*js

While the vehicle is in the running and operational position, aka driving down the road, the key can be removed, by simply pulling it out of the ignition, and the vehicle will remain running, and then there is no way to shut the vehicle off. the ignition switch has been faulty since i bought the vehicle. i am amazed no one has been injured, and even more surprised no recalls for this issue.

Dt: the contact stated while driving a t highway speeds on bumpy roads the vehicle had poor stability. he felt as though he could lose control of the vehicle. he took the vehicle to the dealer numerous times. the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the problem. he noted daimler/chrysler were aware of this problem but at this time there was no solution. the dealer resurfaced a rotor on the front brakes which did relieve some vibration in the front suspension. no further repairs have been made at this time. *ak
