Recently reported FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM problems on 2014 Dodge Charger

When fueling vehicle, at the point the vehicle is about topped off, gas starts leaking from underneath the vehicle near the driver side rear tire. a very strong odor of gasoline fumes can be smelled inside the passenger cabin. occurs when vehicle is stationary being filled.

Evaporative emission system large (fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors)

Gasoline leaking into cab from faulty or poor quality components or seals. gas vapors inside car cause potential concerns for ignition and or explosion. vehicle was stationary at home. dodge customer service unhelpful.

Takata recall the car has a raw fuel smell that fills the cabin and also the trunk area, especially when i fill tank. i have taken to 2 mechanics and they could not find a leak. the car does this moving and sitting still, running or off.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 dodge charger. while driving 5 mph over a speed bump, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming form the vehicle. a few days later, the contact smelled an abnormal exhaust odor. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that a hold was in the catalytic converter and it would need to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired because the technician refused to do the repair. the failure mileage was approximately 35,096. the vin was not provided.

While driving my 2014 dodge charger sxt on the freeway today (11/02/16) the engine stalled & i barely made it to the relative safety of the median to attempt to restart my car. after multiple attempts, it eventually restarted, however it stalled again shortly thereafter on the freeway & 3 more times once i got off the freeway. i just got it back from the dealership last week for the same problem (they claimed that they "updated" some software but couldn't replicate the problem). it is currently at the dealership, but i am concerned that i may not be able to safely avoid injury/damage if this problem isn't fixed & continues to happen. i have multiple photos & videos on my phone of this occurring & would be happy to email them. *tr

While driving on the highway at 65mph the vehicle shut off and i lost power steering. i was barely able to avoid being hit during heavy morning traffic. once stopped i was unable to get the vehicle to restart and needed to be towed to the dealer.

Ever since purchasing this vehicle there has been a clunking noise and the whole car moves whenever putting in gear or putting in park. and there is a loud clunk. i went to purchase gas at a shell station( i only use shell premium gas) and went inside to pay for the gas. i came back hit the fuel door release button and went to the pump. i went to place the nozzle in my tank and the metal plate that covers the fuel tank wouldnt not move. i called my husband and he came to help me and there was no way to get the plate open. i called the dealership where i bought the car and was told that they had never heard anything like that had i tried to put diesel in my tank. i am a former truck driver and know the difference between diesel and regular gas. and that was not the issue. the dealership also could not figure out what the problem is. i went to a station that has a mechanic and he used a tool and was able to unlock it so that we could fill up the tank. i am not currently driving the car until the dealership can get it in to be repaired because if i did run out of gas there is no way for me to put gas in the vehicle. so i am stuck without a vehicle even though i have a brand new car with less than 5,000 miles on it. this is ridiculous because no one seems to know how to fix the problem. and all the dealerships in the houston area have a 4 -5 day wait time for them to even look at my car. *tr
