Takata recall on saturday february 27 my car radio began to turn off and on the display screen it said battery saver mode. i assumed my battery needed to charge but later that night it started and within minutes it did it again but the auto shops were closed. i was unable to take it the next day and today monday february 29 as i drove to work my radio turned off again. after work i decided to drive to the auto zone to get the battery checked. as i drove my screen began turning off and on, my a/c kept turning up and down but blowing hot air, as if the heater was on, and the display screen where it shows speed turned white and started blinking on and off, all the indexes on the dash went crazy and maybe two minutes later my car shut off while driving and i struggled to turn as the steering locked. i was lucky to be near the auto zone already and away from traffic. my son was with me it was a horrible experience. they were able to check it and it was the alternator. my headlight on the passenger side is out as well. i have heard of recalls with all these parts but apparently mine is not on the list. same problems. this really needs to be addressed.

On 3 september i took my dodge charger into butler chrysler jeep dodge, of beaufort. sc 29902 (843 524 9696) for the recall notice i received for a recall, pertaining to the side air bags. i received the car back, and was told that the problem is fixed. on 20 september, as i was driving the air bag indicator light came on and is constantly on. i called butler chrysler, and explained the issue i was having and was told that the light being on is not part of the recall. i told them the light was not on when i came in, and if they had competent mechanic, the light shouldn't be on now. they offered me a courtesy check on the light, however in repair is needed i will have to pay for it. i feel this is a huge scam to pay for a recall. i will refuse to pay for any repair to the air bag indicator, because i did not do anything to make the lights come on. please help. thanks,

I had a light coming on that indicated that i have an air bag malfunction and to have serviced immediately. i looked up that some of the dodge and chrysler products have had a recall due to faulty wiring on a connector from the factory. they pulled up my vin and stated no recalls for my vech, per. the vin. however she did say it was showing the orc switch was bad. then stated that i would have to pay because its out of warranty. i said ok i will have to let them know because i thought it was under recall. then i was told i would have to schedule an appointment for diagnostic. so i asked if i take the vech. and the air bag deploys due to malfunction and i get hurt then what. they said sorry don't know what to tell you. ok is this not a hazard to myself and other's? if its the same as the no7 recall but not my vin. that seem like they should have extended the recall to other vech. as well. *tr

The air bag light keeps coming on, have taken it to two different dealerships. the first dealer was atlantic chrysler on 12/31/14, they said it was the bag in the seat. they reset the light and is was fine until approx. march, then came on a couple times. in approximately in april i took it to sport hyndani dodge, they said it was a dirty connection and charged me 90.00. that lasted approximately 1 month and it came back on intermittently, now continually. took it to sport today september 16, for a recall for the air bag system. they said it would not fix the light being on, they said it was a sensor and they would have to take the seat apart to figure out what the problem was. did not have it fixed today, did not have the time. has been in 3 times for same problem only to get 3 different diagnoses.

I took my car in for routine engine oil replacement and tire rotation. after receiving it back i noticed a humming sound coming from the engine and the dash information center telling me that the car is now in battery saver mode.. reading through the forums it seems this has been happening with people driving the same car as me and this has always led to engine failure and possible fire or accident. prior to this incident, for the past 2-3 months, the airbag warning light has been coming on and off intermittently for no reason, regardless of anything on me seats. *tr

First of all the customer service at the local dealership! sucks! when you called they (it's a call center), and they transfer where no one ever picks up. my problem occured on 8/6/2014. my car was driving in battery mode (which is not listed in the manual by the way). so, i called the dodge chyrsler customer service to find out what was going on 1-800-423-6343. only thing they advise was take to the dealer for diagnostic testing (which you the consumer have to pay for). now remind you i have only had this car for one year and i am the second owner. i have kept up all my oil changes and regualr maintenance required for mileage, but all all of sudden the freaking alternator goes out on a 2012 dodge charger. of course this does not sound right. so, i get a call back from the local dealership and they advise me that it will be $655 plus diagnostic. i have beed advised by the dealership as well as the chysler group llc customer center they can not assist with cost due to decline matrix and the history of the vehicle. i have gotten nothing but bs from everyone in regards to the so called case no. they gave me. the cutomer service representative have been extremely rude. i ask for a manager which they advised me they could not give me. (remind you again i use to work for a call center) i have not never heard a rep telling a customer you can not speak to a manager. bull crap! also, i was told they are not allowed to give out headquarters numbers or information of address (which i ended up google the information). i planned on taking this matter up. i have electric issues, airbag issues, and more since i got this vehicle. everyone tried to warn me about buying a dodge, but i guess they were right ang i was wrong. thanks, a concern owner of a dodge charger. *tr

i have a 2012 dodge charger se. date and place of manufacture was january 2012, canada. the vehicle was purchased used on may 15, 2013 from the colorado river car sales, located in bull head city, arizona. on 2/06/2014 the air bag warning light came on and has remained on. after learning that a recall had been made for defective air bag harness wiring, my husband contacted swantys chrysler / dodge dealership / repair center in bull head city, arizona for an appointment to correct the problem. on 2/11/2014 my vehicle was inspected and the harness was found to be defective, however i was informed that my vehicle vin number is not a part of the nhtsa recall # 13v118000. due to the fact that it was manufactured 2 weeks after the dates stated on the recall notice . i was informed that i will be responsible for the replacement cost of $350.00 .to correct this defect. neither the colorado river dealership nor swantys will consider doing the repair / replacement without charge to me. the defect is the same and wouldn't be a problem, had my vehicle been manufactured only 2 weeks earlier then it was. i am requesting that my vehicle be included in the nhtsa recall # 13v118000 this is a financial injustice to me that i feel needs to be resolved as soon as possible. *tr

Operating my vehicle with seatbelts employed, i was struck offset head-on from my left at the drivers front headlight from an oncoming vehicle who's driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic, making a left turn, crossing into my lane causing the collision and subsequent events. my speed was accelerating and was approximately 35 mph when hit by the other vehicle, reportedly accelerating to an estimated 15 mph. despite these energetic collisions, none of my airbags ever did deploy. after the initial vehicle collision, my car was subsequently slammed to the side and off the road. with continued forward momentum, "standing" on the brakes and with no steering control, i struck a fire hydrant in my path followed by a large tree head-on. the tree collision was significantly energetic enough to cause total front end damages resulting in repairs approximately $20,000. in all three collisions, none of my airbags deployed. i sustained head trauma and was unconscious when ems/police arrived. i was diagnosed in the er with closed head injury and other mva- related trauma. mechanism of injury: after the initial vehicle/vehicle collision, my head collided with the upper inside driver's doorframe where there's a handle. when my car subsequently collided with the large tree, my neck snapped forward and i struck my forehead on the steering wheel. it's my opinion and that of others, that the driver side airbags should have deployed in at least one of the collisions and had they deployed correctly, my injuries could have been prevented or, at minimum, been less severe. *tr

The airbag light censor continues to come on and off. even though a recall has came out each time i contact the dealership to make an appointment to fix the problem they tell me that they do not have the parts and that dodge has not came up with a permanent fix for the issue. i think this is outrageous because if an accident occurs the airbags will not deploy which could cause major injury. why send out a recall if the parts are not even available? *tr

While driving, airbag light came on. has come on intermittently in the past. online search indicates that it is likely wiring to a sensor under the passenger seat, seems to be a common problem. wiggled wiring under seat and light turned off. will have dealer look into problem at next scheduled service visit. problem should be looked into for a recall; a search of the internet brings up many people with the same problem. *tr

I have had numerous recalls on this car, especially one that is pending that does not seem to have a remedy yet, i also had a problem with the driver seat making cracks and squeaky noises as well as losing my settings so i often have to adjust the seat , i took the car in about 4-5 times for this repair and it was never done correctly.

My charger has 2,317 miles. during driving the air bag light turn on with a chime. the light continue on. i turn the car off and turned on again and the light continue. i stop using the car since i heard that the air bag when this occurred shut down and don't work and if i have any accident, i am not protected by the air bag. on june 5, 2012, i visited the dealer for repaired. after 3 days in the dealer, they called me that the car is ready. on june 8,2012 ,i went to the dealer. in the dealer, the representative told me that the computer showed a code b0020-13. the technician proceed to realize a circuit test based on diagnostic table and they found a wire from the front driver seat air bag that need to be repaired. based on the technician, one of the pin of the wire was out of position. the technician repaired to correct the code. after one day working good without the air bag light on, a chime sound and appeared again the air bag symbol. i check in various forum related to this car and in all of the forum they have the same problem and the dealer do the same procedure and the result is the same after repaired the light coming again. i think that dodge has to recall this situation since we are not protected in case of a car accident. *tr
