Low beam headlight on driver side failed to illuminate. while replacing the bulb, a visual inspection indicated the connector had overheated and the electrical connection had become loose. the dealer was contacted to see if a recall had addressed this issue. they advised the recall only affect police cruiser and this car was not identified as a recall. the dealer indicated the repair solution would be to replace the entire electrical harness. currently the vehicle has not been repaired. based on other complaints regarding this same issue the current recall:nhtsa campaign number: 12v197000 should be extended to include passenger cars as well as the police cruisers. in addition dealer should check the high beam connectors as well to avoid potential safety issues of complete failure or fire while driving. *tr
