Tl* the contact owns a 2008 dodge charger. the contact noticed smoke coming from the driver side headlamp. the contact opened the headlamp and noticed flames. the contact extinguished the fire. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front bumper, bumper cover, support bracket, passenger side headlamp assembly, upper tie bar, panel, and wiring harness needed to be replaced. in addition, the front driver side area by the headlamp needed to be painted. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 158,093.

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 dodge charger. while driving approximately 50 mph, a loud popping noise was heard from the rear of the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear axle hub nut had to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v295000 (power train). the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 170,000.

Outer tie rod ends needed to be replaced at 76,000 miles. according to the mechanic, tie rod ends should last to at least 150,000 miles. upon further research, this seems to be a common problem for dodge chargers before 100,000 miles. *tt

The tie rod ends in this car have been replaced twice and now im going in for a third time. my mechanic explained to me that these cars are known for their tie rod ends breaking. i feel it should be looked into..i have been to online forums for this vehicle and its mentioned a lot on there too. if a part is defective the manufacturer should be recalling these vehicles. *tr

Purchased 2008 rear wheel drive v6 dodge charger 11/8/2008. 1st time i had issues w/ worn out front end suspension parts was in 7/14/2010. i had to have the outer tie rods replaced on my car which only had 26,036 miles on it, luckily, this was covered under warranty. since 7/2010, i have had to have multiple various front end suspension and steering components replaced, not covered under warranty. *5/1/11 sway bar links & outer tie rods *3/2/12 outer tie rod end/control arm and ball joint *11/1/12 outer tie rod *11/27/13 sway bar links *12/10/14 control arm/stabilizer bar bushing. i've had to have my tires replaced 3 times due to excessive/uneven wear caused by reoccurring, expensive suspension issues. i am not a hot rod driver, nor do i live on a long bumpy dirt road and feel my complaint should be looked into for a possible recall and force dodge to correct this issue. i can not afford $400 to $600s and tires $800 every or every other year. this is ridiculous.

Everyday while driving my 2008 dodge charger at any rate of speed, with my foot on the accelerator pedal and attempting to go faster or if i am keeping the vehicle at a steady speed, the vehicle feels as if it wants to hesitate or stall out. the vehicle also has a hard shift when shifting into drive, reverse, neutral or park and it feels as if the engine will drop out of the bottom of the vehicle onto the ground. the vehicle was taken to a dodge dealer, driven and they stated that the hard shift was normal. the vehicle will be taken in for the hesitation this weekend. *tr

I bought a 2008 dodge charger daytona from chapman dodge in las vegas, nv. they sold me the vehicle brand new with 22" tires. the tire are hitting the fenders and cutting into the tires. i contacted chrysler corporation and they said in an email that chrysler corporation does not recommend this size tire on this car because it would be a safety hazard. i had five family members in the vehicle a couple weeks ago and noticed a noise coming from the front of the vehicle and when i stopped to investigate the lip of the fender was all bent and there were cuts in the tire. if i had been on the highway driving the speed limit of 70 mph and this happened, the results could of been tragic. *tr

Eletrical failure 2010 - 2015, steering resistance 2013-2015, wires burning left signal back light gone. front signals left/right malfunction, trunk unable to open with program key 2012 -2015. wepplease save my family and consumers of us.
