There is something going on with the electrical system which causes the instrument cluster to completely shut down and lights to flicker when driving. usually happens when car heater is on or driving for a long period of time. i have a video of the issue and showed it to cerritos dodge service department but they didnt acknowledge issue.

Dashboard guage so and headlights lose power.

My car's engine stalls without warning while driving. i had problems with this when i bought the car within the same week from a used car dealer. it now affects my headlights by making them flash on and off while driving. the car has been in and out of the shop for the past year and no one can seem to find the issue. there is a past time device installed which interfered with the security system. the dealership took out the security system and shortly thereafter the engine stalls began. engine stalls occur while driving or stopped at traffic lights. it happens randomly but not often. the headlights happen everyday and is getting worse. the vehicle is becoming undrivable but no service tech can find the issue.

Head lights flash while driving then shut off then come back on. as i down shifted on the freeway the car died and check engine light came on now i'm stuck with a broke down car. it shifted really hard and died at the same time the check engine came on

While driving my headlights, and parking lights flicker like a christmas tree or sometimes just go out, for a few seconds. i notice this happens in the cold weather especially.

While driving the car will cut off . the lights have flickered off and on. the room needle goes down likes is cutting off and then goes back up. i have the charger 2006 rt police package. this has happen while driving, turning at corner, and sitting at the light. these issues have been going on for the last 6 months.

The headlights on my car started flashing almost every time i turn them on, and this is forcing me to not be able to drive at night. it started with a flash on 12/2/2014, and now it occurs every time i drive the vehicle. i have been told that it could be anything in the front end causing a short and have checked for recalls but this is not a determined recall at this time. the dealership has been no help and wants to charge extra money just to look at it. considering i have seen many other drivers with the same make/ model/ year vehicle in car forums and blogs regarding this very same issue, i'm hoping this report will help push for an investigation as i have to drive for my employment and do not want to get a traffic ticket for faulty equipment. *tr

I was driving down the street it was night and my lights completely went out i couldn't see it still doing it at night going off. *tr

This issue started approx 3 weeks ago. the head lights will not stay on they flicker off and on as if i was flashing my lights to alert another driver, when they are actually doing this on its on. this is not only a safety issue, but i'm afraid i will get pulled over by law officials. and my job requires me to have to be at work at night. this is very disturbing when this happens and they stay off at times for 30 to 40 seconds at a time and i'm having to hold the bright light arm to have lights. the passenger airbag light comes on from time to time saying it is not on, and there are brake issues as well. *tr

I was on my way to work tuesday morning and my headlights, foglights & dashboard lights kept flickering off & on even when the knob was turned off. i called dodge to see if there was a recall i was told that it wasn't. however, after reading the blogs & reviews this appears to be an ongoing problem with the same year, make & model that i have. *tr

While driving approximately 60 m.p.h. on the freeway, all engine lights came on and the needles all dropped. they quickly returned to normal and the engine did not falter, radio did not go off, etc. this has happened several times over the course of 2 months and i took it to the station where they could find nothing wrong. about 2 months later, the headlights began to flicker on and off, sometimes for 10 seconds or more. this has been happening for about 4 days. i checked all the fuses and they appear secure. the car is currently back at the station to be checked again. as it is december, i can't be without headlights on my morning and evening commute to/from work. *tr

About 1 year ago as i was driving along interstate 95 the instrument needles all went to 0 or far left then went back to normal immediately. as time went on this occurred more frequently. about six months later as i was driving at night the needles dropped off and the head lights went off and stayed off until i switched from the auto position to the manual on position. the next time it happened i was at a stop light and the car cut off in the middle of the road. i called a police officer because i thought i might get rear-ended. after about 5 minutes the car started but ran rough. just this past weekend while driving at night in a parking lot the needles dropped off, the headlights went out, and the brakes malfunctioned. *tr

Headlight switch appears to be flaking out; with switch on headlights and associated parking and dashboard light flutter on and off, same effect when i turn switch to off position. just started about a month ago at 90k miles. i believe the headlight switch in the dashboard is defective. *kb

While driving, all the lights on the dashboard light up simultaneously and then go dark (all of them). at the same time, all the gauges drop to zero, bounce to their max and then drop to a null state again. after this blinking event happens a few times, all of the monitoring systems and gauges return to a working state. when this happens, it does not seem to affect the driveability of the car (brakes, trans, etc. all still function). the first time it happened, it caused great concern for safety, as well as significant distraction while under way. the original date and mileage are estimated.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 dodge charger. the contact noticed that there was a leak coming from the headlights. the dealer was contacted but did not offer any assistance and informed the contact to notify the manufacturer. the manufacturer was contacted but provided no assistance. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the current mileage was 90,000 and the failure mileage was 80,000.

Brake lights first went out on 09/08/2006 under normal driving conditions on our 2006 dodge charger r/t. dealership has fixed the problem on four separate times. on 06/03/2007 brake lights went out again and dealership once again attempted to fix the problem. when we got home with the vehicle, the brake lights were already out again. the dealership refuses to try and fix the problem, saying dodge/daimler chrysler needs to step in and replace the car. as of 07/10/2007 our dodge charger r/t sits in our driveway unable to drive the car while we get the run around from the dealership and from dodge/daimler chrysler. the dealership said they found the following problems with the brake lights; blown fuse, kink in the wiring, brake light switch module, right brake light assembly and 3rd brake light was arching. the repaired or replaced parts are not available. *tr

I have taken my car to the dealership 5 times to have issues fixed. each time i got the car back, it was worse. i had 13 issues originally with the car. i ended up suing, and got a very small settlement- dodge refused to cooperate. i still have each and every problem, and do not know what else to do. my car dies while in reverse, the brakes malfunction constantly, the window panel remains broken due to their inept work, the radio cuts off, the dash lights die @ night, etc. i would truly appreciate it if someone could actually help me. i do not know what else to do. i love my car dearly, but something needs to be done. the date i put as date of incident is when this all started. *tr

I am about to file a lemon law complaint because dodge has been "unable to duplicate" the most serious problems that have plagued my vehicle, a 2006 dodge charger r/t, since day four of my ownership. i have owned this car for 68 days and of those, i have only been able to drive the functioning car for 19 days. they have fixed a number of minor issues and notified me that they would be unable to fix or do not know how to fix at this time, some minor issues including the air conditioning compressor problems (which they say they have also been "unable to duplicate". the serious issues that are occurring when it idles, when it accelerates and with what seems to be the suspension and possibly both the engine and transmission. of those 68 days, they have come to pick up my car on three different occasions to try and fix it, the last time (which continues currently) they have had my car for four weeks. i happen to know (upon researching after the prolonged period they have had the car) that tsb's or technical service bulletins have been issued for every problem that is occurring with my car. additionally, i have taken my car to two different mechanics (one dodge dealership and one independent mechanic) that have witnessed these malfunctions. i would like to know what my options are legally for getting some kind of resolution. *jb
