Passenger seat does slides back / forward - does not lock in position. the movement of the seat would be very unsafe in a collision or accident. the passenger seat became stiff to slide and rollers fell out. now, the seat moves freely front to back with accel / decel. in additiona, when the seat is moved up / forward to allow a passenger to enter the backseat, it will not push back down in position without manually releasing a cable under the seat. there has been some kind of failure in the seat leading to an unsafe condition. when trying to figure out what went wrong and what fixes are out there, it became clear many others have had the same issue.
