Sealed tail lights leaking water inside , won't pass state inspection.

When the car is i'm motion or standing the vehicles engine begins to race the engine light as well as charging light comes on and the cars speed drops below 25mph and if headlamps if being used the flicker off and on . the oil was recently change but the change oil light comes on repeatedly.. headlamps that were replaced blew in 2 months . the car repeatedly need to be jumped eventhough nothing was left running or on in the vehicle..

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge caliber. while driving various speeds, moisture leaked into the front headlights without warning. the vehicle was taken to miller's chrysler dodge jeep ram (48 kelly island rd, martinsburg, wv 25401, (304) 263-8821) where it was diagnosed that the front headlights needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 36,000.

The headlight housings and the taillight housings have issues with the seals which allow water to enter. the water became deep enough to contact a headlight bulb causing the bulb to fail. the water in the taillight crates enough to condensation to greatly diminish its visibility. after checking the forums, this is a very common problem.

Headlights have been an issue with this vehicle. example: low beam goes out ( thought to be normal conditions). replaced properly and worked for a while, but not long after harness melts. harness is then repaired and works for a while again before developing issues high beams. harness repair does not solve the problem. tipm may be faulty in design and causing issues with what will work in the case of headlights which is a safety concern.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge caliber. the contact noticed excessive mist within the rear passenger side tail light. the contact also noticed water leakage in the rear hatch as well as a build up of water within the rear passenger side tail light. the vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed. the approximate failure mileage was 38,000.
