Air bag sensor light continued to come on and the dealership determined that the air bag sensor in the passenger seat was malfunctioning. the notification stated, "your vehicle's air bag warning light recently indicated the air bag system may not be working properly. the air bags in your vehicle might not inflate in a collision, or they could inflate without a collision if you do not get the required service. have your vehicle checked at your dealership." the replacement would cost over $300. our chrysler pacifica is just out of warranty as it is a 2017 with 43,000 miles on it, so this sensor issue would not be covered. this seems like a possible recall considering it happened in a vehicle only 2.5 years old.
I was in a accident and the other driver was at fault. my passenger side got hit going 65 and the chevy truck ran into to us failing to slow down to there lane ending and hit my passenger side and the side of the van none of my side air bags went off and she was going full speed when hitting us. i was also seen in the hospital due to being pregnant.

I was involved in a injury causing accident in my 2017 chrysler pacifica. my van was struck on the driver side front quarter panel and sustained significant damage there. there was no front impact. my front airbag and side airbag did not deploy. i was in motion and so was the other vehicle which was a f150. i do not know the speed of the other vehicle but my speed was about 15.why wouldn't my airbag deploy?
An accident to front right side of the car involved when a person turned left in front of us. severe damage to vehicle. passenger suffered eight fractured bones. the air bags did not deploy. fractured sternum, four fractured ribs and three fractured bones in left foot. vehicle in motion going through intersection at about 35 mph. *dt *tr
Was involved in a passenger side impact collision while in motion on a city street and the side air bags did not deploy. in fact as a result of the collision, all electronics when haywire. windows would not roll up/down, display on radio said something like no service, lights were blinking, and the car would not turn off. impact occurred just behind the passenger front wheel and all the way to the rear wheel. seems like the electronics could be better protected in a side impact collision. luckily, there were no passengers on that side of the van. i was actually on my way to pick up the kids from school.
Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. the contact stated that the vehicle lunged forward while being driven 15 mph. the failure occurred without warning. the manufacturer and dealer were not contacted. the failure mileage was approximately 23,000.
