Problems with 2017 Chrysler Pacifica ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

On average, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica starts to “feel” problems with the ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and its various aspects after 22 250 miles.

Components Affected by ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Issues

We have classified the 178 complaints from 2017 Chrysler Pacifica about ELECTRICAL SYSTEM into the following categories.

Recently reported ELECTRICAL SYSTEM problems on 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Sometimes is giving parking brake sign and will not change when you turn the knob to change to another level .say from p to d and vice-versa. when you drive continuously that way, it drain out the battery. i can conclude that it has both electrical battery problem and the parking brake problem

The uconnect system has gone out in my car ( screen goes black) over a dozen times in 2 years. we are unable to use features such as backup cam, temp contols, navigation, radio etc. it has been to the dealer 6 times and no permanent fix has been found. last week i re-set the fuse in order to get it to work.

Our 2017 chrysler pacifica has been jerking into gear and won't accelerate and then after a few moments, it does. the jerking feels as if someone just hit you from behind and you stall before being able to accelerate. this always happened while in motion flat road, incline, or down hill. when we called the dealership and took it in and informed them of the issue, they said they didn't see a problem. now, we have an unknown message that says "service shifter". this came after the van was sitting and we got in to start the vehicle. it wouldn't start. had to wait for a tow. the power windows, doors, hatch won't work but the radio and communications systems work fine.

I purchased a used 2017 chyrlser pacifica and could not get my uconnect to work. i found out that the previous owner maintains the uconnect access account until they cancel it. they can unlock, start and if wanted steal my car using their cell phone. uconnect does not cancel the account when the car is sold so the previous owner maintains the account until they cancel it. this is very dangerous as the previous owner can effect the operation of the vehicle without the new owner's knowledge.

There was a recall due to this vehicle hard shifting. i have had this fixed three times and it is hard shifting again. the vehicle lurches forward and sometimes it feels like it will stall out completely. it occurs when accelerating, especially after stopping. it is worse when shifting from the lower gears when the vehicle just begins to accelerate, however it also occurs while slowing down to turn. the electrical system that monitors the temperature gauge is not working properly. it often shows to be in the negative degrees. this causes the check engine light to come on. this has also been fixed by my dealership but it has continued to occur.

Initially, while driving, a brief warning message would flash on the driver's info cluster that the "power steering was unavailable" and then the warning would go away very quickly. however, the warning began coming on more frequently, always while driving, and it would stay on, resulting in a total loss of power steering. this was very frightening since in the large van it became difficult to control while driving at both highway and side-street speeds. when the engine would be turned off and then restarted, the malfunction would resolve, however, it began happening more and more frequently, sometimes multiple times during a short drive. it was very unsafe to drive as the power steering could have potentially gone out at any time, such as a highway corner, resulting in loss of control. the car is now in the shop while they are trying to find a repair for the problem but as of now they are saying it is electronic and not mechanical.

Engine, lights, and all electrical shut off twice. the first time we were stopped waiting to make a left turn.we were able to restart it right away. the second time we were making a right turn off of a busy road onto a side street and got about half way through the turn when everything shut off and we were not able to restart it.this was scary and very dangerous fortunately the van rolled sufficiently to get off the main rd. we tried to push it further but with out electric we were not able to release the parking brake which turns on when the engine stops. we were finally able to start it with the help of a portable jump starter that we always carry in the vehicle. we took it to the dealer and they were not able to find anything wrong. i have no idea what the problem is but it involves a total electric disconnect that is possibly reconnected when an outside power source is introduced (jump starter) . i am afraid to drive it. i notice online several more of the same type complaints. the first was 12/26/18. the second was 1/6/19.

Tl* the contact owned a 2017 chrysler pacifica. while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off. the vehicle was taken to autonation chrysler (interstate 35, fort worth, tx) where it was diagnosed that the battery was faulty. the vehicle was not repaired and was returned to the dealer. the manufacturer was not notified. the vin and failure mileage were not available.

Vehicle started having issues starting, the vehicle would not start once the start button was pushed. once it did start and put into reverse or drive the vehicle would not move. i would have to turn the vehicle off, and on again several times before it would start. the vehicle would shut off and then turn back on while on the interstate whenever speed was reduced. the headlights would spontaneously shut off at night while driving, and could not be turned back on. the inside dash lights would also turn off making for a very unsafe situation. the air control also did not work properly. it would be very hot at 68 degrees, and would not blow a steady flow of air. it will speed up then slow down. *bf... *tr

We have had multiple issues with our 2017 chrysler pacifica. the first issue is when we accelerate between 10 and 20 mph our vehicle revs up and jerks really bad. literally feels like you have been rear ended. it is like the gear is slipping or it can't find the next year to go into. another issue we are having is with the drivers side sliding door. i usually have to try to shut it multiple times for it to stay shut. on multiple occasions i have had to hit the button 3-4 times for it to stop popping back open. the last issue is our start/stop feature. it has completely stopped working and it shows a code on the dash. these are all issues we have been dealing with for months.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle suddenly shut off. after coasting to a stop, the vehicle restarted and operated normally. the vehicle was taken to sarasota sunshine chrysler(7745 s. tamiami trail, sarasota, fl) who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 25,000.

Vehicle shut off on my 7 times already 2 on highway and 5 on streets. 2 on highway was driving around 65 mph when dash went off all lights went off no power steering or hazard light function. had to pull over to median at a complete stop. the others were variant from coming to a stop all the lights shut off the gauge needles went crazy. and the others were driving at lower speeds. the worse is trying to muscle onto a parking lot or median with no power steering or lights

Power steering failing completely. started intermittently and was first advised that a 'low battery' caused a power spike in the power steering unit and they charged the battery. then it happened more frequent and they diagnosed it to the power steering unit itself which took a week to replace. then two days later the power steering went out while entering a 90 degree curve at 35 mph. afterwards i could sit idling, watching the voltage wander between 11 volts and 15 volts, and have power steering, but as soon as i turned on the headlights or foglights or put it in gear, the voltage would stabilize at 14.6-14.8 volts and the power steering would turn off. it's been a week and they just contacted chrysler. i'm at 15 days in the shop between failed secondary battery, and a major safety issue with the power steering and no end in site. when the power steering fails, there is practically no way to turn the vehicle unless you have significant strength in the arms. a normal sized woman would only have one recourse and that is to stop abruptly. this will lead to an accident. when the power steering went out on me at 35 mph, i had no ability to abruptly stop as i had a car immediately behind me. that would have resulted in being rear ended. if i hadn't been able to steer it by sheer brute force, we would have crashed into the trees along the road. when the vehicle was towed to the dealership the power steering would fail while sitting still, much less driving like it did when it first started. i have video of the power steering going in and out while sitting in the drive way.

Hard shifting - going from 2nd to 3rd gear the van feels like it wants stall out and then all of a sudden a hard jerk(feels like you were hit from behind) then a loud knock and it drops into gear and takes off. most often happens when in stop and go traffic. sometime happens when just taking off from a red light. i have brought the van into the dealership over 8 times in the past 12 months, we have been able to duplicate the problem with the mechanic and chrysler care first tells me it is the adaptive transmission control trying to adapt to my driving habit so its the way i drive, then they tell me that is the way the van was designed to operate since we able to duplicate the problem in the same van but a brand new model that was on the lot. then they tell me there is nothing else they can do.

In a shopping center parking lot, rolling forward at 10 miles per hour. my foot was not on the brake or the accelerator. suddenly, the car accelerated over 1 second up to about 20 miles per hour. the acceleration was so rapid and sudden that i thought that i had been rear-ended. the vehicle slowed when i applied the break. the car then did it several more times over a few days period. i have taken the vehicle to the dealer, and they say that the car's computer has generated multiple errors, but they are unable to interpret the errors. the vehicle has been at the dealer for a week, with no success in diagnosing the problem or the fix.

The main problem is, my car does not start, the battery is dead and if i jumpstart their car it dies as soon as i shut the ignition, i spoke with a few people with the same car and they all have the same problem i called chrysler roadside assistance that's on the warranty and they save that no chrysler dealers will accept my car before two weeks, the first time it broke down i was in the middle of driving on a busy street, i dropped off my wife and helped her unload onload and then the car did does not start some of my friends told me their car stopped in the middle of driving also my transmission jumps gears in the middle of driving it?s a new car with a warranty but no one to talk to ..*bf. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. while driving 30 mph, the vehicle stalled and the "shift to park check engine" warning indicator illuminated. the contact also mentioned that the vehicle lost complete power and the clock needed to be reset. the contact also mentioned that the failure recurred while at a stop light. the vehicle was able to restart. the vehicle was taken to hall chrysler dodge jeep ram chesapeake (3353 western branch blvd, chesapeake, va 23321, (855) 544-8545) where the contact was informed that the system needed to be updated. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken to a local auto shop where the contact was informed that the wiring harness was burnt, but it was not determined if that caused the failure. the vehicle was repaired again. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 44,000. *tt updated 11/29/18* jb

Car was in motion, in traffic, using cruise control on a two lane highway. an attempt was made to accelerate and pass the slower car ahead. when accelerating to override the cruise control, the car decelerated and felt as though the brakes were being engaged. fortunately oncoming traffic did not approach before the car was able to limp back the lane. mullane motors serviced the vehicle to fix the problem. two days later the car again decelerated when applying gas to proceed, a warning flash appeared that said electronic throttle needs to be serviced. all this happened a few moths after we had our car to the dealership for the recall regarding the cruise control and two days after servicing to fix the deceleration happening as gas pedal is depressed.

In sept. 2018 i took my pacifica in for cruise control recall and check engine light. recall and check engine light repair completed. next day check engine light came on again and has been on and off for the past few weeks. it seems to stay on about 4 days and then off for a day or two. cruise control (in motion) goes out sporadically. power window- drivers window- auto up does not work. window(parked and moving) goes up half way, stops and goes back down. transmission-not consistent issue but lurching @ 10-15mph also at 30mph

Wife and children in the van in august 2017 driving at around 55mph on highway. message center told her to place vehicle in park before starting. vehicle lost all power while in motion and she coasted to side of road. would not start, towed to dealer dealer drove for 10 days before faulted on them. chrysler repaired a "faulty egr." august 2018, message told her that auto on/off needed service. vehicle lost all power at 30mph on residential street. took to dealer, they replace a battery for auto off/on. september 2018, while pulling into garage van put up message telling her to place vehicle in park before starting. all power lost and vehicle died. van has been at dealer for 29 days. currently has data recorder installed, and we are in contact with chrysler enhanced customer service to figure out the problem *dt updated 11/29/18*jb

Vehicle was stationary and a stop sign in auto start/stop mode. when brake was released the radio flashed, the passenger window rolled down and the auto start stop flashed and went into error. panel says auto start stop not active needs servicing the auto start stop light is illuminated yellow with an exclamation point.

I was stopped at a stop sign, and when i tried accelerating the vehicle wouldn't move, it has just shut off, when i tried turning it back on, after putting it in park it wouldn't turn on. luckily someone helped me push it out the way, and after waiting 10 minutes, the vehicle just started back up normally.

Drivers side sliding door was repaired once due to not locking and opening when parked or when driving, dealer replaced auxiliary battery and reprogrammed. again i have an issue, my main battery died for no reason. chrysler roadside jumped my vehicle and know the door has the same issues with the drivers side sliding door. now the door wont work properly and the rear locking mechanism is not pulling the door in to lock it, i had to apply pressure to help it engage the mechanical lock

Engine stalling when idle or during take off but quickly restarts when putting it in park. at times it goes directly to park on its own after shutting down. recently the vehicle lost power while driving around 50 mph. i coasted to the stop light put it in park and it restarted. loosing power completely after stalling but after a few minutes of waiting it restarts. shift service warning appears but resets before taking it to dealer. often shift indicator lights don't work but will after the car restarts hours later. windows go down on their own while driving.

The vehicle shut off as if the "key" had been turned off in the middle of traffic while moving, on the highway accompanied by the message "shift to park" my wife shifted to park then restarted it, the vehicle continued to repeat this multiple times until she was able to make it to an exit ramp and park in a safe area. this is the second time this has happened in the span of about 8 months. it has been to 2 dealers, both times we where told that no codes where stored internally therefor they didnt know what to repair. our van has been modified for a wheelchair for our disabled teenager because of this we have no choice but to keep driving it in this condition. not to mention how undependable it feels.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. while accelerating from a stop, the vehicle jerked. on some occasions, the vehicle would shut off in the middle of traffic and restart. in addition, the "auto stop" indicator was illuminated. the vehicle was towed to fox hills chrysler jeep (734-892-2220, located at 111 ann arbor rd, plymouth, mi 48170) where it was diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was approximately 21,500.

My car stalls and jerks when i'm going around 16 mph. losses power. it clunks and shifts hard like you're being hit from behind. my car has had one transmission replacement a few months back. today the car has been in the shop for over 30 days with its second transmission issue. chrysler can"t seem to fix the issue. it's a very scary feeling to loss power in the middle of the highway or anywhere. please help. my slidding doors had an issue that they will open and close automatically even if i was driving. very scary. so many more issues. the issues started maybe a month and a half after purchasing the vehicle.

I have had multiple electrical problems with my 2017 pacifica that began roughly one year into my 39 month lease (currently 22 months in). the auto start/stop indicator and a message saying the hood is open when it's not repeatedly shows on the dash when driving and when stationary. these issues were supposedly "fixed" twice now with a third appointment in a few weeks (takes forever to get in to the dealer and i'm fed up with having to rent a vehicle while the dealer "fixes" the problem). also, the car has stalled at least 10 times in the past year, most recently yesterday, which requires me to shift to park and restart the vehicle. this too was supposedly "fixed" each time the dealer had it in the service dept. i was very lucky that the car was sitting idle at a red light or stop sign during each of these occurrences. i would hate to think of what could happen if i was driving at any rate of speed and the vehicle stalled. additionally, the battery indicator has come on twice now in the past two days, which suggests the battery isn't charging right. however, i checked the battery via the vehicle information section on the dash and the battery is running appropriately. i will continue to monitor that as well and have the dealer check it at the appointment in a few weeks. with all of that being said, these problems should not be occurring in a vehicle that is not even two years old! these are safety concerns that have the potential to cause serious harm to the driver/passenger of the pacifica as well as innocent bystanders. it is noteworthy that i currently have 21k miles on the vehicle. these issues began around the 12k mile mark.

On tuesday 7/31/18, as i was slowing down to turn onto a neighborhood street, the electronic stability control active warning light came on, a warning that lane assist was unavailable flashed on the dashboard, and the blind spot sensors on both side mirrors turned on with a warning message that the blind spot assistance was unavailable. after about an 1/8th of a mile, i slowed to a stop sign and the brakes started to feel tight as if they were locking. the screen on the dashboard went blank and the gauge speedometer was not registering. i was able to make a slow left turn and then an immediate right turn into a driveway, but as i came to a stop the brakes were completely locked up and nothing was working as if the engine had turned off. i had to restart the vehicle twice for the dashboard to come back to normal. had u64 - reprogram powertrain control module and u50 manual park release recalls performed 7/25/18.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v332000 (electrical system, vehicle speed control). the vehicle was repaired by griffin chrysler dodge jeep ram (961 e u.s. hwy 74, hamlet, nc 28345, 910-582-1200). however, when the cruise control was set at 58 mph, the vehicle accelerated to 70 mph without warning. the contact depressed the brake pedal to disengage the cruise control. the vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and the technician was able to duplicate the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the cruise control operated properly on an incline. the failure was not remedied. the failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

My entire car vibrates like shaking and auto shutoff sign that we use while red light comes ups / engine light comes ups. i have to park my car on the side turn off for 2 minutes and turn on back to get back to normal. i believe if i don't do that i might hit with the other car as car vibrates and not controllable. it happened almost 10 times & dealer just ignores as i am making this up.

I was driving the car on a 5 lane highway going approx 50 mph when the car shut off. the gas pedal stopped working and the car began to decelerate. on the console it told me to then put the car in p to start the car. i was able to pull over and restart the car however it happened again within 10 minutes of driving. it has proceeded to happen 10-20 times and cars is now in the shop. this is a very dangerous thing to have happen when you are driving.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 18v395000 (electrical system, equipment). the dealer (lawley dodge chrysler jeep ram, 2750 us-180, silver city, nm 88061, (888) 706-9179) was contacted numerous times, but the contact received no response from the dealer and had been unable to schedule an appointment for the recall repair within a reasonable time frame. the manufacturer was contacted to determine if the part was available and to be referred to an authorized dealer to schedule the recall repair. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.

Driving, pulling out of driveway and vehicle shut off, would not shift or restart

I had a problem with the electronic injection for more than 3 times, and a piece that was solved was replaced. a short time later, on my alternator, it had to be changed. now i'm having trouble with my air conditioner, which freezes and stops to freeze suddenly. probably an electrical problem or some part that does not start and does not start the compressor.

I purchased a 2017 pacifica from a dealer. i have had the van not start twice for me at home in the driveway and now once at work. i had just shut the van off and went to restart it and it stalled twice. the third time all the gauges and went crazy it wouldn't start. i have owned this vehicle for 4 months, it had been in the shop a total of 6 weeks , 2 weeks each occurance. i was just informed by the dealership that it was a battery drain and it cannot be recreated. i am not confident in driving my new vehicle any distance in fear that i will be stranded because it will not start. super unhappy.

Engine shuts off and prompts to put car into park to restart while driving

2017 chrysler pacifica. consumer writes in regards to violent jerking when turning corners. *ld the consumer stated the dealer was advised and the failure could not be duplicated.*js

Our 2017 pacifica was repaired in the fall of 2017 under recall #t23 (egr valve function defect). now, our vehicle is experiencing the stalling problems described in the more recent u01 recall. the chrysler dealership refuses to apply the u01 fix to our car, stating that the earlier recall fix should have fixed the problem. at this time, the vehicle experiences intermittent stalls at low speed and at idle, and has slammed to an immediate stop if the issue occurs when moving. it is unsafe to drive.

Vehicle lost power and shut off while it was moving. it asked to be put in park and restarte.

The lane keep assistant (lanesense) system went offline and stated it needed service. took to the dealer and they stated the lower front camera needed to be replaced. when the dealer was asked if the problem is common, they could not answer. this is the same part on every fiat chrysler of america vehicle with this feature. this system has the ability to take the control of the vehicle from the driver and direct the vehicle in the appropriate direction. if this item is functioning incorrectly, it has the potential to steer the vehicle into other vehicles and on coming traffic. this feature failed while the vehicle was in motion at near highway speeds (55 mph) in heavy traffic.

We have had a few continuing problems since the original purchase of a 2017 chrysler pacifica braunability van. the car has had electrical issues and on 3 or 4 occasions has suddenly shut off or stopped working. one time may have been related to a car accident my husband was in. he collided with another car in 2018, immediately after the accident the car was not running, but he hadn't turned it off. it started back up again but this happened 2 or 3 times this year with different electrical features not working making the car inoperable at times. in addition, the air conditioning system has continuously been dysfunctional. we have had it to the dealership a few times for this problem. most recently it was fixed a couple months ago and it is again not working.

Several times while driving, the car has lost all electrical power. car was purchased new in may 2016. 1) when driving at approx 50mph, the vehicle lost all internal power - radio, lights, gauges, etc. braking and steering were unaffected. pulled over and shut off vehicle. after 5 minutes, restarted normally. in response to this, the dealer replaced the instrument cluster. this was the first incident, occurring summer 2017. 2) when driving in a parking lot, approx 10mph, the vehicle lost all power and came to an abrupt stop. passengers were disturbed and concerned, but not injured. after a few minutes, the vehicle restarted normally. 3) when idling (stopped) in a drive-thru line, the car lost all power. no controls in the vehicle worked, nor did the keyfob. car would not restart. driver opened and re-closed the vehicle door, at which time the vehicle restarted with a quick succession of error messages on the instrument cluster regarding the liftgate and other systems. this is the most recent incident, occurring 30-april-2018. this is a safety concern, making us hesitant and scared to drive the vehicle. please help.

When closing the driver side sliding door, it bounces back open one to multiple times before latching shut 90% of the time. we confirm there is nothing in the way of it closing. we have taken it to the dealership under warranty multiple times and they always state it cannot be replicated. also, on the passenger side sliding door if something gets in the way it will only open a small portion versus opening all the way up or shutting completely. if a child puts their foot up, the door will stop without opening back up. there is no alert/warning on the dashboard and you easily drive away with the sliding door partially open, very dangerous. another item, if you leave a back door open, the van will allow you to put it in gear without manually taking off the parking assist or again notifying you there is an open door. it will not do you any good to send pictures but i can certainly send a video. this is been ongoing since april 2018 when we purchased the vehicle initially.

Bought new, currently has approx. 1200 miles on it. van has stalled while driving multiple times while showing error messages including "stop/start unavailable, service stop/start system", the letter a! with an arrow around it. when van stalls the gear knob flashes in "d" or drive mode. taken to service for first incident week of 4/16, dealership replaced the ecm. picked up vehicle on 4/18 and stalled again on 4/22 and 4/23 while showing the exact same error messages. towed to dealer on 4/24 and they kept it until 4/30 with no fix as they said they could not replicate the errors or stalling. picked up the van on 4/30 and the vehicle stalled again and exhibited the same error codes while not even a quarter mile from leaving the dealership. i pulled over, put the van in park, started the van again and took it back to the dealer and the onsite manager took a picture of the error code a! and it is still in service for the 3rd time. i have pictures and videos to support my issues. this vehicle absolutely stalls while driving. i have notified chrysler corp directly and they are monitoring the service done at the dealership.

The car failed to start. i was not able to press the brake down at all to start the car. i tried 3 times then let it sit for a few minutes and tried again. it finally started. the power doors wouldn't work and the battery meter was going crazy from zero to midway. power was not consistent. it took a few minutes for my screen and reverse cam to come on. there was a loud pop like a power surge and the screen came on after that along with the radio. while driving on a city street the car completely died. this happened again further on my route home while turning car completely died and i had no control over the steering as well. i was not able to depress the brake to start it again for a few seconds. it finally started and the battery was running wonky the rest of the way home. the a/c was fading in and out as well. car continues to have fluctuating battery power on startup. *tt *tr

As of today, my new van has been in service 13 of the 15 days i have owned it. not even 12 hours after bringing my new van home, i noticed some lagging/slight jerk after braking going around 20 mph. the next day, in a neighborhood (thank goodness) after turning right after a stop sign, the check engine light came on with a ding and blinking and i was unable to accelerate. i coasted into my friends driveway to put in park and the van began to shake. this went on a few min and because i was on my way to work, i left the driveway and continued on my way for 10 min. the check engine light came on two more times after that. after four days in service, they finally concluded it was the o2 sensors and replaced all of those. after it was fixed, my husband couldn't even make it home before the check engine light came back on. as of yesterday, computer modules have been updated and the check engine light still comes on and they can't pinpint where the misfire is happening.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. the contact stated that the vehicle experienced a complete loss of power while being operated at a low speed. the failure occurred without warning. the vehicle was taken to chrysler jeep dodge ram (1020 belmont st, brockton, ma), but the cause of the failure could not be diagnosed. the contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 18v049000 (electrical system, engine and engine cooling). the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

Purchased vehicle in august 2017 and have been experiencing problems since then. grinding noise started to occur around 1000 miles. it would occur intermittently around surface street driving speeds. sound appeared to come from driver side. harder grinding noise occurred around 7000 miles intermittently, with it occurring both in cruise control and out of cruise control. lurching forward when shifting gears also occurred around the 1000 mile mark. was told this was "normal". but how can it be normal when the vehicle is brand new. was told the softer grinding noise and louder grinding noise were both normal and result of power steering. however, i wasn't ever steering when the sounds occurred. lastly, the biggest complaint is that the car stalled twice around 13,000 miles. both times at the stop-light (thank god) and accelerating. first time the entire electrical component shut off. placed the car into park and pushed the "start" button again. the second time the car would not accelerated, instead lurched forward as if we were being rear-ended, made a loud clunk noise and just stopped. both times no accidents occurred thank god. regardless, the safety of my family should not at this much risk when we purposely bought a brand new vehicle with all safety features.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 chrysler pacifica. while driving 5 mph, the vehicle stalled. the vehicle restarted on the first attempt. the vehicle was driven to o'daniel chrysler dodge jeep ram (5611 illinois rd, fort wayne, in 46804), but the failure was unable to be replicated. the vehicle was not repaired. the technician advised the contact to inform nhtsa and the manufacturer. the manufacturer was contacted and stated that the information that was provided was processed and someone would call back to follow-up. the failure mileage was 24,000.
