2 motor mounts on this car were replaced about 3 years ago and the other 2 within the last 18 months. now the center motor mount needs to be replaced again. these parts are defective and are apparently being replaced with also defective parts. chrysler should recall these, but i guess they are just waiting until there are no more on the road. my total expense for this has been over $2000. *tr

The engine cradle is corroding away, there is a large split in one side. chrysler has issued a safety recall for the same year, make and model cars for this known defect. however even though my car has the very same defect its particular vin is not included. *tr

I originally replaced the motor mounts on this vehicle in august of 2011. i am having to replace them for the second time now, january 2015 (mileage 215,000). i should not have to replace motor mounts more than one time in the lifetime of the vehicle. i have had the vehicle properly maintained by the same mechanic for several years. *tr

Two month after i bought my pacifica my abs light came on and has continued to come on even after it was fixed. apparently it is the sensor that keeps having issues. it reads a different speed than the other sensors. also i keep having an issue with my engine light coming on randomly. i have taken the car in for evaluation 3 times and every time they tell me i need to turn the gas cap so many times to stop this from coming on. this actually does not solve the problem, as it is still continues to come on and turn off randomly. again i assume a sensor, the automotive places are sure i just need to turn the cap,how many times will it need to be turned 20 cause 3, 4, 5 ,6 none of these stop the problem, super annoying chrysler cannot just fix the problem, they made the car it cannot be that hard to fix. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chrysler pacifica. the contact stated that as he was braking to a complete stop, there was a loud noise heard from the engine. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic who inspected the failure and replaced the motor mounts. the failure recurred. the contact stated that the motor mounts were replaced at least three times but the failure continued to recur. the vehicle was repaired a fourth time. the manufacturer was not notified of the recurring issue. the failure mileage was 120,000 and the current mileage was 142,000.

I was having my vehicle inspected and was informed that my engine cradle was rusting through. i checked out the problem on line and found out that this is a recognized problem with 2004 pacifica's and that chrysler has offered an extended warranty due to manufactures defect. however there is only a one month period (in-service date) that applies to the warranty. you can put your fist through the engine cradle. engine vibrates and we are concerned that it will fall out of the car and kill someone. we wont let our kids drive it anymore and cant afford to replace it. it is apparent that this is a common safety problem that could result in serious injury and chrysler not only made no attempt to contact buyers, but also fails to accept responsibility for the manufactures defect. please do your jobs and protect us from this obvious defect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was driving on the freeway, and all of a sudden the car turns of. i had my niece in the car. the steering wheel wouldn't move. i could've crashed and caused a major fatal accident. shortly after that i needed to replace the engine. luckily i had warranty. the dealership couldn't figure out why the car would turn off. this happened about 3 times. and still does. now im having problems with the motor. i've doesn't over 8000 dollars fixing this car out of my pocket. the car is almost paid off. i need help. i feel like chrysler has stolen money from me since i purchased this car. not fair. not right. *tr

i just want to voice my feelings on this company (chrysler) concerning the chrysler pacifica 2005 awd why wasn't this car recalled as a whole. it is a piece of crap i bought this car as a reliable family car being that i am a single mother of 5. i researched this car to make sure that it was going to be the right fit. i have had to buy 3 batteries for this car which to me seems to be a lot. the car burned oil constantly and no one could tell me where the oil was going, i had to have the motor mount changed i had to replace the egr valve failed my emissions because of it right after meaning seconds after it was changed the check engine light came back on while at the shop showing that the catalytic converter needed to be changed! not only did i have to pay for the egr valve but i also had to buy a two year waiver for my emissions in order to get my tabs because there was no way that i was going to be able to afford a catalytic converter. got the catalytic converter changed and the check engine light went off for about a month or so but came right back on. had to get the radiator repaired and now there is 5 different codes popping up p0305, p0404, p0736, p179, and p0720 im sure these codes mean nothing to you but i needed to address. i don't understand how so many complaints were made and these are from families people who spend a little more money on something that is not a mini van to end up with some crap!!!!! no one wants to spend their hard erned money on car repairs when i have to make life decsions on food on the talbe or fix my car well we are eating rice. i am attaching links from online complaints. http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/chrysler_pacifica.html http://www.edmunds.com/chrysler/pacifica/2005/consumer-reviews.html no family should have to go through this. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chrysler pacifica. while driving 10 mph, an abnormal noise emitted from the engine. the failure recurred several times. the vehicle was taken to a dealer. the technician diagnosed that the bolts on the engine needed to be replaced due to rust. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was not provided. the failure mileage was 107,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 chrysler pacifica. while driving approximately 5 mph, the contact heard a clicking sound coming from the engine. there was then a rapid increase in the engine rpms. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnostic test. the technician stated that the motor mount would have to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the failure occurred two additional times after the repair. the vehicle was not repaired a second time. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 69,000.

While driving the car the engine mounts break away from the engine, causing a rough vibration on the floor pan of the vehicle. this problem started happening on 10/31/05, 11/04/05, 10/26/06 to present, i have to constantly replace the engine mounts on this vehicle and i believe the breaking of the mounts affects the suspension of the vehicle. the breaking of the axle and tie rods from the pressure of the engine jerking with the mounts break. i've bought engine mounts with lifetime warranties being i have to replace these mounts so often.
