We have classified the 2 complaints from 2005 Chrysler Pacifica about EQUIPMENT into the following categories.
While driving and coming to a stop once i pressed on the gas to start again the car would make a bucking movement and then proceed to move on as normal. well one day car started to over heat as oil gauge raised, so pulled the car over and let it cool down. went to local gas station to pick up coolant and poured it in and then started car to see that it was all gushing out the front end. could not drive it so had it towed to a local garage for repair. come to find out that a front and rear motor mount had broken causing the motor to shift slightly every time i pressed the gas with this motor shifting it went over enough to loosen and undo the radiator hose which caused the car to overheat. the front and rear motor mounts were replaced, but it seems there may be more underlying issues due to the motors movement. *tr
In the past two years i have had to replace the abs vehicle sensors on my pacifica three times... even the dealer service tech says this should be a recall. *tr
I have had so many things go wrong with my chrysler pacifica 2005. suv. on friday april 16 2010 the car stall coming off the exit ramp of route 80 in paterson ,during rush hour. on monday april it was dead and required the battery to be charge. the battery had been charge on sunday april18. the car had to eventually be towed tuesday april 20, 2010. this car has been in chrysler's dealership twice in march. march 3rd for a oil change that ended up costing 392.80. march 24 it was towed in because it wouldn't turn over. you couldn't even jump start it. they replace ignition switch and cylinder. again they replace the crankshaft seal .{ this was suppose to be fix on march 3 2010 i paid for it. which brings me to the present the car is still at the dealership, this is the fourth day, they still don't know what's wrong with it. it could be the alternator they tell me.chrysler never offered me a loner car because they didn't have any. how about i rent a car? goodluck getting your money back. my car has many problems starting back to jan. 2009. i'm sure you can get the car history. it was purchase at chrysler plymouth of paramus in 2005 brand spanking new. *tr
This is the second time in approximately two years that i've had to have the same front speed sensor on my 2005 pacifica replaced. on september 13, 2007, the front sensor was replaced. it was still under warranty at this time at 33,000 miles. we were told by the technician that it was "defective." yet, there was no recall issued for the vehicles affected by this. fast forward two years, my car has over 50k miles, is no longer under warranty, and the same sensor has gone off. now, it is a 316.00 job. the part only costs 48.99 through pep boys, so the dealership (jones junction in bel air, md) is robbing me for 268.00 in labor on a service that takes all of 15 minutes to take the wheel on and off. please investigate this travesty of justice. i have been on the internet and it seems this is a common problem with my year, make, and model, and should be addressed by chrysler. *tr
High pressure power steering hose burst. replaced twice by dealer where car was bought. replaces part burst and the car caught on fire. car was a total lost. *tr
My abs light comes on and off i have replaced my wheels rotors and pads assuming that it was my brakes that did not solve the problem and seems like my brakes worked fine but @times i would get like a scrubbing noise seem to be coming from the front wheels well brakes are great. and was told to take my car to a chrysler dealership because the machine they had would not diagnose the code, well after that i new i would be into spending some money when i came to the dealership,i think this can be a dangerous situation if ever it came to a stop and would nt be able to .i think there should be a recall on the abs wheel sensors and the module control will never purchase another chrysler in this lifetime very un satisfied consumer this is a serious concern especially some one who has children they are @risk this problem needs to be rectified before as soon as possible someone could end up in a serious accident and i have seen enough of the same problems resulting in the purchase of the chrysler pacifica and problems such as this deters me away from purchasing american vehicles such as chrysler. *tr
On my 2005 chrysler pacifica, the motor mounts seem to be substandard and require replacement at a higher interval than normal. while this may not seem like a huge issue initially, a failed motor mount is a reason to reject a vehicle inspection in the state of va. shortly after purchasing the car used 2 years ago, i needed to replace a failed motor mount, now, 2 years later and with the car having less than 65,000 miles i am having to replace a motor mount again. the real issue now seems to be that chrysler as a whole is out of stock as there is a national backorder in effect at the moment. the fact that this part is on a national backorder makes me feel as if they are being replaced by many other pacifica owners. research online has shown that the motor mounts fail on the pacifica approximately every 30,000 miles. *tr
I noticed a strange odor when i drove the car from the lot. i thought it was the new the leather smell, but later found out that the driver's side of the car was leaking. i took it to the dealer and they attempted to fix the leak four (4) time. it still is not fixed. now other things are starting to happen, the passengers power seat no longer reclines, the radio will just quit working and so does the a/c. *jb
