The car just shuts off while running without warning while driving no dash warning at all
Car began to loose power under pressure, engine light would flash. usually when cold or pulling hard on a hill or passing. engine ran rough, misfiring and out of balance. could not continue to pass on one occassion; had to pull back, wrangle out of traffic and stop vehicle. misdiagnosed: replaced plugs, coil & injector on valve #5. did not correct. finally diagnosed as bad camshaft. vehicle has a hemi. technician stated he has replaced many of these on various engines with a hemi in a four year range. stated it is a common failure on those vehicles but not listed on a recall. this failure is a safety hazard. having expectations of the vehicle to accelerate quickly, as it normally would, nearly caused me to get into an accident. additionally bogged down traffic as the vehicle would not continue at a speed over 45 mph. traffic became bottlenecked behind me on the interstate until i could wrangle to the shoulder. i also own a dodge ram truck in the same year range and have been advised by the technician to be prepared for it ...
Coming to stop on city street engine shut off and was able to turn engine on after putting in park. after inspection noted engine oil at engine oil filter adapter housing base and leaking onto lower oil pan, drive pulleys, around alternator noted oil residue
Car stalled while driving and one time after refiring the engine, the shifting of gears was awkward. dealer changed oil pressure sensor. did not help.
While driving my car during a stoplight it suddenly stalled and died. my gear was still in drive. i tried to restart my car but it wasnt able to start it jus kept making a clicking sound like it was trying to start but couldnt and last for 30 secs. i wasnt able to put the gear into neutral. so in was stalled ok the road. after trying to attempt to restart the engine light went on. i am very frustrated because i just got my car back from the dealership after them replacing my water pump and thermostat twice 1 year apart. now it's back at the shop and i have to pay 140 to have them diagnose it after spending 1200. i checked my warranty and service contract and they all expired.
Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chrysler 300. while driving various speeds, the vehicle's thermostat ran hot. while accelerating, the thermostat would reset to normal. the contact also stated that while accelerating at 55 mph, the vehicle shut off and the electronic throttle control (etc) warning indicator illuminated. the contact had to wait thirty minutes before the vehicle was able to be restarted and resume normal driving. the contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the thermostat was replaced, but no error codes could be found regarding the etc. despite the thermostat replacement, the failures persisted. the manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failures. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 132,000.
My car shuts off every time i fill my gas tank. i crank it, put it in drive. as i'm driving, my car completely shuts off. this has happened numerous times in traffic. at rush hours.
Camshaft / lifters are prematurely wearing out( wiped ) the car is throwing a p0300 ,p0303 code but the spark plugs,coils etc are fine ..engine shakes and knocks while driving the smell of gasoline is evident lose of power while driving only 88000+ miles
