My 18 year old son was driving the car at about 40-50 miles an hour on a very busy street in bellevue washington, a city he's not familiar with when the car suddenly shifted into park and would no longer accelerate. he had to think quickly and by the grace of god he was able to momentarily get the car in drive and pull over into a driveway. once stopped the car would not shift into any other gear, it would revert back to park regardless of what gear you shifted it into. we tried to shift it into drive and it reverted back to park. this is the second very serious situation i've had with this car. the fuse happens over a year ago when the car just stopped running in the middle of driving. i almost got hit by a bus but luckily i was also able to think quick nd turn into a urgent care parking lot. it was a faulty alternator that was a part of a recall. i am very scared to drive this car and do not want my so. to ever drive it. it's supposed to be a second car for him to ...

After first recall with alternate all electronic systems started to fail suspension was going bad

My trunk is constantly popping, it was staying shut as long as the car was locked. now it's popping all the time, when i turn on my car, when my cars off but i'm pumping gas, while i'm driving. it's crazy 😜. i brought it to the dealership but they thought it was my key fob. that's not the issue. what could it be??? one day when it was super snowy out my car was parked and locked outside of my house and the alarm started going to off so i went out to see what was going on. my truck had popped. this has been happening for months

Was at a red light and car started to shake then i pulled over off the road and shut it off and my car never started back up again

Driving in town apprx. 35 mph check battery notification appeared on dash for the first time within 5 minutes the lights dimmed all dash lights began to blink message on dash said power saving mode and car shut off about 4 minutes later

I turned on the vehicle and after few minutes the car shows battery mode on the screen. right after that the vehicle smells with a strong burn fume from the engine. then the vehicle turned off and went dead no electrical power at all. thanks god i was parked when all this happened. no one was able to jump the car with another battery to get it started.

At 7:30 pm on the fdr drive approaching exit 17 at about 45 mph. my chrysler 300 went completely dead while driving with my children in the car. no warning the car just came to abrupt stop sliding for about 10 feet before fully stopping. the engine went dead the light went off i couldn't steer nothing on the car works, never seen anything like that in my life. thank god it was still bright out so i can and other driver was able to see me to avoid hitting the car otherwise we could of been dead or a very nasty accident. the nypd came ask what happen they said it's the alternator i used a jumper i had in the back to jump it it started i exit the highway it stop dead again no warning on 125 st. the officers activated the shift lock and help me push it to the side of the road. where i paid $217 to have it towed to brooklyn. called star chrysler sunday explaining what happen they said their service dept closed sunday. called back 7 am monday, they won't even come tow or send a tow truck. miss terry telling ...

Nhtsa recall number: 17v-435. for the past eight months i have tried to have this service recall taken care of. i have brought my car to my local dealership multiple times and was told that the parts have not shipped yet. i have made multiple documented phone calls to the recall chrysler customer care handling the recall for me and failed to get the replacement part. chrysler has been delaying the recall parts so that the vehicle warranties run out. on 4/11/2018 at 1 pm chrysler alternator started smoking. all the units in the cars were fried. would not shut off i had no control of anything. i also have a video of what happen and getting little help from chrysler.

17v-435 recall. message light shows on dash saying "battery saver mode". take car to dealer who cannot understand why msg is showing. runs diagnostics and cannot find any problem. says does not have parts to replace the alternator that is on the recall. 6 days later the car stops in the middle of the busy 4 lane road, dash light flashing, then flashing lights stop and car is dead, engine and all. called dealer, no answer. called aaa. tow truck towed car to nearest auto repair shop. auto repair shop found a defective alternator and battery damage. repair shop had no problem finding a replacement alternator. replacement battery not available.

Hand free phone doesn't work. i took the car to the dealer and was told that hands free module internally shorted and needs to be replaced. have read a lot of other owners having same problem.

I drove my car in the morning. it seemed like it was going to stall when driving home. parked the car. latter got in my carto start it and it made a odd sound. i looked at the dash and check engine light. lightning bolt. anti lock wer lit. ive not been able to start my car since. 3 months. 2013 chrysler 300 touring. it started reading 2 codes p0850 now its reading 7 codes. never got it to turn over. also my battery is draining.

There is loud clicking coming from the dash board area. temperature control failing. there is also problems with the suspension on the front end of the car. the cv joints are failing and the struts are failing. the rockerarms in the front suspension are also failing. the clicking happens stationary or while in motion and the suspension popping happens when the car is driving.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 chrysler 300. while driving 35 mph, the engine stalled without warning. the contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road. the contact turned off the vehicle, attempted to restart it, but the engine failed to work. the vehicle was towed to car pros chrysler jeep dodge ram (585 rainier ave s, renton, wa 98057) where it was diagnosed that the alternator needed to be changed. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 17v435000 (electrical system); however, the parts to do the repair were unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was contacted at 800-992-1997, but was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. the approximate failure mileage was 69,000. vin tool confirms parts not available.

I started my vehicle and immediately the alternator started smoking. i turned off the car and the alternator kept on smoking and right after that i tried checking for any messages on the dash board but the car was completely dead.
