Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chrysler 300. while driving between 20-40 mph, the vehicle vibrated, rumbled, and would not properly accelerate. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission torque converter was faulty and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer and quirk chrysler dodge (307 hogan rd, bangor, me) were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. the failure mileage was 135,000. the vin was invalid.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chrysler 300. while driving low speeds, the vehicle lost acceleration. the contact pulled over, restarted the vehicle, and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the vehicle was towed to river oaks chrysler jeep dodge ram (4807 kirby dr, houston, tx 77098, (713) 524-3801) where it was diagnosed that the transmission gear shift needed to be repaired. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 70,300.

Car rolls backward on hills with transmission in drive position.

When starting car (stationary), the automatic transmission gear shifter stays locked in "park" and will not shift into any other gear after started.

Gear shift will not shift out of park. i believe my vehicle is having the same issue as the k39 recall however because of my build date of 02/07/07, the recall only applies to vehicles built 6/25/07-9/21/07. *tr

Tl* takata recall. the contact owned a 2007 chrysler 300. while parked, the vehicle began to roll away. the contact was able to gain access to the vehicle and the air bag inadvertently deployed and caught fire. the contact sustained burns to the face, hair, right arm, and a gash in the left leg. medical attention was required. the contact stated that her clothing also caught fire. a police report was not filed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 16v352000 (air bags) and 15v313000 (air bags). the vehicle was destroyed. the vin was invalid. the failure mileage was approximately 120,000. ..updated 05/09/17 *bf *cn

Gear shift stuck in park wont shift, locked up in park position also while driving the acelerator rises to show a excellerate speed then goes quickly back down to the speed you were traveling ex: going 55 and guage quckly rises to 65 or 70 and drops to 55 again within seconds without going any faster than 55.

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chrysler 300. the contact stated that the gear shift failed to switch out of the park position to the drive position. the contact had to detach the metal panel to move the lever into the drive position. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that an unknown part of the gear shift lever needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage 78,664.

2007 chrysler 300 with 67,000.00 miles, pull in garage, later to go to the dr. and could not get it out of park, also at 50,000.00 miles heater in both front seats went out the same time. at 40,000.00 miles had to replace right and left sway bars.

My car was stuck in park and i had to have it towed to a shop to get it repaired and it cost me almost $400 to get it fix. i mailed off my receipt for reimburstment but i never received a refund and this was a recall.

Car was stuck in park and unable to place into reverse. research indicated this is a know problem for several makes of chrysler products from 2005 thru 2007. chrysler issued a letter custome satisfaction notification k39, floor shifter interlock lever, the car must be towed or parts removed to allow the shifter to placed into drive or reverse. the letter indicated repairs at no cost to the customer, just schedule your service appointment; which will take about one hour to repair. eight hours, $429.00 and one hour on the phone with chrysler (800-853-1403, for them to say sorry your failed part will not be covered. 1000's of vehicles are impacted by this highway robbery by chrysler and people are makeing home made repairs or leaving the vehicle in neutral not park as designed. please review this known issue and the methods chrysler is using to sucker people to get their repair business. cars are being stuck at work, in garages, rest areas on highways and shopping centers. *tr
