Transform Your 2015 Chrysler 300: A Step-by-Step Headlight Assembly Replacement Journey

Transform Your 2015 Chrysler 300: A Step-by-Step Headlight Assembly Replacement Journey

Hello everyone! Today, we embark on a journey to transform the face of our beloved 2015 Chrysler 300 by replacing its headlight assembly. Join me as we dive into the nitty-gritty details of this DIY project.

Gaining Access to the Headlight Assembly

Before we roll up our sleeves, let's ensure we have the necessary access. We'll need to remove the front bumper to reach the four bolts securing the headlight assembly. Here's a breakdown:

  • Remove the size 7 mm screws holding the bumper to the underskirt.
  • Detach the clips in the wheel well liner to gain further access.
  • Unhook the electrical line connected to the side marker light.

For detailed steps on bumper removal, you can check out our previous guide on replacing the trunk actuator and button.

Removing the Headlight Assembly

With the bumper out of the way, we can now focus on removing the headlight assembly:

  • Undo the 10 mm bolt securing the assembly.
  • Carefully pull the assembly outward, ensuring all connections are detached.
  • Release the electrical connector by moving the red tab backward.

If you're replacing the entire assembly, like-for-like, ensure to transfer any additional brackets from the old assembly to the new one.

Installing the New Headlight Assembly

Now, it's time to shine! Let's install the new headlight assembly:

  • Align the assembly with the designated slots.
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
  • Secure the assembly in place by tightening the bolts.

  • Reattach the bumper, starting with the clips and bolts.
  • Double-check for any loose connections or components.

And there you have it! Your 2015 Chrysler 300 is now adorned with a fresh headlight assembly, ready to illuminate the road ahead.
