My original transmission was replace once, approx. (1) year after purchase. since then there have been several revisits with the dealer to check the transmission for erratic shifting and free wheeling down hills. they have upgraded the firmware because they had issues that i have been experiencing. when travel at 25 mph the transmission will vibrate when shifting from 4th to 5th and back to 4th. when i come to a hill at 25 mph in 5th gear, it will coast then upshift to 6th (with vibrations). at 59 mph in 8th gear the car vibrates up to approx. 63 mph. chrysler customer assistance center were working with me until i expressed i need something to be done (not feeling safe in this car), they now are stating (frank-customer service supervisor) that because the dealer who inspected the vehicle (did not allow me to ride with him when he did a test drive), cannot find anything wrong, the case will be closed. i received a communication stating that the case is closed as of 6/20/16. it is very apparent that chrysler is now in a damage control since i asked to speak with a "chrysler representative", frank suggested that i would not be allowed to speak to him because they do not deem the issue to warrant such a conversation. he also suggested that if i wanted a second opinion from another dealer, i would have to pay for the service cost. frank also wanted to know who told me about the "chrysler representative"? i do not feel safe driving a car that vibrates and free wheels at low speeds and high speeds. it is very obvious there is an issue and chrysler wants me to go away.

The vehicle has had repeated electrical problems where the instrument panel will suddenly start flashing service transmission, service airbags, service brakes and during that time the electronic gear shift disengages from drive and alternates from park to low while the vehicle is moving. the dealership finally after two years of complaining and being turned away because the car was not storing an codes found the vehicle had a faulty electronic module in the transmission. this transmission has been service and reprogrammed 4 times since it's purchase in june of 2014 and now there is a new recall for the same issue. i'm not safe in this death trap. *tr
Enterprise auto sales sold me this chrysler 200 with an open warranty on it, which i discovered later on. from the time i drove it home, there have been issues with the transmission behaving erratically, surging or racing idle and lurching from a stopped and/or slow mph. it has also behaved as though its suddenly in idle only one to jump back into gear. it's been to the dealer for the tcm recall and that hasn't remedied the problem. then a new safety recall was released and there is no date on when the most recent issues will be fixed. i saw that my vehicle was potentially listed under the consent agreement's buy-back option for owners. when i spoke with customer service, i was told there was no such thing as a buy-back program and my vehicle was not within the consent agreement. i requested another department and was told there was no other department. i asked to speak with a supervisor and was flatly denied by the customer service representative who had a speech impediment. i haven't ever dealt with a csr that hostile. i'm surprised she works with customers. i've only had this vehicle for about 4 months and it's been a nightmare. definitely buyers remorse here. i do not feel safe in this car at all. chrysler has had more than a reasonable amount of time to either repair or refund this vehicle. i believe they should repurchase it from me so i can invest in something else. and as a side note: i have managed to track down all of he work orders completed on this car except for the first safety recall, and according to chrysler's records, it was repaired by a rental company who is now defund. very shady.

The transmission is defective and has serious safety issues. it has hard shifting and downshifting issues, always causing issues while driving the vehicle since it keeps jumping and concerns my safety and safety of other drivers. i filed complaints with the the attorney general and a lemon law suit with attorney troy gorman, however the company shows up a paper that i signed of my legal right to sue them for any warranty disputes! who will ensure my safety and other drivers safety then? isn't that a fraud and manipulating with the law? i wasn't given any copies of that document at the time of signing the lease, i wasn't told or explained any thing regarding this hidden fraud. please help me with my lemon case and complaint

While accelerating from stop and while in motion, there is a kick feeling when car goes from one gear to the next
I purchased the car and not 6 months later they did a recall on it. after this the car would always completely skip second gear when downshifting. so bad that it shutters back and forth when stopping, which startles me and sometimes its hard to run into people or objects. i have made several attempts to have chrysler fix the problem but they tell me it's fine. the service people all agree that it's a huge problem but chrysler continues to cover this up. when slowing down to a slow roll, a yield, and turning left or right, the car shifts erratically. the car will be in 3rd gear, when it's supposed to be in second gear but it won't downshift, the car will literally propel you when there is a slight acceleration of the gas pedal because it shifts into first like you're in a race car. at this point it's hard to maintain being in the lane you're trying to be in. not only is this a huge safety concern but also nobody wants to ride in my new car because the ride is so rough. it's appointing and absolutely unethical the way chrysler is treating me. i bought this car with money i saved from deploying to afghanistan and all for nothing. when i think about trading the car in, chrysler dealerships tell me that they have to give me even less money for the car because it shifts how it does even though chrysler says it's shifting as intended. i've been dealing with this extremely erratic shifting for a year now. also when you're slowing down to a stop and don't stop completely the car will do a burnout at times, obviously launching you forward. in the snow and ice the car will downshift violently and causing the car to start sliding down hills. all these issues happen at low speeds from 2-5 mph.
The transmission went out the first day i leased the vehicle (3/27/2015). the transmission shifts very rough up and down. it will also jump gears on the downshift and propel the car. the transmission was replaced once. the issues are still present and it has stopped in the middle of traffic as a result of these issues just last week. a control module was replaced however, the other listed issues still exist.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that there was a violent hesitation when driving. in addition, the vehicle jerked and vibrated intermittently. the contact stated that the brake pedal required to be depressed in order for the vehicle not to drive out of position. the contact also stated that when shifting drive to reverse, the vehicle jerked in reverse. the contact mentioned that the vehicle previously had the power train module and the transmission reprogrammed but the failure persisted. the contact also stated that a notification for nhtsa campaign number: 15v470000 (electrical system) was received. the vehicle was with the dealer for over a month and no repairs were performed. the manufacturer was notified of the failure on numerous occasions. the approximate failure mileage was 17.
The transmission does not shift correctly after having an update done to the tcm and pcm. the transmission had no issues before this occurred and now it shifts horribly while lunging forward coming to stops. upon deceleration, it will not shift down from 3rd gear until the car is almost completely stopped then downshifts to 1st gear lunging the car forward. even after stopping, the transmission will sometimes lag on take offs for 2-3 seconds then take off like the torque converter is not functioning properly. i have taken it back three times to have this issue fixed, two times they tried re-updating it and the third time replacing my pcm but nothing has changed this shifting. in fact, after the pcm replacement, the transmission seems to slip in 8th and 9th gears around 1750 rpms. it will also delay shifting up when climbing even the slightest grade even though the car is running at high rpms (5000-7000). this has been an ongoing process since the first update was performed in the midst of front hub replacement back in october or november with no ideas on how to remedy this situation. the car is less than a year old and has already been to the shop 7 times for reoccurring problems.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated abnormally while accelerating and decelerating. the vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. the contact was informed that the software for the transmission needed to be updated. the failure recurred five times. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
First day i purchased this vehicle they had to clean a spot out on the passenger side. about 3 months later i took it for an oil change and jerking to landers dodge off colonel glenn road.they told me it was doing that because it was new and the mobile hadn't been broke in . never buying a new vehicle before i believe this man.. sometimes when i first starts off it jerk , still does it today. they said my car wasn't a recall i dont9know why not it does what the other jerk all the time. don't think this is fair paying for a defect!!!! when chrysler is aware!!! it jerks when i first start off and pulling steep hills.first time i drove it to las vegas, nevada
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while attempting to drive the vehicle, the transmission failed to shift gears and the engine stalled. there were no warning indicators illuminated. previously, the vehicle warning indicator was re-programmed, but the failure recurred. the dealer diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the issue. the failure mileage was 17,465.
I purchased this vehicle used on 02/04/2016, and drove it off the lot the following day. i noticed almost immediately a defect in the transmission. during deceleration preceding a full stop, the transmission causes the vehicle to buck forward unexpectedly and substantially, which could cause potential injury or damage to any person or object that may appear in front of the vehicle at a moment when the vehicle has not yet come to a complete stop, but has slowed to a point where the vehicle appears to make no further forward momentum. this, along with the constant annoyance of anticipating and experiencing an uncontrolled forward moving thrust, compels me to file this report. please note that i returned this vehicle following my complaint. the transmission was subsequently replaced which did not resolve the issue, but in fact continues to worsen with continued use.
I have recall notice 15v-470 in which i have contacted gladstone dodge several times and i'm being told that "the power distribution center electrical connector" is unavailable for order. i have been working on this issue since i received the notice and have contacted gladstone dodge on 2/2/16/ 2/12/16, and now again on 4/4/16. the dealership is not able to take names and contact customers because they don't know when to expect to be able to order the parts
2015 chrysler 200. consumer writes in regards to multiple recall notices. vehicle has loss complete power while driving and the replacement of the transmission and fuse box. *smd
Vehicle can be in motion or stationary but seems like it periodically i step on the gas and it feels like vehicle is in neutral (only revs) then kicks into gear which can be very dangerous and might cause an accident. this happens at stops, small roads, highways and main roads in other words it happens unexpectedly at anytime anywhere.

I was driving my brand new chrysler 200 that i bought 4 months prior and it was completely shutting off in the middle of the road... i lost control of steering until it shut completely off so i could restart it. very scary when you have your newborn baby and 10 year old in that back seat. not once did a check engine light come on or any sensor come on to tell me that my vehicle had no oil in it. so i believe the engine, electrical, and sensors are all messed on this vehicle. i do not feel like i should be stuck with it because in the back of my head i no longer feel safe in this vehicle. i am reaching out for help because chrysler won't and i have owned this care since august and it was in shop for 17 days in january, i have it back but i still don't think it's running correctly.
Transmission was replaced due to recall now the gears dont shift right it vibrates and the car jumps forward on its own and takes off like a rocket sometimes in reverse i talked to chrysler they had me bring it back to the dealer as i was driving on a city street the front axle came apart i had it towed they fixed the axle but not the transmission no fix is available is what they said then the left axle started popping i took it back the left strut had to be replaced but still no fix for transmission and its gotten worse.
Engine blocked needed to be replaced at 14,000 miles. since engine was replaced the transmission is not shifting properly. 2 dealerships blamed the "adaptive transmission" for the issues. i have had the quick learn rolled back 3 times and car is still not shifting or stopping safely.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving various speeds, the vehicle shifted from fourth to fifth gear, jerked, and the rear end lifted up. extra force on the brake pedal was needed to stop the vehicle and the rpms increased. while driving 25 mph, the service transmission and engine warning indicators illuminated and the transmission became stuck in fourth gear. the vehicle was restarted and the warning indicators went off. the vehicle was taken to fullerton chrysler jeep dodge ram fiat (1050 us-22, somerville, nj 08876, (877) 375-6024) to be diagnosed, but the failure could not be determined. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided a case number. the failure mileage was 97,000. the vin was unknown.

I have a 2015 chrysler 200c with a 9 speed transmission, i have reported to chrysler and the selling dealer that the transmission when down shifting from 6th to 5th gear and 5th to 4th gear actually stays engaged and continues to pull the car along to the point tahe brakes have to be applied to slow the car down no help has been given to correct this issue except to be to;d that a lot of complaints have been registered to the dealer and chrysler corp.i am very concerned that left un-repaired it will cause a accident however i was also told by a dealer rep that chrysler knows a problem exists but doesn't know how to correct the issue i think this should be looked into before a serious accident occurs.
I have been having tranmission issues i have already taken it 3 times to do an update and the transmission is still shifting rough in 30 or 40 mph it only has 5000 miles
Compatibility of engine and transmission (powertrain). while stationary at a red light or stop sign while the vehicle is in drive there is excessive vibration in the steering wheel. while still in a stationary mode you can move the selector knob to neutral and the vibration will go away. this test confirms that there is definitely a torque issue with the drive train. chrysler has incorporated all known software updates and replaced all motor and transmission mounts. problem still exists. chrysler response was this is a characteristic of the 200 and will not affect any components. excessive vibration indicates that there are components not in acceptable range of tolerance and will cause components to wear out prematurely. this problem that is associated with the powertrain could become a serious safety issue in that the loss of human life is possible should the powertrain lock up due to premature failure of internal components.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving various speeds, the vehicle erroneously shifted into neutral. the vehicle was restarted and regained normal operation. the failure occurred on several occasions. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 22,000.
The power distribution center (pdc), shifter, parking break, transmission wire, power train, and engine stopped working on 12/05/15. the care completely shut down. i had it towed to a local dealer on 12/7/15. the worked on it all week through 12/10/15. the called me and told me everything was fixed. i came to pick it up, and i drove it back to work, to the store, then back home where it was parked over night. i wake up this morning to go to work and drop my girls off at school and the same thing happens. the car will not start, the brake is tight, the system is not detecting my key fob, and the care jerks a little bit and then dies. the dash will come on but the care will not shift out of park. i have it towed back to the dealership and they tell me "it worked last yesterday once we finished repairs.' i'm frustrated and made because i only received notification that 2 weeks ago that my car was up for a recall. then the dealer's service department tell me it's under 2-3 recalls. my insurance will provide a rental car. however, since this is mechanical and not due to an accident i can't get a rental. i call the dealer to request a loaner car, and they tell me that chrysler only provides them with five loaner cars, and they are currently being used for higher priority customers who major engine or transmission problems. if i read this one recall correct, one of the issues can cause me to hurt myself or others in a bad accident it this issue is not correct. to top it off they won't even provide me with a loaner car until they fix a problem that was caused in the manufacturing process. chrysler tells me that they don't usually replace cars, as they probably will only make repairs to fix the problem. the dealer here tells me that the recalls were made in february 2015. why wasn't i notified until recently. i could have seriously injured myself and my family. very unhappy!
